Dear Peregrine staff and to those that this may concern,
I just wanted to thank you and the entire staff at Peregrine for the lovely living conditions and the
quality of life that you were able to give our parents Louise and John Schuyler. From the minute
we saw your facility we knew that it was meant to be and we were so excited to have our parents accepted there. We know that a lot of nursing homes aren't the cleanest or offer the best care let alone much of any activities to stimulate anyone mentally. This intermediate living step was well worth it before a transition into a more intensive care facility was needed. We were so fortunate to receive the level of care that you provided to make our parent's final years enjoyable and dignified. We always enjoyed the apple fragrance when we entered the building and saw the red Cardinal (Mom's Favorite bird) in the tree in the lobby. It always smelled so
good there, the place was always spotless, there were always lots of activities or events going on and everyone was always so helpful to not only us but the residents as well. This brings me to my final thoughts, I especially want to thank Dad's favorite Tara that would be that spark and push back to Dad with their banter they shared. He would always look for her and light up when he saw her practically running down the hallway with his walker when he spotted her. This also goes out to EVERY employee there it doesn't matter if it was Mike from Maintenance to Mary the head of Peregrine not 1 person ever said let me get someone to help you or your loved one. Everyone regardless of their title would always take care of whatever needed addressing right on the spot and with an interaction with the residents that was truly special to behold how they would get the residents to respond with their kind words and gestures. Once again we can't thank you enough for the level of care and commitment that you provided to our Parents and we couldn't recommend you enough to anyone else in this same situation. I honestly can't think of anything that I would recommend that you improve on or that we were dissatisfied with.

Sincerely, Mark Schuyler

I was amazed when I first walked into peregrine, thinking how clean it is and how great it smells. I love the details and characteristics of the inside. Management very much welcoming, helpful and friendly. A great place to work compared to where I came from.

From the moment we considered memory care for my mother, the team at Peregrine was amazing. I had history working in the industry and never experienced such an amazing welcome. Ruth Lothammer visited my parents before they were ready to decide and held our hands through every step of the way from consideration through move-in day. My mother spent a wonderful year there and only left due to relocation to another state for my job. I can't name everyone, but even knowing the Exec Director, Mary O'Neill reached out to me after we had moved both of my parents and it was very touching. I have toured several places and am very happy with the care my parents are receiving now in Florida, but cannot say enough about the staff, beautiful facility and the intake process. God bless everyone of them

My friend has been living at Peregrine for over five months and they have been so good to him. The facility is always always clean. The food is so good. I have been able to join my friend for a few dinners and they are always great, The help is very friendly and good with all the residents. They talk nice with them. They have great entertainment weekly. I highly recommend this facility for your love ones.

I worked at Peregrine Senior Living at Onondaga Hill as an activity leader and saw firsthand every day what a great community it is and what a wonderful job the facility does caring for its residents. I found Peregrine to be a beautiful building with attentive staff who address the needs of residents in a timely and professional manner. The company philosophy of care for persons with dementia demonstrates great knowledge and passion. The building is sparkling clean, and co-workers are respectful and fun to work with. There is a lovely little chapel in the building and watching the residents maintain their connection with their faith at the daily prayer service was inspiring. Being a part of the activities team was a rewarding experience; every day we had fun leading the residents in a variety of creative programs. One of my fondest memories from my time at Peregrine was playing Bocce in the courtyards in the warm weather afternoons.

My Mother is 101 years old and has been living at Peregrine on Onondaga Hill for 9 months. Our family has been so pleased with the loving care she is receiving by so many wonderful caregivers at Peregrine. Mom has dementia and we realized she could not live safely at her home and could not be left alone. The memory care she receives includes a variety of activities aimed at stimulating her mind and keeping her engaged with the staff and other residents. The meals are delicious and are served while she sits at a table with 3 other lovely residents who have become her friends. Our family appreciates we can visit with Mom in her room whenever we want to, while precautions such as temperature screenings and mask wearing of visitors are in place to keep residents healthy and safe. I encourage everyone who has a loved one with dementia to visit Peregrine to see for yourself how well cared for our loved ones are!

I cannot speak more highly of this facility & the staff that they employ. My mom was a resident there for almost 2 years. Placing a loved one in a facility is not an easy decision, Peregrine Senior Living made both my mom & I feel like family. Everytime I entered, I was greeted with warm smiles & friendly hellos.
The care and compassion that they showed my mom as she continued to decline is something that I will forever be grateful for.
Mary, Danielle, Kayla, Ruth, Robin & Michael (to name a few) thank you & all the nurses & aides for loving my mom or as she was affectionately called “Grandma”. Perigrine willl always hold a special place in my heart!

Before succumbing to Alzheimer’s, my wife Margaret was fortunate to have been a member of the Peregrine Senior Living community, at Onondaga Hill. The facility is well designed, nicely maintained, and more than adequately staffed by cheerful and conscientious caregivers. Though Marge’s sunny apartment was a great place for a visit, I almost always found her with other residents in one of the common areas, listening to live music, engaged in a craft or exercise activity, watching a video, or attending chapel. I am grateful to have found a place for Marge at Peregrine when I was no longer able to care for her at home.

If you are considering placing a parent or grandparent here, pay attention to how senior management treat their staff and visitors who are not current clients or families of current residents. I was treated rudely and harshly and with an absence of kindness. What shocked me most was receiving an unsolicited voicemail from the Executive Director whom I've never met, and it was unprofessional and quite inappropriate. (I have chosen not to post a screenshot of the dialogue from the VM but have it should corporate want a copy) It's easy to be courteous and nice to people when they are paying you money but it's how you treat ALL PEOPLE ALL THE TIME which shows true character, and it speaks volumes. At a minimum, the current Executive Director of this property is in need of some serious HR and sensitivity training. What Peregrine should realize if they already don't, is everyone who visits the property regardless of the reason has parents or grandparents who may need to be placed in a facility someday. EVERYONE is a potential, future client and everyone has the right to share their experience with others- and any voicemails they receive. It is important to train your entire staff, especially those in positions of authority, to treat all visitors with kindness, respect, courtesy and professionalism because you never know if they are seeking a place for their parent and may be a potential client - or knows someone who is. I for one would never place a loved one in a facility where this particular E. D.had any authority and could not in good conscience recommend any Peregrine property if they are content to allow a person with such negative and offensive behavior to be in charge of residents who cannot fend for themselves.

I’ve been visiting this community as an entertainer for a couple years and I have never seen such an AMAZING community for those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The staff is phenomenal (especially activities!) friendly and everything is always clean. There are always on-going and engaging activities happening and again I have always been impressed every time I visit this community. I would 100 percent recommend this beautiful facility to anyone!
