YJ Dominican Beauty salon, Mansfield TX

I booked a service for Saturday at 12: 30pm. Wanting to do something nice for my daughter since she was in town, I gave her the appointment. I said I would make another appointment for myself the following week. My daughter arrived at 12: 28pm. She waited for awhile and called me to confirm the appointment time because it was 2: 00pm and she was still waiting. Turns out a client was squeezed in because it was her birthday. Well that was nice of them. My daughter got in the chair at 2: 15pm and services were performed. We would have been okay with a courtesy call saying they were running an hour or so behind and to come an hour later. I know sometimes our schedules get past us and that’s okay, just say so, so there’s no idle time. After services were rendered my daughter messaged me and asked what service I had booked and how much was it supposed to be. I told her a blowout and it’s like $60/$65 dollars but a $25 deposit had been paid so I would pay the balance ($35/$40) plus the tip. Turned out the balance due was $70, which means the blowout (minus the tip) was $95. I messaged Yoradi to call me so I could get an understanding of the pricing because I was confused. I’m still waiting on the call back.i am not trying to disfavor the salon, just wanted to share my experience. By the way my daughter’s hair did look nice. I took away a star for the 1 1/2 wait and a took away a star for not calling me to clarify the pricing.

Wow, I can't say enough good things about Yoradi. Her work is phenomenal! She gave me a bob haircut that is out of this world and that was my first visit. I'm natural, so this haircut allows me to toggle between a blowout or twist-out. I have already recommended friends to see her, and they also sing her praises!

Of course im not on ur database cus im not the one that was getting my hair done my mom was.but i paid$25 we waitin for an hour. She was supposed to be there before us. Bad communication.

Had a wonderful time here. She made my bleach fail hair do a complete 360. It’s so nice and soft. She was also super friendly. Would go again

I've been in search of a hairstylist that truly understands my hair and hair texture. The professionalism and service was beyond my expectation! YJ did an excellent job on my hair. I received soo many compliments. I loved the fact that she stayed on time throughout the process. Because it was my first time, it is recommended that you get the detoxify package and assessment. Well worth the $95. My hair literally had a spa treatment. I definitely will be going back!

Glad to have found a Dominican hair in Mansfield. Growing up in Brooklyn NY the Dominican salon was our go to so this reminds us of home.

I went to YJ, and I was honestly not sure what to expect since I’ve been looking for a beautician for quite a while that would actually take care of my hair. She made sure it was healthy and styled in a way that I could keep up with it myself… and help me to grow it out. Honestly, YJ has truly has met all of my expectations, and I am truly happy with my hair for the first time in a long time…I will definitely be going back every two weeks! It is so hard to find a beautician with the talent that Yoradi has. She definitely has the talent to take care of any hair type! She has a lot of knowledge about taking care of your hair, not just styling it. Thank You Yoradi! I can’t thank you enough! I’m hoping that we can get my hair back growing back soon too! I have been coming to YJ for 6 years now. I am never disappointed. She keeps my hair healthy and coloring is top notch. If you are looking for someone that really cares about the health of your hair, do not hesitate to book an appointment.

It was mine daughter first time getting a blow out, which she loves it. I was very scared but now I love it as well. YJ is very professional she took her time with my daughter is hair. I had been to another Dominican salon in Dallas, but it doesn’t even come close to this one! Booking the appointment was super easy and Yoradi was able to see me earlier. When I got there, Yoradi was friendly, attentive and definitely wanted to make sure I got the best experience possible. I really appreciate that she took her time with me and did what was best to fit my hair care needs. I especially appreciate the fact that she was super delicate with my hair after hearing that I’ve been naturally curly for about 5 years. Coming from NYC, I’ve been desperate to find a good Dominican salon and this one is definitely a hidden gem! Yoradi has a forever customer out of me, I can’t wait to keep going back!

I had an excellent experience being my first time going to this salon. I like that she tells and shows you what's going on with your hair and gives advice about how to care for your hair. I like that she does continuing education classes. You can tell when stylists aren't trying to improve in their craft. She was very professional. I will be returning.

I should’ve done this along time ago, but I was sooo obsessed with how beautiful my hair was that I forgot to write my review. YJ is sooo knowledgeable about hair and so great at what she does that I Highly recommend visiting her shop. I went to get a blow out and I was very pleased with the outcome. And reasonable prices not to mention she’s very kind and down to earth!
