ZOA Moroccan Kitchen reviews
18Choose what you want in a river bowl or pita sandwich. A Moroccan Chipotle in terms of serving style and price, but way better in the author's opinion in terms of quality!
We ordered takeout the day after thanksgiving and all of the adults who had arugula ended up with food poisoning overnight (6 of us). Grandma passed out 3 times from vomiting and dehydration. I am glad the kids and one aunt and uncle didn’t have arugula and were ok!
I loved the African and Arab music playing, the healthy authentic food and the outside patio but the area felt too closed and confined. In fact, my first time finding this place was difficult because it was so well hidden. The back/side patio could use some opening up. Somewhere? The jasmine tea was okay but the food was definitely great.
The food is always fresh and extra flavorful. I also love that this place is local and also appears to do good in the community.
Food is excellent and authentic. I have been here just a couple of times but both times I had a refreshing meal that is not your run of the mill menu.
This was one of the best dining experiences I've had. And I travel a bunch.
The staff was on point as they offered a first timer help to understand their offerings. The food was fresh and delicious.
Will definitely return.
Holy mother of Jesus! This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my entire life. You know when you eat something that is so good you have to stop and marvel at how good it is…like I had a moment of euphoria eating the spinach pie.
How is this place not internationally famous? !
Oh. My. God. I have been to Morocco and let me tell you, this place is legit. Everything is absolutely perfectly flavored. Top 5 meals I’ve had in Houston. The guy who served me was also super friendly. I’m a loyal customer now - will be back, many many times.
Like CAVA but soooo much better. Staff very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Tasted great.
Zoa is one of my favorite restaurants. It is a great place for excellent moroccan food and service with no frills. The place is very clean and the ingredients are fresh. No better meal for the price.
Food was amazing! It was my first time here and it did not disappoint. The service was great I was able to try the different proteins before I made my decision, all the toppings were delicious and there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t love. The only thing was that it was a bit warm inside but they might’ve just had some AC issues. So I would just recommend getting the food to go -and also try the desserts cause the cookies were soo good!
Delicious food and friendly staff. We tried their fez sandwich and Casablanca one. Both tasted good and fresh and filling. Good food for the price. The staff were friendly and answered all our questions. We sat at their patio and it was very nice.
My friend I chose ZOA as a new spot to try for lunch. The staff were very friendly, letting us sample the protein choices and even recommending the best toppings for each meat. The food was flavorful and reminiscent of a Mediterranean flavor palette but clearly its own cuisine. The restaurant itself is set up like Chipotle, and we chose to eat our bowls in their dining area. They also had free samples of hot tea that was very delicious. If I lived in Houston, I'd go here regularly!
This place was much better than I anticipated, wide variety of options all delicious. Happy helpful staff. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating
The bowls are delicious! The combination of flavors is just perfect. The staff is very kind and the waiting time is little. They have a nice patio we’re you can enjoy your food.
Tasty! Protein and side selection amazing. Everything is flavorful and just feels like clean eatin. Portions are appropriate which I appreciated. Kept me from over eating. Very satisfied!
This place was delicious! Very flavorful, especially the “Pez” bowl with greens and the “Marrakech” as a sandwich! Got lemonade and the Moroccan jasmine sweet tea. Finished it off with Tiramisu. The young man that assisted us was very nice, welcoming and made suggestions to the amazing food. We’re definitely coming back and recommending to everyone.
The food was very tasty and fresh. I had a custom bowl of couscous, lamb, cinnamon carrots, roasted corn & cauliflower, avocado. For sauces, I did the red marissa and zoa green. Both were tasty and not so hot (I have a good heat tolerance).
This is for their new location on Richmond Avenue.
