Yama Izakaya & Sushi, Plano TX

Found this place on our way home from airport! We were looking actually for Denny’s but they weren’t open, and I happen to find this restaurant open till 2. We got there around 1: 15am, so we had time to order. Everything was good! My husband had sushi! Employees were friendly! Am so eager to be back again!

If you're looking for the best yama location the one off of Preston is the best one no doubt! Service wise and food wise. Not all yamas are the same. This one has chef specialties added to the menu. I always get spicy chicken skins skewers and they never disappoint!

Really good sushi (except katsuroll) and good skewers. Disappointed in the mapo tofu as it wasn't near as good as the Plano location's mapo tofu so just don't get that but otherwise great place.

I love this spot! It's a great place to be at for a date night. Definitely have a lot of selections and the sushi is quality! I love your team, they are very caring and sweet. Thank you!

Fun, super authentic vibe. Really enjoyable, though if you're used to the Yama in Plano near 75 it's not very similar, though we like them both.

This place has so much variety! They have ramen, rice, stir fry, sushi, and others. Their service was a little slow but the food was worth it for the price. They have happy hour too!

I can’t rave enough about this place! Absolutely delicious! My wife and I are from Oklahoma City and no trip to Dallas is complete without stopping by here. Usually several times each trip!

I have been to every Yama and this might be the best one. Great bar section and happy our selection.

If you are hungry, don't go for the salads. Portions are very small. Best used as a side dish. Otherwise, it is Japanese street food.

My favorite sushi place! Great atmosphere, service and food! And it's a bonus they stay open late for after a night out!

Our new Sushi hangout, great relaxed atmosphere. Reasonably priced and very good service. If you’re in north Plano south Frisco you should put this on you Sushi restaurant list.

The staff are amazing and super friendly. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. Get the beef yakatori, you will not regret it.

Excellent Japanese Restaurant I have to say that the lunch specials are awesome tasty and not expensive. One day I had Katsudon and wow loved it very good. Another day I had the sashimi bowl chirashi.

Great japanese izakaya restaurant. Lots of appetizers to choose from and the ramens is simple yet very tasty. Currently, they offer happy hours from Monday to Wednesday on beers and sake. They also have a japanese import sake menu which is out of this world if you don’t mind spending a little more money

Totally loved the authentic experience and excellent service! Outstanding. This was our 1st time dining here, but most certainly will not be the last. The food is amazing, our server June was so kind and accommodating! However everyone that walked by checked in to make sure everything was great & worked collectively together! Outstanding customer service & highly uncommon at alot of places. Please do not hesitate to go here! As a matter of fact, run here! Lol

Authentic Japanese In Frisco ~!

Coming back from Tokyo, I was craving the ambiance of a Japanese Izakaya. Little did I know we had one in Frisco. Great bar food, especially the yakitori, takoyaki, and karage. Even better when your washing it down with some kirin or sapporo. Great place if you love Japanese bar food~!

I absolutely love this place! It's one of the few places that I know of that have a fresh sushi bar. They also have an amazing bar. The staff is so friendly, and it's just great

Yama is my favorite sushi. Almost said in Dallas but more like North America.
There staff is awesome and I always ask for chefs choice, never been disappointed

One of my favorite true Japanese style restaurant in Plano.not fake Americanized Japanese food but almost real Japanese. Also currently they extended full-bar space.but I don't like their sashimi and sushi quality. Yakidori, fries and others are good.
