Wolfe's Cleaners reviews
10Friendly and efficient service. Was away from the neighborhood for 10 years, but moved back last year and went right back to Wolfes.
I rarely give negative reviews but today’s indifferent attitude of Wolfe’s cleaners really upset me. I’ve been going to Wolfe for more than 7 years and today, when I picked up my dry cleaning, one of my dresses was ruined. It used to be red and when I picked it up, it is now grey. All the red colors were washed out. Instead of apologizing and taking responsibility, they told me it is a manufacturer error and to take it back to the manufacturer. No offer of refund or anything, just go back to the manufacturer. Their indifferent attitude and irresponsibility were unbelievable. Well they lost a loyal customer and if you have nice clothes, don’t get it dry cleaned here! Stay away.
If this place ruins your clothes they will not make it right or compensate you and lie to you about why they aren’t at fault. They completely ruined a pair of my new and expensive wool pants (they were very clearly washed, not dry cleaned and shrunk about 2 sizes) and they refused to compensate me for anything and refused to submit a claim with their adjuster because I had taken the small tag off to try them on (even thought I still had the tag with me and brought them back less than 24 hours later unworn). I would highly suggest going elsewhere.
So they close at 3 on a Saturday? The rates are always different. Visit to visit. Whatever they can squeeze out if you they will.
Terrible bait and switch. Claim to have 2 for 1 special on Thursday. We'll they fail to tell you that they are going to charge your entire order as dry cleaning (even if it's something simple like a shirt). Conveniently dry cleaning is double the price of laundry anyway so you end up with literally no discount. Avoid these guys
Recently found Wolfe's Cleaners and what a find. Off of Studewood, in the Heights, the location is easily accessible, friendly helpful staff.
I've used this great Heights business for 30 years. Consistent & quality service!
Unfortunately, they lost my husband's suit jacket and I was given the runaround after calling over 4 times to hold on they were still looking for it. I finally get back to them with the value of the suit and because the suit is over 2 years old and my last call with them was 2 months ago and I don't have an original purchase receipt for the suit (who would have that?), they can't guarantee I will be offered anything in store credit for even the depreciated value of the suit. I was willing to give them one last try but this is outrageous since the error was on their end. They're the closest cleaners to me, and I love supporting my local businesses, but unfortunately they've lost my trust after losing an expensive item.
Decided to try this cleaners, even though it is a lot more expensive than other cleaners in the area. The chemicals that they used ruined one of my favorite workshirts - spots all over the shirt. I asked them for a refund just for that shirt and they refused, saying the chemicals interacted with my sweat and they couldn’t help it. So don’t take your clothes here if you’ve sweated in them at all! (which is almost always)
I was recently denied service at Wolfe's Cleaners and I feel as if it was racially motivated, but their excuse was "Since your not satisfied with our service, you should find another cleaners to go to". This reasoning was confusing because that should be a decision I would have to make for myself. Nonetheless, since the manager gave this reasoning, I would like to highlight some of the issues I did encounter. There were several occasions my jeans, which I always request to be pressed without a crease, would be starched in the middle. Often times I'd be anticipating wearing these items and would have to leave them to be redone or come back at a later time. Another issue I had, was with a tuxedo shirt that was cleaned. When I got home, I realized the buttons were missing, I brought this to the managers attention and her attitude was as if she didn't care, it wasn't her problem, and she swore that they didn't loss them. I brought the shirt back to show them and after searching one of the staff members was able to find the missing buttons. The manager was supposedly eating at the time and wasn't available; I'm sure she just didn't want to address her mistake and accept she was wrong. Also, in general, the staff never seemed to be customer friendly towards me. But even with these issues, the convenience of the location and Thursday dry-cleaning promotion, was not a big enough concern for me to not use this cleaners, but again the decision was made for me. I accepted their decision, as I defiantly don't want to spend money where I'm not wanted. This is my opinion and experience and wanted to share.
