What a beautiful experience we had on Dulce Vita. An elegant and luxuriously appointed vessel with an awesome crew. Captain Damon was highly skilled, friendly, and knowledgeable. First mate Shaun Elise had lovely energy, spunk, and great musical gifts to share. They provided their expertise, friendly conversation, and a really great variety of snacks and beverages. Our whale viewing was off the scale. One of the best whale cruisesI've had in the 19 years I've lived in Kawaihae. It was such an easy and enjoyable collaboration between us in setting up the special charter I wanted for my Qi Gong students. No doubt I made the perfect choice in selecting this craft for an outstanding event in every way. Mahalo nui loa.

We had an amazing trip with Suelang and Captain Damon. So friendly, chill and helpful, with so much interesting information. We saw SOOOO many whales. Highly recommend! Love the quiet boat which made the trip so much more relaxing.

We had the best hosts, Captain Damon and Captain Suelang.
They were both very knowledgeable.
Suelang took care of all our needs with a smile.
There had the best healthy snacks and beverages.
I've been on many boats and truly this boat and it's hosts are my favorite.
We saw many whales and heard their whale songs on and off the boat.

I can't rave enough about Kohala Blue!
This was our first experience snorkeling with our kids (ages 5 & 8) and my husband is prone to debilitating sea sickness. Therefore, I was expecting a mediocre trip, but instead we had the best time.
Our 5 year old was a bit overwhelmed by the snorkeling so captain Duncan entertained him by feeding the fish from the deck. The kids had a ball exploring the cabin and our daughter loved seeing the various sea creatures up close.
The very stable catamaran and lack of diesel fumes courtesy of the renewable energy power solved my husband's sea sickness and I was able to geek out with Shaun & Duncan about the power generation of the turbines and solar panels.
This was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend joining Kohala Blue for a cruise in the future.

Easy booking experience and great directions allowed us to find the boat easily. Cool easy vibes and it was such a relaxing trip. Great value for the experience. Love that we were able to be guided to the best snorkeling spots with no one but us. We were pretty much the only boat out there. Even saw some dolphins. Crew was amazing!

Our family of 6 3 adults 3 kids 5,7&8 had a wonderful time on the Dolce Vita. Captain Damon and Suelang were so welcoming and engaging. We loved how relaxing and quiet the boat ride was because the motor is all electric. The boat is very nice and luxurious and a smooth ride. The kids had a blast snorkeling and crushed the delicious snacks and drinks. It was a memorable day thank you so much Damon and Suelang!

I am a resident of Hawaii and have used a few different companies. However, Kohala Blue Sail Hawaii is where I will be booking in the future. There is not one single complaint about our experience. It was absolutely magical. The crew (Damon and Suelang) were incredibly kind and accommodating and did everything they could to make sure my husband's 40th birthday was a success. We did a private charter with 6 people and had 3 children aboard and the crew was so patient, friendly, and made sure everyone had a good time and had what they needed. Suelang helped everyone have an amazing snorkeling experience. We saw an octopus, sea turtles, a Crown of Thorns starfish, and more. Thank you, Kohala Blue Sail, for creating a day we will always remember!

The morning sail with Kohala Blue was perfect in every way. Captain Damon and Suelang were fantastic. After a leisurely sail to a fantastic snorkeling spot, Suelang expertly guided us around. We saw a beautiful turtle, morey eel, several octopi and other amazing creatures. The return sail was thoroughly relaxing. Captain Damon and Suelang were tremendously knowledgeable about the Big Island in many ways. We learned so much in a short period of time. The time flew by. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in enjoying a relaxing and chill sailing vibe on the water. We will be returning again for sure, likely during whale season.

Suelang was amazing. She helped the novice swimmer in our group but also guided the experienced swimmers. Captain Damon guided us to excellent areas to snorkel. We felt welcome and secure. The catamaran was comfortable and clean. All around an amazing experience.

We had a magical morning sailing with Captain Damon and Suelana. They took us to a beautiful snorkeling spot, giving us an incredible tour of the reef, pointing out all the interesting fish that inhabit the area. They are both so warm and knowledgeable. It was a memorable, fun and educational experience for all of us! It was perfect for our entire crew, two adults and three kids ages 5 to 11. We highly recommend.

My wife and I had an amazing time with Shaun and Damon! The boat was comfortable, snacks were delicious, and the hospitality was as good as it gets. We spent the morning sailing and snorkeling. Was a highlight of our trip and we will certainly do it again.
