Glenwell - A DePaul Senior Living Community, Cheektowaga NY

If your family are smokers don't waste your time - they never mentioned anywhere on application or website about strictly prohibiting smokers - so after many emails and taking off time from work to take my mother on a tour they got us excited about the possibly of accepting my mother because she was willing to quit smoking and doesn't eat for days cause she can no longer see well to cook - they declined us a said if she quits for 3 months she can reapply - ok so what happens when they don't like something she does? They will clearly just kick her out? So don't let the smoke and mirrors of how nice everyone appears fool you! I knew it was too good to be true! Now my mother fell in the street the other day and could have been killed because she was lying there with no help! All because the delay in finding a place since we thought we had one!

As an Aging Life Care Specialist and one with many years of experience in our area, I find staff at Glenwell to be extremely easy to work with and are very accommodating to my clients. The staff is wonderful from administration down to the aides. Stacy J.is extremely nice to work with and so helpful to my clients and their loved ones through the entire admissions process. The facility is beautiful and very clean. Every client that I have helped find a home in Glenwell has been very pleased with their decision to move into their community, the level of care they receive and the kindness of the staff.

With both my mom and aunt living here, I can say that we are all very happy! Everyone I’ve talked to at Glenwell has been friendly and knowledgeable. The meals are delicious, the activities are fun and the rooms are clean.

This place is where you want your elderly. They are top notch! Everyone! All the way down from the administration, to nurses, to aides, to maintenance! Excellent team who really cares about your loved ones. Very clean, constant activities, great food. And again THEY CARE! Would recommend this place to everyone! Also they have an option to switch your loved ones primary physician to a mobile medical nurse practitioner who is excellent! Stacy and Dominique are amazing and should be recognized for thier hard work. Wish everyone's loved ones could end up at Glenwell! I finally have a peace of mind knowing my Mother is being taken care of by these wonderful people.
