Sunrise of New City reviews
7Amazing staff, they go above and beyond for residents and families, can't speak highly enough of Sunrise in New City!
The staff at Sunrise New City are kind, attentive, and professional. Our dad is happy and well cared for.
Highest levels of care; amazing staff who makes this home to every resident. The best assisted living in Rockland county!
Sunrise treats workers there terrible. My parents live there. Three workers have already quit because of the managers. They lost a very good hard working care manager. My family will miss seeing her there. I don’t work there but even when I went to visit she was always very nice and always working hard doing her job. I will also miss her very much.
Dolan the dance instructor, did not pay me to help him teach his classes. He told me to drive faster on the highway to keep up with him so we weren’t late for the classes because he overbooks. He insisted I’d keep the same speed he was going which was 85 miles per hour. I stayed far behind because I wasn’t willing to risk my life or the lives of others. He never paid me what he owed me, and I’ve been working with him since June 27. He is using awful name calling, I have never been so mistreated in my life. Dolan is a bad man.
I could not be happier or more at peace knowing My dad is at Sunrise in New City. From the moment I walked in, it felt like home and had such an upbeat vibe. It’s simple, the staff genuinely care, the care plan they put together for my dad is perfectly suited to his needs and it is beautiful and super clean. On top of that, the food is delicious! Me, my husband and my two puppies look forward to our visits and always feel welcome and comfortable. There is no such thing as perfect, but Sunrise comes pretty close. I have built wonderful relationships with the staff and feel very comfortable discussing any requests or changes. Most importantly, my father loves it. I can’t say enough, it’s changed our lives in the most positive way.
Happy Daughter
Our family chose Sunrise in New City after looking at numerous other facilities. We liked the fact that it was a small environment (under 40 residents in the assisted living) and felt more like an inn than an institution. The staff get to know the residents and are warm and friendly whenever we stop by. We can even bring our pet dogs to visit which was important to us and our father.
