Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. reviews

Thank you for your visit with me yesterday.
I have a couple of questions. One thing I didn’t think to mention is that my toes and feet are quite painful when I go to bed. Can you suggest best ways for me to handle my pain management? Regarding my swollen knees I found a rice bag I had by made and put it in the freezer. You suggested cold.
Medications wise I take a Gabapentin 600 in the morning. Usually need ibuprofen or Tramadol in afternoon. Tramadol makes me tired. Before bed I take another Gabapentin and Hydroxychloroquine.
Any suggestions to modify or change what I take, I will appreciate.
The STAFF from the Receptionists to the Physicians and Nurse Practitioners (Ph. D’s in Nursing) ARE ALWAYS KNOWLEDGEABLE, CARING, AND EXPERTS AT WHAT THEY DO; AND, DURING THIS COVID 19. EPIDEMIC—-MODELS OF COURAGE AND GRACE.

I have never been to a rheumatologist where the dr. I saw for 5 min and talked to one the phone for a follow up for 2 minutes. Said I don’t think you have “mixed connective tissue disease, or any rheumatoid process going on, so there is no need to follow up! ” This goes against at least 3 other rheumatologists and their collective experience of over 25 years (1) of which was this doctors mentor.
I've been going to AARA for years and have always had a great experience. Especially getting lab requests and prescription requests filled while we travel around the country.
Everyone here treated me very professionally and they were friendly and kind. I felt they were genuinely interested in giving me the best care possible. Would highly recommend.
I was very satisfied with my care until I lost my doctor due to medical leave. I was given an older doctor that I did not like and felt like he was saying I didn’t need the medication I was on. Not sure if I will go back or try another Arthritus clinic. I feel like I’m finally getting relief from my pain and now he thinks i need to stop the medicine because Sed rates are good and X-rays good. No thought to the patient only tonthe reports. I’m tired of getting a doctor who finally listens and tries to help and then she got sick and had to take early retirement and I’m now with someone who only looks at the records not the patient. I am hoping when I see the PA that knows me and my history can make me feel better and keep my anxiety down about having to stop medications and starting all over. No thank AA&R. Your patients are important and need to be treated the same way across the board no matter who treats them. Although I understand the situations with my doctor but I was very disappointed in her replacement.
I really like the staff. The Dr. I saw this time was a wast of time. I went in hurting and left hurting. He told me to sleep more and change my diet. I really hope the new dr will be getter
Love the Glendale office of Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates. The staff is welcoming and the professionals are kind, patient and thorough. I recently moved to downtown Phoenix but plan to stay with the Glendale location because I like Dr. Peters and Dora Quan so much!
I have a really bad experience with this place,
They don’t respect the rules, and l see they don’t care what happened with the patients, l coming to see my doctor and l one minute late and the don’t see me, l on bad pain and l telling them and they don’t care, do l never coming back to this please
When I went in, I went in i had to have exrays done and my baby woke and started to get fussy and the staff came and took her out of her seat and entertained her.
My wife has been taken care of with compassion and professionalism. In spite of why she goes here, she doesn't mind having to be at her appointments.
Service was great. Problem is that Prolia shots are billed as Part B (office visit) rather than Part D (medicine). So United health care makes you pay more than the deductable which would be $95 so your part of the cost (deductable) now becomes $245 as a part B expense.
The Glendale office is a good place to go. My doctor is awesome! I cannot express how much I'm grateful for her service. I appreciate her in no small magnitude. The nurses and everyone that work in that office are very friendly and treat patients with dignity and respect.
Very friendly staff, always greeted when I walk in and treated great by doctors. Cathrine is amazing, she always listens and never blows my feelings off. I’m not quite 40 but have been experiencing problems for about 10 years and she is not giving up on me even though testing comes up clean. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs it.
My appointments are always on time, organized, and focused. Prescriptions are kept up to date. Well supported in managing my RA.

Excellent Doctor!
AZ Arthritis & Rheumatology has been my doctors office for years. They have always been great. No long waits and any discussion is comfortable and thorough.
Dr Dans Hoffman decided she didn’t want to treat me after seeing my test results where my inflammation markers were off the charts.
Yet she tried to put my diagnosis in a different way to me making me feel it was my fault. Saying plainly (YOUR FAT).
I was shocked to say the least. Not shocked to hear that I was fat, (that was the least of my worries, although would like to be back at my normal weight), shocked that after telling her of the severe pain I was in and had been in for a handful of years that she could simplify just choose not take me seriously because she just didn’t feel like treating me”.
She also lied and said that I “missed” many of my scheduled appointments so therefore that “banned me from the practice”. That wasn’t the worst of it for me. I soon found out that “ the practice “ included 9 offices in the valley that were all affiliated with each other. And the insurance I had (Access of AZ) only had coverage for “her” office.
So I have since then been living with increased health problems and pain.
I even tried to file a complaint with Access yet since I’m a person without much of any worth nothing was done.
All in all she was a terrible experience.

Dr. Soloman and his staff are willing to help you deal with your pain until you are feeling better. Usually within a day, you will have an answer to your concerns. Great people!
I have never had an office be so disrespectful, I was at this location for a 2 hours, They have a call center take their calls and set appointments the call center does not go over any information and transfer you to an eligibility team and then you have an appointment. I set an appointment and arrive at 8: 15 as asked to be there early for my 8: 30 appointment. I go to check in at the machine and then sit down 5 minutes later I had to ask for the new patient paper work While the machine informed me my appointment was set for 9-9: 30am because they have older people and assume it will take me a hour to fill out paper work
I am then called back at 9: 00 and see the NP right away and spend maybe 10 minutes no more than 15 with her and then get to sit for another 45 minutes while waiting for the doctor. The doctor comes in and I express my concerns with the office staff and she snaps and uses an "im gonna put you in your place attitude" to inform me that all their 1st time patient appointments last close to 2 hours and I should of make arrangements for that.
I asked to see a different doctor but apparently the president of the company doesn't allow you to swap doctors in the practice so if you don't like one doctor then you can't see any from this company.
I was not the only one with issues at the office as there were 2 ladies on the phone and you could tell one was dealing with a complaint.
I would not recommend this office or practice to anyone. While bedside manner is not against the law, it would be nice to see a practice that cares for the patient and not who is getting paid what.
Other Doctors have great reviews here but Dr. Amin was rude, disrespectful and above all showed no empathy for patients. One look and you could tell if it was not her way then it was no way.
Again please consider a different practice.
