Wyndham Garden San Antonio Riverwalk/Museum Reach

Nice hotel! Rooms are clean. Pillows are soft. No funny smell:) Quiet part btw the busy Riverwalk and the Pearl. Some good restaurants around. Have a restaurant and a bar at the hotel (though it closes around 9pm). A cross the street is a club which open late at night. Right on the river so it's fun to walk. Choose the balcony room so you can enjoy the view. Very friendly staffs. Nice sitting area right by the river and a pool if you want to enjoy swimming.

Picked the absolute worse time to visit. Cold as heck and River walk was desolate. Service from hotel was spotty, but forgivable. Restaurant was saving grace. Would highly recommend this hotel in more favorable climes.

My wife booked us a few nights here the other day and to my surprise I was not satisfied. The room was great but the front desk guy Nick was very unprofessional. He was flirting with my wife making her very uncomfortable and I had noticed he had white powder on his nostrils. Not sure what that is about but I won’t be coming back.

In 2022 why in the world do hotels not have their TVs equipped for a guest to log into their own streaming apps and watch what they want? ! It just doesn't make any sense, particularly since the TVs are equipped for streaming but the hotel has disabled it! It is so frustrating as a traveler.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay. They have a heated pool and hot tub. The room was immaculate. Everything worked, and looked great in the room. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t breakfast, but it didn’t change my opinion of the hotel. We plan on making this our hotel for our annual San Antonio trip.
This hotel is located on a branch of the Riverwalk that is quiet, not the main tourist part. We appreciated that. It was very calm, and felt very safe. There were people jogging all the time from local neighborhoods, and that definitely made us feel safe.
It was a 20 minute walk to the Alamo area. We enjoyed the walk, and saw some new sights along the way.

We were there for a small personal wedding and late lunch. They took care of everything it was fantastic.

Very, very disappointed in our three-night stay. This was our 30th anniversary so we decided to spend extra and got a suite in the hotel. Our suite was beautiful with balcony seating. However, we had to request that our room get made up on the second morning as we needed towels, the trash needed to get emptied, and we were out of coffee. The room had only overhead bright lighting in the sitting area and kitchen. We were forced to move one of the table lamps from the bedroom into the living room to provide soft lighting. Further, we were surprised that there was no breakfast buffet other than a couple of cold items. And, this simple breakfast buffet was not even offered on Mondays or Tuesdays. If we had wanted a hot breakfast, we would have been required to go into the hotel's restaurant and pay top dollar! Needless to say, we didn't do that and instead enjoyed a breakfast on the Riverwalk. Very disappointed and will not come back to Wyndham, and certainly will not recommend it to any of our friends.

Wyndham Gardens is a very beautiful hotel, we stayed in a king suite overlooking the river, the staff was very nice and its is only minutes away from all the wonderful activities San Antonio has to offer.

We actually went to eat at The Bourbon Street restaurant I side the hotel, but the hotel was beautiful, right next to the Riverwalk, we at Al Fresco, with the moon and sky so beautiful, really loved this place!

Upon entering the hotel it appeared to be average although I was told it was a top WYNDHAM property. The hotel is situated on a river but the part of the river where the hotel is located is in a not so safe part of the city & a home for mostly homeless people to reside which is what my view turned out to be. I was asked for $100 deposit for incoincidentals after reading the advertisement which stated with pictures it had a snack bar and a wet bar available. As I checked in there were six to eight other Caucasian gentleman that arrived that were never asked for the $100 coincidental fee. The open parking was $20 a night which was right across the street from the hotel and I felt was a bit ridiculous. Front desk was nice but seemed a bit agitated when I complained that I wanted to have a better view other than it's downtown homeless residence. There is not much in the area for visitors & you must travel inward closer into the down town scenic area to be apart of San Antonio's entertainment district. As a diamond member I expected far more or at least a snack bag upon checking in as other Wyndham properties practice. The front desk was cordial far from accommodating. They were much more interested in notifying me of extra endless charges with this trip. Nor is it a property that I will be returning to.

This if right on river Walk in the newer end. Lovely rooms with options of view & rates. Restaurant lovely and you can eat in beautiful dining room, outside overlooking the riverwalk - fountains or room service.

Smells like mold. Carpets are wet and smelly. Hotel yard is full of flies and mosquitoes?
Shower floor was sticky and not that clean. Take disposable flipflops for your shower.
Never again.
Staff was the best.

Nice and quiet location. Rooms were clean and comfortable especially like the location near the Riverwalk.

My husband took me there for my birthday last weekend. I loved it! It was a nice quite place with nice people. The room was clean and I loved the view. I had a birthday to remember. I would go there again. I would highly recommend it to my family and friends.

Management was very professional and smiling. Also the staff was extremely helpful. It was a great experience

Beautiful hotel hidden from everything but at the same time closed to everything, which I really appreciate since Downtown River walk can be loud in the middle of the night. The location is still on the River Walk but somehow is more peaceful. I love it! Rooms are very clean and costumer service is really good as well.

Got stuck staying here from a diverted flight. Staff very unhelpful. When having multiple issues, staff response was always "its the customers problem to figure out" and were unwilling to help. Each time they said this, we discussed with a manager on duty and the issue was promptly taken care of - as the manager realized it was a Wyndham issue to resolve. This tells me either the staff is lazy, or afraid to discuss issues with the management. Either way, wouldn't recommend staying here. If you do have an issue, just bypass the unhelpful staff and discuss with the duty manger directly.

Room was excellent. Bed was super comfortable. Shower is huge. For the cost of the room I am a little put off by the $18 per day charge for parking and other than coffee or tea there was no breakfast option besides the overpriced in house restaurant.

Nice property, great room, very clean, nice pool & hot tub. 2 things to be aware of. (1) Onsite parking is listed under Amenities but they charge $18/day, and (2) Location is pretty far down the Riverwalk from all the restaurants etc, probably a good 1-mile walk (which we didn't mind at all).
