I was struggling with the vision in my right eye due to cataract for almost a year. Dr. Patel took good care of me and with proper medication and wonderful treatment today I can see clearly. I am so thankful to her. I underwent Lasik surgery last week, which was done with extreme caution.

Dr. Patel is super professional with a great personality who really cares about her patients. Super knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a specialist. She actually cares about your health.

I have been going to doctor Patel’s office for six years now including having PRK surgery done, but it’s time to find another doctor. In all, Doctor Patel is great.

The PRK I had done was twice what friends paid at other locations, but I figured I wanted to go with someone who knew me rather than into an assembly line of eye surgeries.

There have been hiccups here and there with billing issues, but the final straw for me was learning about getting my floaters removed. The supposed cost was $1200 and I could come back as many times as needed to remove additional floaters. I came back a second time to remove the floaters on my other only to learn that, despite us discussing floaters existing in both eyes upon the original exam. I came back for the second eye’s floater removal, it was an additional $1200 for the other eye.

If you like long wait times and want to pay double for good care, this is the place for you.

I usually don't write reviews. However, in this case I felt the need to share my experience with Dr. Patel. I first saw Dr. Patel on November 8,2018 and went in because of a floater and I was overdue for a visit with an Ophthalmologist. As with most doctors on a first visit, I am usually a little skeptical due to not knowing anything about the doctor except for reviews. I found Dr. Patel to be very professional, caring and really listened to my concerns. I found her staff to be equally professional and considerate. She thoroughly discussed the condition of my eyes and was concerned about cataracts and high eye pressure which I was aware, but she explained the severity. From this point, we discussed treatment and that cataract surgery should be considered. My day vision was good, but night vision was somewhat difficult due to bright lights with halos. I was first treated with drops to bring the pressure down. Then proceeded with cataract surgery for both eyes which was performed October 28 and November 12,2019. Multifocal lenses were decided for me. I am happy to say that the surgery on both eyes went very well with minimal discomfort. My vision is great! I no longer need glasses for distance and computer and, hoping the fine print will come into view soon. No more halos at night and no floaters. It's like I have a new set of eyes. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Patel. She did a great job with my cataract surgery and overall eye care. I highly recommend her for all ophthalmology care.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, immaculate offices (both Vienna and Centreville), and Dr. Patel goes to great lengths to be sure her patients get the best eye care ever!

After an initial exam, Dr Patel insisted on dilating my eyes, and performed a sonogram. Seeing an unidentified mass, Dr Patel immediately referred me up the chain. I was diagnosed with a form of retinal cancer, early stage. She literally saved my life.

Dr. Patel is awesome! She is caring, compassionate and truly cares about her patients. Her office is very easy and convenient to get to in the Vienna location! She took my dad as a new patient while visiting me from out of state and having some eye issues. She immediately saw him and explained the diagnosis and took time to thoroughly check everything out as well as providing a follow up visit. I would definitely highly recommend Dr. Patel as an ophthalmologist!

Dr. Patel is by far the best ophthalmologist I have had the experience visiting. I had an issue with my 6 year old complaining of blurry vision - almost daily. I was worried about her and Dr. Patel fit me into her schedule immediately. She is so warm, so caring- most of all incredibly knowledgeable. She explained everything easily so even my daughter understood. Thankfully, we did not need glasses and she was able to save us money, time, and headache by offering guidance and solutions that worked for the better overall health of my daughter. Highly recommend!

Dr. Patel corrected my vision with PRK laser eye surgery. She thoroughly explained the benefits of PRK and that I was a perfect candidate for it, and she was absolutely correct! I'm very happy that she suggested the surgery to me, as contacts were becoming very uncomfortable & glasses aren't always an option. My surgery was quick & she made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. I experienced minimal discomfort for a few days, with the normal side effects of the surgery (astigmatism, light sensitivity) but that subsided within a few days and I healed exceptionally well. I did not experience much pain at all. At my 30 day recheck, I had better than 20/20 in both eyes. I know healing can vary from person to person, but I am very pleased with my personal experience.

I would recommend Dr. Patel and this surgery to anyone who is thinking about corrective eye surgery! She is very kind, knowledgeable, and I had no doubt that I was in great hands.
