Café Zamora reviews
15 Insanely good coffee with balance. I had a Vanilla chagaccino. The flavor was fantastic, and the sweetness was perfect. It was enough sweetness to enhance the overall flavor, but I did not feel like I was drinking tons of sugar like Starbucks. The coffee also didn't cause me indigestion like most coffee does because the acidity was much lower.
The person working (not sure if owner) was kind and provided excellent service. The shop had a lot of space that wasn't utilized. They did have a couch and some chairs to use, and books for children. Also had a chair and table combo near the door. Several plants throughout the shop.
Overall, an absolute slam dunk. Will be returning and avoiding Starbucks or other similar places.
Oh, and the prices are ridiculously affordable.
Wishlist: Would love to see them utilize this space better, if only to give me more excuses to come hang out. Also, give me a 32oz size option for iced drinks, or just IV bags of your coffee so I can get it mainlined into my veins.
They have a unique "chagachino" mushroom latte which was DELICIOUS. Friendly staff and pastries that are sized right - so not MASSIVE, and nor too small either. And they're also the right sweetness!
Great place! Owner is super nice and the London Fog I got was great. Really reasonable prices too.
I haven't actually been to the cafe itself but the coffee is absolutely delicious, and an unbeatable price even by what generic low quality supermarket coffee charges. Quick delivery - I order 2 lbs at a time for $25 (that's 32oz - most brands charge $16 for just 12oz) and it's usually delivered next or even the same day. Highly recommend
Love this Guatemalan spot on SE Powell! The mocha with oat milk always hits the spot and the dark roast beans smell great at home! Authentic Guatemalan vibe with the decor and marimba music in the background! Hector and the crew are always super kind and friendly!
This has quickly and easily become my favorite place to get coffee and pastries. Every barista that has helped me has been amazing in quality and service, and Hector is very easy to talk to. I love coming here.
Great place with friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere. Directly sourced Guatemalan beans at good prices.
So …latest visit was looking for something new and noticed wonderful comments about this fellow…he has a most interesting story…. Ordered a fresh ground dark roast with a shot of espresso…rich, fragrant and bold. Something unique here, try it…think you’ll agree
This place is awesome! I came in when Hector was promoting Bloodworks Northwest Free Bite Friday. I was offered a drink and food on the house! Nice! I got the coffee soda with an Oreo flavored baked good (forgot the name. Sorry!)
Even though I got my order on the house, the food prices were extremely fair. Much better than Starbucks. He outsources his coffee from Guatemala, so the flavor is nice and rich. Hector also sells a lot of cool, little trinkets from Guatemala as well. Those are a little pricier, but they're coming from a different company so I understand.
Overall, this place is great. My coffee soda had a unique flavor that was both interesting and refreshing. He uses Topo Chico for the recipe which is my favorite! It almost tastes like a creamy Italian soda. The Oreo cake was good too. On top of all that, Hector is extremely kind and personable. You can come here before/after you grab a bite to eat with the food trucks and Chipotle being right next door. Or you can come here after a session at the gym. I had a really good experience, and you might too!
Highly recommend this lil hidden gem- just made my morning^^ if you are considering Starbucks across the street, come here instead! You will not be disappointed. Quicker and better service included
Best legit family farmed in Guatemala coffee around. Very friendly service and the owner is a great man
Delicious, balanced Guatemalan coffee straight from the farmers coop. Service was friendly, welcoming and prompt.
Amazing coffee and MORE! Has a very cute and decorative interior, very cozy. Friendly and helpful staff! Great place to relax or grab a snack n coffee to go
Wonderful place. Hector is very friendly and gave us a nice history lesson about his country of origin. We will be back!
Excellent coffee roaster with the best prices for beans! 2lbs of good quality light/medium roast beans for under $30 is remarkable. Highly recommend
