Staff is horrible. They seem to be standing around and overbooking patients. But when you complain the Doctor just blocks you as a patient. Doctor seemed more interested in being negative instead of helping patients that complain that the staff is horsing around instead of working.not trying to be a karen, but if i see 5 employees waiting to do nothing while the patients are waiting over 4-5 hours for service the least they can do is prep and have everything needed when going in to see the dentist. Once in the room the staff had no idea where items were at and what to do as the doctor had to tell them to make sure the items were clean and sterilized. Overheard other customer if you posted anything negative here on goggle review they will remove you as a patient, thus the Jane Doe. Expect to wait as a patient and expect the employees to be rude and to be honest immature.

Very professional, caring dental staff and Dr. Tan! Always amazes me the pain-free aftermath of these procedures. Great experience!

Dr. Tan is a great dentist but many in his staff are rude, arrogant and condescending. It’s all about overcharging you as much as they can. Today when I simply asked to speak to Dr. Tan directly his staff refused my request even when I follow their directions via email, text and phone call. OUTRAGEOUS

Went to The Incredible Dr Tan again today. The dreaded root canal. Not one bit of pain! Absolutely the best dentist I have ever been to. I have had problems with the staff before but none at all today. Once again. Dr Tan is simply the BEST! M Brown

Super happy to have found this dentist. I went through several bad experiences when I moved to the valley - and this Dr. Tan is incredible. His staff is amazing and took great care of us. We loved having the "family" exam room. Same day crown made for a great experience. Their extended hour and excellent service made what normally an unpleasant experience great.

First time here today, I am so satisfied with everything! They are caring, kind, knowledgeable, super clean. An amazing Team with Dr. Tan and the entire staff! Best dental office, they work with you as private pay and they really show they care for their patients. AMAZING! -Dora A.

The doctor is very nice and did a good job. I liked it a lot. But, there assistants are not so good and nice. They haven't called me back for the order that I paid in advance. No follow up or anything.

Rude employees, Payment issues as well, was overcharged and teeth hurt still subpar switching my families dentist. The 5 star reviews here seem to similar something doesn’t add up about this place

Dr John Tan pays close attention to details. He runs his office like a well oil machine. Staff is friendly, efficient and very attentive.was even given a warm blanket to keep my legs warm. Had my teeth cleaned and a cracked filling fixed on the spot. Well worth my 2 hour drive!

There isn't an issue in every aspect with Dr. Tan; he does his job well. Our issue is that when I went for my last appointment, they charged for their "Sanitation Fee" due to COVID-19 when our cleanings are 100% covered by the insurance! This will be an ongoing charge per visit - $15 for regular cleaning & $30 for all others. Why is that the patients' responsibility? !? They should be making a claim with the dental practice's insurance for it!

The 1 star is for the front office, rude UN-professional, the office manager didn't seem to care about the issues when I told her. The Dr.is awesome he gets a 5 star for his work and how he handles himself. The front office however pushes patients away. And lie a lot, not good, if this place is losing patients its due to the front office staff not the work done. ************** Literally 1 hour after posting this I get voice mail saying " due to the review you posted online we are terminating dr to patient relations". So basically instead of fixing this issue they cancel me? THIS GOES FOR YOU CURRENT PATIENTS AND FUTURE PATIENTS IF YOU SPEAK OUT OR RAISE A CONCERN YOU GET KICKED OUT? WOW in a way its is better for me it saves me the headache of dealing with these people. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE The way they handled this is very unprofessional. And im guessing the DR is ok with this. OH well guess that's why your patient count slowly dying. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Last time I was at Xpress Dental was 5 years ago and today I needed some treatment done and the friendly staff made me feel calm and relaxed and the cleanliness, professionalism from all the staff, hygienists and Dr. Tan was still extraordinary! They explained everything in detail of the treatment I needed and how long the process would take to get it done and also what type of payment plan I could use. I am so thankful that they will help me get back in having healthy gums and teeth! Highly Recommend:)

This review delves more into the staff and their lack of professional courtesy. Dr. Tan does wonderful work but his staff (office managers, assistant manager, and techs.) overshadows that work. I had a very frustrating experience with their assistant office manager Evelyn. When I asked for her last name to note in my complaint her response was "I don't have to give you my last name". She also would not let me talk to the dentist to share with him her lack to professionalism and poor customer service. When I called back to see if I could speak to the Dr.the receptionist who witnessed the encounter couldn't apologize enough for our experience. I would also caution you on how your are billed. Be sure to verify with your insurance the amounts that you are charged. I had to dispute an amount for a crown of over 500.00 for dental work that I was NOT suppose to pay which they reluctantly refunded under the guise of "courtesy credit". They will use misleading terms such as "your insurance underpaid" or "your insurance did not cover the expense of services" ALWAYS verify with your insurance. It's unfortunate that Dr. Tan may not know what they are doing and by reading some of these reviews how many clients he has lost. Or maybe he does, who knows? Try a different dentist if you can.

Inconsiderate and rude staff
I had called in two days prior for a tooth issue and on the phone they stated that they would be able to see me and work on my tooth issue. Once I arrived one of the front staff members was ready to charge me co pay when the other staff member had to tell them that everything was covered. Soon after they wanted to add more services and I refused. Well it seemed they were upset because I only wanted the work I requested done that they started adding more charges from which they did not tell me in the beginning. Keep in mind that every visit they will charge you $30 so that they staff can buy their masks and materials for COVID-19 at patients expense and they did not inform me over the phone or even give me the option to agree. In addition when they took my x-rays I kept telling them that it was very hurtful and instead of taking it easy they were doing it even harder and the inside of my mouth was ripped and bruised as a consequence. I also was almost not given my procedure due to me complaining on how I did not appreciate how they were giving me additional charges and on how they were hurting my mouth. They wanted to set me up with additional appointments which included extra charges, until I told them that they had guaranteed me that they could fix my tooth that very same day. After much arguments they were able to allow the Dr to see me. I feel so bad for that Dr.because even though he was very good the staff and assistants were the worst and he probably has no clue on how they treat the patients. I will be complaining to the BBB and looking over the many duplicates of billing they charged me with x-rays. If you want to be treated like an ATM disposal by all means that is the place to go. I do not recommend that place whatsoever and worst experience ever. The only reason I gave it a one star was because the dentist himself is the one who earned that star by being amazing. But it did come with a cost.

Been here before and had a great experience, but today I took my daughter who is 6. One of the female staff members was really rude and seemed to have no patience for my daughter who was scared. She was really rough and made my daughter cry. She literally asked me if my daughter was gonna let her take X-rays or not because she had other patients she needed to take care. She was in such a rush and was so rough with her. They did not even try to help us and just recommend us to a specialist. Never will I go back or recommend this place. Dentist is extremely nice but that one lady ruined it.

I normally don't give any reviews but this doctor really does deserve it.
So I needed lots of work done period cause iam scared of dentist, and well lets just say I will continue to have this dentist do all my work and I highly recommend him. I would like to also thank all the staff really, a business owner my self customer service is #1 always and they went over and beyond. Thanks again doctor love liza C
