Planet Fitness, St Francis WI

This location is very clean, the manager is courteous and attentive, the staff are friendly, and there is almost always a machine available.

I am a homeless nomad, and it is a common thing for us to join Planet Fitness as a way to have a place to shower and such. This facility has been wonderful. The people have been wonderful, and the hygiene facilities are top notch - I was impressed when I saw the gorgeous stone tile showers, and that was redoubled when I learned that they have both overhead rain showers and front-facing front/back shower in the same thing.

Very nice staff, always very clean. Machines always in working order. Kind of small, so you may have to wait for some machines.

Stopped in to see. Cleaner than I thought it would be. Nice atmosphere and the staff very helpful and answered all my questions. I'll be going back to sign up.

This gym is excruciatingly tiny. Given the square footage of the interior, I do believe that the space has been maximized to allow for as much equipment as possible, which is great, but there's no room to do anything beyond the machines themselves. Also frustrating is the fact that some of the more popular machines are constantly being used by some meathead for twenty+ minutes straight (with a handful of other similar types hovering nearby), or some kid popping a squat on the machine to delicately finger their phone, pretending not to notice those around wanting to use the specific equipment. Or worse, the patrons that tie up multiple machines simulataneously because they are supposedly using all three at the very same instance, or think that placing their keys and/or water bottle on one machine whilst using another somehow reserves both for their usage. The staff does nothing to address any of this.

While this gym is always clean, it's claustraphoic; you're constantly on the verge of physically rubbing shoulders with the other patrons. Good luck trying to get a poper stretch in during busy/peak times, especially given the fact that there's only a small side area for stretching (it's more of a partitioned corner). There's zero room do any kind of workout beyond the machines & freeweights. For instance, if you wanted to do weighted, walking squat lunges, any sort of aerobics, jump rope, etc, you are simply screwed.

The location is fairly accessible being that it's at the confluence of Whitnall & Layton, but it's also nestled in stripmall between a busy grocery & pet store and a Chinese restaurant, down the road from the airport. There's nothing that can really be done about the fact that this location is in St. Francis, which unfortunately comes equipped with the scummy locals and non-/broken English-speaking foreigners (both of which patronize this gym!), so your results may vary.

If this gym had more space, especially to accomodate other workout regumens/exercises and adequate space for stretching, included more copies of the popular, constantly used equipment (looking straight at the pec fly/rear delt machine and the large cable-rack machines), and had a proactive staff that cut down on patrons hogging the machines that spend excessive amounts of time on them and the people carelessly diddling their phones, I would give this location a higher review. As it stands right now, I would only go to this gym if you live very close by or are desperate to get your pump on and can tolerate all of the above frustrations.

Also, please mix up the music that's broadcasted. Listening to awful mumble rap on a daily basis isn't making me like your gym any better.

Very clean gym and all of the equipment is in working order. Great value and friendly atmosphere.

The crew is absolutely AMAZING! They always make me feel welcome. They are always cleaning and making sure this place looks spotless.

I've been to a bunch of locations. St. Francis location is small but not overly busy. Has everything you need to bulk up or slim down. No judgements, just regular locals exercising.

Large yet not overwhelming, clean, great staff and everyone seems respectful of each other

Clean. Pleased that I don't need to use an app with a bad privacy policy and can use a simple bacrode.

Everyone is very friendly and the club is very clean. There is always someone supervising that everything is clean.

Even though there is an above average number of naked old guys in the locker room this is still the best Planet Fitness I have been too. Clean and well maintained equipment.

The place is always clean and the staff are genuinely lovely, but the Wi-Fi never working has been enough to make me leave early a handful of times. If you like your streamed music to stop every 3 seconds and work better while being incredibly angry, this is definitely the place to go.

The team at St Francis definitely has the BEST club and work ethic of ALL Planets. I’ve been to all local clubs and St Francis is the cleanest and has such a welcoming vibe. The new manager Lori is great and always there helping members and with the BEST smile! I miss Jasmine so much but Lori has stepped up and is doing a phenomenal job. Tonio, Victoria, Joseph, and the rest of the crew are great and always cleaning and making us members feel welcomed and a part of the Planet family. Want the BEST trainer around? Take a class with Tonio, you’ll be amazed and tired lol

Went in to join for $1.00 promotion, tell me why there was a $19.74 prorated fee on top of the $1.00? Um, TERRIBLE false advertising. Bye

I like many things about my Planet Fitness St. Francis experience. Here are a few of them:

The gym is clean and well-maintained.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
The gym has a variety of equipment to choose from, including cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights.
The gym offers a variety of classes, including yoga, Pilates, and Zumba.
The gym has a relaxed atmosphere that is welcoming to all fitness levels.
The gym is affordable, with a variety of membership options to choose from.
Overall, I have had a positive experience at Planet Fitness St. Francis. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, affordable, and friendly gym.

Amazing gym, amazing people. Nothing too hectic, and everything is honestly enjoyable (depending the time you go).

Really like this one. Not as big as some of the others but new equipment, clean and well maintained. Can be a bit cramped during busy hours. Just make sure to watch the busy meter in the app and you'll be fine.

Strongly recommend using trainer's knowledge to get yourself in shape. If not NOW, WHEN️ if everyone kept the living quarters as well as this establishment, we could banish the virus. Everyone has to do their part. Summer Olympics 2024 occurs in Minneapolis, MN.
