Alison at Birth First Doulas was an absolute pleasure to work with and we are so thankful that we found her. I can not recommend her enough. She coached us through an incredibly difficult labor over 10 hours and was there supporting us every step of the way. The level of confidence, friendship and trust both my partner and I felt with Alison was incredible and we were so glad she was part of the biggest moment of our lives. Not only will we be recommending a doula to every single person who asks us about our journey but we will be specifically recommending people to work with Alison.

“During labor and the birth, Autumn was instrumental in helping us communicate with one another, and the nurse midwife. She made us feel comfortable in a hospital setting. We had a great experience with Krissie as our doula for the birth of our first child. We connected with her early in our pregnancy and knew immediately that her energy, warmth and openness towards the different ways to give birth were a great fit for us. Throughout my pregnancy and postpartum as we checked in about the changes we were going through as a family she continually shared a variety resources to support our needs outside of birth planning. She was an excellent support during labor and delivery and was key in helping me achieve my labor goals especially with position changes and movement. She was an encouraging support for my husband as well. I can't recommend her as a doula enough!

Using Birth First's postpartum services was very helpful in the transition to bring our little one home.all the postpartum doulas made to sure that me as the mom was getting taking care of and getting the rest I needed to recover after birth. They went above and beyond with making sure everyone in our household was getting rest and support also during this transition. Our family really wants thank Allissa for taking such good care of everyone in our family during this time. She gave the most helpful advice and encouragement to all of us. We felt so safe leaving our little one at night with her when we went to sleep. I appreciated that she was always offering to pitch in if we needed anything. Not only does she help take care of the newborn she also makes sure mom and everyone are resting and are able to take care of themselves. Of course having all of these doulas made this process so much easier and helped us with starting our new journey of parenthood.

My partner and I worked with Liz Haebe from Birth First Doulas for the birth of our first child. Liz is incredibly kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and very responsive. She helped us feel confident in the birth process and supported every step of the way. I would absolutely work with her again.

We used Birth First Doulas for the birth of our first child! Autumn was our doula and was INCREDIBLE. Our prenatal visits were always super informative, meaningful, and fun as she got us prepped for delivery. It was amazing sharing my son's birth experience with Trina Baumgartner. When I first started looking for a doula my biggest priority was finding someone with the right energy, someone I clicked with and I loved Trina from our first conversation on Zoom.

She is soft spoken but assertive. She is knowledgeable and good at giving clear, easy to understand  instructions. She was easy to talk to during our pre- labor visits and my husband and I felt well prepared for our hospital journey.

When my water broke she was precise with her instructions over the phone to me and my husband. She made it to our home quickly upon our decision that it was time. We all went to the hospital shortly after she got to us as I was already feeling the urge for pushing. When we arrived at the hospital things escalated very quickly and it was comforting having her by our side. We were beyond satisfied with her job before, during and post birth. We would highly recommend her and we would likely hire her again for future pregnancy.

We found our doula Sarah-Denise through Birth First, and I am SO thankful! I am a first time mom who was feeling extremely nervous about birth, and I wanted someone who had a calming, fun, sunshiney energy - and we found all that and more in Sarah- Denise. Having her in our circle to answer all our questions and be a calming force was priceless. My husband and I felt supported, listened too, educated, and encouraged. Our baby boy decided to come 2 weeks early, and Sarah-Denise was by our side via phone calls and then in person through it all! My only regret is that I didn't get a picture with her and our baby- so moms, add that to your list!:) I also found Birth First's communication to be incredible from start to finish, which is huge when you're about to have a baby and things feel crazy.

Our experience with Birth First Doulas was unforgettable. We worked with Heather, who held our hands and supported us through what turned into a high risk pregnancy with a premature delivery. She was flexible and accommodating, knowledgeable, and so invested in me, my husband, and our little one. I felt so supported by her, and she really helped me go into what was a scary and unexpected birth experience with my head held high and strength in my heart. I will never forget her!

We had an excellent experience with Birth First Doulas and Giselle Edwards. Both came recommended by two friends who had great experiences with Giselle. I was hesitant on whether or not I wanted and needed a doula for my birth experience, and I'm so glad we decided to work with Giselle. The process with Birth First Doulas was really easy and I appreciated being able to ask all my questions and interview several doulas before deciding to move forward. They really emphasize finding a good fit, and have a big range of services to offer. We met with Giselle in person two times before our daughter's birth and also had a few zoom sessions and lots of text exchanges with questions. We ended up having a lot of decisions to make during our birth experience, and my husband and I really appreciated Giselle's support and experience. We felt so comfortable with Giselle and like we had known her a long time after only a few meetings. I've recommended her and Birth First Doulas to several friends enthusiastically.

We cannot recommend Birth First enough. Kathy made our pregnancy and labor experience so much less stressful. Her professional experience and wisdom made us feel at ease. There were so many moments in the hospital that would have been much more daunting without her expertise. We think of Kathy as part of our family now.

We worked with Kathy at Birth First Doulas and truly couldn't have given birth so seamlessly to our beautiful daughter without her. She was a steadfast resource, answering questions throughout our entire pregnancy. When it came time to deliver she was protective, confident, and worked tirelessly to ensure I was able to deliver the way I wanted to with minimal pain. My recovery was a breeze and I am convinced it's because of her. My husband and I will remain lifelong friends with her. She's truly a gem of a human being.

Our family lives across the country so it was very important for my partner and I to not only have a doula, but have one who would also take the role of birth expert/health advocate/mother/sister.

From our first meeting with Crystal, we knew we had made the right choice and felt comfortable along the way. Crystal was beyond knowledgeable which allowed for us to learn and feel less stressed when it was time for the birth. Prior to the birth Crystal was quick to reply, checked-in, and always answered our questions/concerns.

At the hospital Crystal was kind, patient, fun, and could easily switch to what we needed from her at that time. We are so glad that Crystal was a part of our birth and what was slightly terrifying was turned in to the best experience with Crystal by our side.
