Yoshi Japanese Cuisine, Corpus Christi TX

I stopped going to Yoshi Sushi when they no longer invested in their facilities and upkeep. The restrooms smelled like a truckstop. This usually means the kitchens are as nasty as the toilets and I lost any kind of desire to eat truckstop Sushi. It was the best place when it opened but The new owner has really let it go

Sushi excellent as always, and Regie our server- absolute doll. Such a charming personality and very attentive. Went for my daughter's birthday, and he helped it be fantastic.

Love the food and the staff.

I gave three stars because two times out of five times I have been there the waiter that took my order got it wrong or was rude when it came to making the order

For the most part, he is a kind man but two out of five times and I was not happy.

Again, I don’t want to give up on this restaurant just because of two incidences. But I might have to because paying $50+ to get the wrong order and not getting part of the order fulfilled kind of irritates me.

The best sushi and Chinese food in town. Great service as well. Try the Kill Bill and the orange blue rolls. Yum!

Great service and the staff was very good! Sushi was the best I’ve had in a while! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

We had a great time. The food was amazing. My husband loved the unagi. Kate was awesome and patient with our silliness. The Halloween costumes were pretty cool too.

Not worth your money. Miso soup was god awful instant something, sushi was not fresh, yakitori was dry when it should be marinated and what ever you do do not order the hot saki. Only reason I gave it more than one star was our waitress was super friendly and provided great service.

My favorite place to eat at. I love it and i never get tired of it. Best sesame chicken i ever ate and the is amazing. I cant wait to go back again soon and try something new

Had a date here and the food was pretty good, but very expensive. The beers were over priced also.

Get environment, good music. Server was very friendly and attentive. The chuck roll was SUPER spicy. They must use extra fresh jalapeños!

Very enjoyable! Bulgogi Roll was very tasty, even if the tempura shrimp was a tad cold. Godzilla Roll is huge - be prepared!
Preference Note: The nigiri is prepared with wasabi, but it's flavorful and not super-hot.

I brought my 14 month old daughter here for dinner tonight and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Yoshi’s has been one of my favorites for the past 10+ years, and the food is always incredible, but my heart was touched by my interaction with who I presume was the owner. She talked to and played with my daughter while I ate, even helped feed her. She checked on us a few times throughout our meal, rearranging my dishes so I could enjoy my food easier, complimenting my daughter, and just overall offering pleasant conversation. Our waitress was just as pleasant, but I felt the owner went above and beyond. She even bagged up my leftovers after I paid, helped me grab my belongings, and walked me out/held the door open for me. I was so grateful for her kindness. I immediately called my husband when I got in my car and gushed about the INCREDIBLE dining experience I had at my favorite restaurant. It may not have been much to her, but it meant the world to me, and it makes one of my long time favorites that much more meaningful to me. Thank you for such a lovely night. I’ll have to come visit more often.

The reviews were correct. First time in Corpus Christi and this was hands down the best sushi we’ve ever had. The Kill Bill Roll was like heaven. Great vibe, tons of rolls or other food to choose from (Chinese, Korean, etc.), great service, prompt seating. Would go here in a heartbeat again next time I’m here. 5/5 would recommend.

Great sushi, it seems tho their grill was a little too charred. The meat had a burned flavor and not a real char flavor.

I shared the New York, the Ninja, and the Dynamite rolls, they were all amazing. Great service and good drink specials too. Alissa was an excellent and knowledgable server.

Yoshi let me down tonight. We tried to go eat tonight and they would not take out reservation for 6 because they didn't take them at that hour (it was 8: 30 pm). They also told us that the waiters need to close out by 9: 30. I know this is not how the owners want their business to be run. So no more Yoshi for me. You've lost a very loyal customer and no longer will I recommend your place of business to anyone.

Ive been here several times so far, but went tonight for our 2 year anniversary and the service was beyond exceptional and the food was just superb. Great place for nice occasions or just a casual gathering.
