York Allergy & Asthma West: John C. York MD FACAAI, El Paso TX

This review is a long time coming so I hope it’s still relevant information today. I went to Dr York in my teens after a PA at my PCPs office suggested I may have allergies. I had suffered from chronic bronchitis with fevers as well as an array of different symptoms on and off since I was about six. I went and had testing done, did the immune therapy shots, he also suggested using a neti pot (life changing product), got me on inhalers and regular allergy medications. Well, I’ll just say now that my life has been entirely different since then. I rarely if ever suffer from any allergy symptoms and I haven’t gotten sick + bronchitis ever since. I highly recommend this place. They absolutely know what they’re doing!

I don't understand why this place has good reviews. I fell for the "good" reviews and decided to get treatment here. I hope my comments help those on the fence to look elsewhere. There are so many issues it's hard to know which to mention. The biggest issue is that months into the "treatment" and I have yet to see any improvement in my conditions. I'm sure the Dr.and staff will find a way to blame me for not improving. The cost! I was charged my deductible twice before receiving any type of treatment. Since then I have had two large fees that I can't seem to figure out what they're for. And there is the $3.00 fee every treatment that is 3 time a week. So far this doctor has collected well over $5,000.00 U. S. D.and again I have seen no improvement. Seeing the doctor is another issue. He gives messages to his staff to relay to me while getting treatments. The staff is rarely able to answer my questions but trying to schedule to see the doctor seems impossible. The doctor doesn't see existing clients util after 3: 30 PM and his office closes at 5: 00 PM, not very convenient and it's always months in advance. I am not sure what the demographics of the clients are but this doctor is incredibly inconvenient and seems not to care. Absolutely does not attempt to work around my schedule and his recommendations and scheduling are as though time and money are limitless. Most of the staff is friendly but there are a few that are very rude. The atmosphere feels that I and other clients are an inconvenience or a bother to the staff and the doctor.

Sincerely, if you’re looking to get treatment for allergies or asthma try looking at other locations. The costs do not justify what you’re going to get in terms of service or health improvement.

When I first moved to El Paso back in 2018, I began to experience shortness of breath, hives, congestion, and brain fog amongst many other things. My general doctor suggested it was all due to stress, however, after meeting with Dr. York I learned that my body had reached its histamine tolerance and that I was allergic to many of the local weeds and grasses found in El Paso.

I am now on year three of my allergy shot treatment with Dr. York and I couldn't be happier. My hives, shortness of breath, and brain fog have desisted, and congestion is now only something that happens sporadically during high allergy seasons.

I am extremely thankful to Dr. York and his entire staff for helping me gain back my health! If you've ever stopped by the office, then chances are that you know how incredibly welcoming the front staff is and how kind and helpful they are.

If you are experiencing recurring or chronic allergy symptoms, this is the place to go to in El Paso.

Horrible to intern students reported them to my school I was terminated for no reason.
Turns out office manager took me on cause the doctor would be out of office for the next few weeks sooo yeah I loss hours and had to start all over and almost got terminated.
Other employees bully new interns and constantly disrespect them hopfully someone sees this and request another office to do internships with.

A great experience. I do not normally post reviews, but the incredibly positive experience I had inspired me to post this. The staff is professional and communicates well. Dr. York spent time with me to understand my issues and create a good plan to move forward. Highly recommended!

What a great experience! Dr. York and his Staff are really nice, very professional, very caring. Dr. York explains everything thoroughly and answers all your questions. I would definitely recommend them.

Dr York and his staff go beyond to take care of their patients and help figure out how to heal them. I have not met a better doctor than, Dr York. I would highly recommend him.

The place is clean, tidy and pretty. Staff is super nice and professional. The doctor really cares about patients, explains everything with details and resolves all questions. I would definitely recommend it.

Dr York is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He talks with you about what he thinks and what you want. Really listens Staff is friendly and helpful.

I hate Doctors, that's why I never go to them. Dr. York was so nice and took the time to explain everything to me. He made me feel very comfortable. His staff is great, I went the second time and everyone knew my name, they are very attentive. I recommend his office anyone that's not comfortable with doctors.

I have never been to a clinic so full of people who honestly cared so much before. They are all so courteous and take their jobs seriously. They understood my symptoms and we’re on task. I’m pretty sure they saved my life. This place and these people are worth it, you’ll be taken care of.
