Winfield's Chocolate Bar, Houston TX

Walked in and was greeted by a young cashier. The store is smaller then expected with very few selections and overpriced not to be fresh. The pineapple covered chocolate wasn’t even close to fresh as well as the chocolate covered strawberries most the cakes looked old and dried out the other cashiers working was rude not helpful after the young lady left for the day. The coffee drink was bland not sweet wasn’t offered any sugar or cream overall I wouldn’t go back or recommend

Went to the chocolate bar at 07/30/22 and spent $50 on expired chocolate that was in the glass. The got the chocolate rice krispy (which tasted like dog food), chocolate strawberry (which the strawberry was rotten), chocolate moonpie (which the cake and marshmallow part was hard), chocolate pineapple (which the pineapple was old and white/pale looking), chocolate oreos (the cream inside the oreos where hard), the sea salt truffles (expensive rolo), and the oreo cheesecake (which the cheesecake was gritty). Everything was expired. It taste so bad. The cashiers were not nice, not helpful, and very slow moving. The white chocolate latte was not very tasty and I couldn't even taste the white chocolate. I'm very disappointed and I'm an out of towner visiting. Please don't go here until they improve their customer service skills and service fresh items.

PRICES are TOO HIGH.
Less than a half dozen Chocolate Covered Oreos were $13.00.
The ice cream is delicious. One scoop is huge in the choc.dipped waffle cone.

The German chocolate cake is a must! So is the coconut ice cream with chocolate flakes. We had a slice of Aunt Etta…meh.very dense, not fluffy or light or melt in your mouth, felt like we were eating brownies.

Huge variety, get something different each time. There is a treat for anyone, no matter how big or small your sweet tooth. The cakes are phenomenal. Staff is super friendly, must try.

I been coming here since I was 14 I love this place! Everything here is always sooo good! Their cakes are die for. They never disappoint. And after 8 half off their chocolate

Omg. I was doing ubereats and Like I found heaven. I tried some chocolate with nuts. And?
Then I tried the blue Oreo ice cream. Omg.like?

Lots of chocolate items in a 1950’s diner atmosphere. But prices were quite high, place was getting dirty.
Honestly, I was hoping for something with more interactivity: demos making chocolate, kitchen tours, classes.

I use to give this place 5/5 stars but maybe they have new management or something it isn’t the same anymore. The super cheerful and happy vibe is gone. I got there and no one said hello or attended me. There was just someone sitting down behind the counter on their phone. I had to call them 2 times for them to service us. The cases are empty and they don’t have much of a variety anymore. They took out the candy shop corner and replaced it with more seating. I use to love this place and now it’s not at all that

First time visiting The Chocolate Bar! It is a lovely Chocolate store with a variety of chocolates, cakes and ice cream. It is smaller and less decorative then I saw on TikTok but lovely none the less. I will say this, the only thing to sour our visit was the poor greeting upon entering. We got a quick hello from the 2 employees in the front that were chit-chatting with eachother but besides that, no real warm "welcome to the chocolate bar! " I told them it was our first time and they both were like ooooooh! But no further information on the store itself. I would've loved if they gave some wonderful intro about the background of the store. The chocolate itself is really special and tasty and reasonably priced. Will visit again ️

The cake slices are huge! We got the Aunt Etta cake slice warmed up and milk chocolate/vanilla ice cream on the side which was enough for 4 people I think.

It’s my second time coming here and won’t be my last! All of your chocolate dreams will be fulfilled when you step in. I’ve had German Chocolate, Aunt Etta (favorite), wedding cake, peanut butter cheesecake, Uncle Darryl and ice cream. The slices are huge and perfect for sharing. Until we meet again Chocolate Bar!

Best ice cream place. Sugar cones are free here. Our favorite is snowberry - vanilla ice cream with strawberries and flaky chocolate! We buy a double scoop and eat in sugar cones!
Their all chocolate cake is good, but not a cake fan so look for other reviews.

The driver in the Company Ford transit today was driving dangerously on 610 North to Downtown at 7: 45am today, May 19th. They nearly ran into the back of me and my kids, while they were speeding to cut another person off. Then caught up to me and cut me off after honking and using hand gesters to me. Just because you're having a lousy day, don't In danger other people's lives. People have families to go home to.

Decent dessert spot with tons to choose from. This place is known for its cakes especially the chocolate ones. I tried to switch it up and got the carrot cake and it was alright. Not the best I’ve had and below average I think. Stick to the German chocolate or others

I enjoyed it! I didn't see the old school candy. But the turtle chocolate candy and brownie was so yummy good. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely Delicious Chocolates, Coffees, Cakes, and Ice Creams! Employees courteous and friendly! The only advice I can give someone is eat lunch or dinner before you go or you will be trying to buy it all the goodies in there!

The wedding cake alone is reason to come here. It is absolutely AMAZING. Moist, fresh, delicious frosting that isn’t too sweet. Just plain scrumptious!

Absolutely love chocolate. This is the place to go if you have a sweet tooth. Place was not busy at all. Service seemed a little lacking.

Today was our first time visit the chocolate bar and it was the worst service ever! No one knew who was next and they skipped over us and other people. No one had any enthusiasm to work what’s so ever or try to be courteous to their customers. Let’s say our first time visit is our last.
