Wing Kee reviews
15Food is good but service is terrible. With the amount of options in Bellaire not sure why they don’t try to be more competitive.
I said I want half pound bbq pork. The lady gave me almost 1bl. That’s too much! And the lady just don’t care customer requirement!
I looking for a place to get shrimp fried rice, this little place looked authentic so I wanted to try it, I'm standing at the counter one of the lady servers come by almost knocked me down she did look at me are even say excuse me the cashier seen everything, she just smiled like everything was ok. The rice I got was over cooked not very good. I dont think I will return.
I ordered take out and my fiancé went in to pick up the food so I’m not sure how it looks like inside. We were recommended to get BBQ from a friend.
When called to place an order we were told they didn’t have any BBQ pork left so we went ahead and just ordered a whole duck. When my fiancé went in to pick up the food he saw a HUGE pan of BBQ pork so he once again asked to order a pound, this time since it was out they then said they have it. Even ordering a whole duck they were able to fit it into 1 container, but only provided enough sauce for half a duck. Since I was visiting I’m not sure if that’s the norm in Houston.
The BBQ pork was flavorful but the duck wasn’t as good. I’ve had better ones from many other places. The duck tasted more on the bland side even with the sauce.
Servers will tell you something is not available and then serve it to another customer next to you. What the hell?
A small Cantonese restaurant that serves big portions of food for sharing.
The sweet and sour pork was a little hard but tasted good. The wonton noodles were ok. Soup was Hong Kong style but the wonton skin was a little thick. The sautéed flat rice noodle with beef and egg was not too bad. Silky egg combined the beef and flat rice noodles together.
Generally all the food was a little salty for me. Service was fast and great though.
You simply must try the crispy roast pork belly at this restaurant. The dish is a true masterpiece, with perfectly crispy skin and succulent, juicy meat that practically melts in your mouth.
The skin on this pork belly is a work of art - shatteringly crisp, with just the right amount of saltiness to bring out the natural flavors of the meat. And the meat itself is incredibly tender and flavorful, with a rich, savory taste that will leave you wanting more.
This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately they were out of duck and bbq when we got there but the waitress gave many other excellent alternatives. We loved every bite and can’t wait to return and try more! Very friendly and helpful staff:)
Just moved to the area and the wife and i wanted some chinese. This place far surpassed my expectations. Delicious, well priced and big servings. 5 stars all the way!
Charges you whatever they want to charge you. My boyfriend went a picked up an order and he was charged more than what I was told over the phone. When I asked why the price was different from the original total, they said, “the price changed. ” And when i asked why was that they said, “I don’t know, ask my boss. ” And hung up the phone? Rude.
Do not go to this restaurant any more if you just want getting angry. The food is not fresh and their attitude is so bad!
Authentic Cantonese food. Char Siu and roast belly pork always top notch. Friendly service and good prices.
First time at Wing Kee. Been meaning to eat here sooner because of a local fb group (Asian Eats) constantly posting. I was really impressed. Service was incredibly good for a Chinatown restaurant. The servers were very polite and even offered recommendations. I definitely did not expect this. I enjoyed all the dishes and highlights are the roast duck and BBQ pork. Best roast duck I've ever had! So juicy and full of flavor!
Roast duck and crispy pork are to die for. Stir-fry beef flat noodles are quite good as well. Very good and fast service.
If you like Roast pork, this is definitely the go-to place. The meat is juicy and tender and the skin is extremely crispy. Kudos to the chef. The next time I am there, I will try to bribe the wife to get the recipe.
Roast duck was another excellent dish. Has some sweetness to the saltiness. Somehow, Cantonese has a knack for roasting.
The Fried Rice was ok.it lack the wok taste.
The vegetable Tofu with mushroom was recommended by the server, who I suspect could be the wife. She was extremely helpful and pleasant. We love it as we have a mixture of different type of greens.
If you are looking for a date night with romantic ambiance.this is not the place, but if you want to impress your date, especially one who knows about Cantonese cuisine, this is The Place. Order the Roast pork and duck, and she will fall head over heels for you!
