I truly love living here. The front office has been nothing but friendly. My maintenance requests always get fulfilled in a timely manor. My ok my complaint is there are roaches. I’m extremely clean, and the day I moved in I saw roaches and have seen them every day since even though they have sprayed twice. Other than that, I really really love it here!

I have been a resident for about 5 years and I have seen some changes in the property that have been positive and negative.
The new owner has added washer and dryer units to the apartments and has slowly but surely been providing upgrades to the community.
The only things that I need to mention is that the back playground was destroyed and the security gates are almost always breaking down. I'm sure they are working on these things as quickly as possible.
Now if residents or guests would drive a little bit slower through the parking lots that would be a true blessing to.

Danielle Murphy and her team have definitely gone the extra mile to make sure my time at Avana Tempe has been amazing.

I moved in last year and am loving the apartment still. The grounds are kept very clean, my neighbors are friendly, the staff is very helpful, the property has a variety of greAt amenities, and the location is great. Whenever I’ve had to call maintenance (which has been rare but things do happen every once in a while), the response has always been quick and things get resolved immediately.

I’m very thankful to have found a place I like a lot and with a helpful and friendly staff.

Still no working heat & constructions still not done. Avana is essentially not turning on the heat this year. The office staff never has answers or resolution for when work orders will be done or when the apartments will have working heat. Office staff is rude & hangs up on staff with valid complaints since they don't know what's going on. Carol in the office is the rudest.

Great location. Staff are helpful. Close to shopping freeways and restaurants. Community look really good after the renovations. Nice color scheme.

This place is trash. Don’t move here. Apartment is filthy when you move in and we had roaches to. Air vent has been dripping water for a week now, when I also put a work order in. STILL NO FIX. Go to lake view at the bay, they are cheaper and nicer and only 1 mile away.

New management is terrible. Sadly, I signed a lease right before it sold, and I have the worst case of buyer's remorse ever. Do yourself a great big favor, and look elsewhere.

Oh yeah, I almost forget about the smoke smell. Every day when you come home from work you'll be reminded just how disgusting your place smells.

Not impressed with the management or staff, and there's roaches. I'm moving out immediately, even before my lease is up. Fed up.

For the past few months the ac unit keeps breaking down. It really frustrating especially during the times when AZ was hitting record breaking temperatures. The complex is dirty. As soon I find a new apartment, I'm going to take it. I can't stand living here another day! Tip: Compensate the residents.

Pretty much disliked the management of this apt complex. They are not organized, they made many mistakes on applicants paperwork and rent. They do to many errors. And quick turnovers in employees. They dont have pardon days on your rent payment they will instantly charge you. Still waiting on our deposit to come and its been 30 days and nothing yet. Also note worthy that they will attempt to charge month to month while still on contract.

Love living here! Sad I'll be leaving in a few months for personal reasons. If I could stay I totally would.

I’m sure maintenance is really busy, and I don’t even know if our work orders are still in place but man, I wish they would come check our vents: (it’s so hot, and there’s no air coming through even with the settings on high and down to 50 degrees. I’m worried about my son and my dog at this point. I know there have been some changes in the office staff so maybe it got lost in the change up but I think we should at least have some sort of cool air circulation with living in a desert: (

I have loved living at Flagstone for the last few years. The pools are nice, the property is always kept in good condition, and maintenance requests are taken care of so quickly. This is a great complex to live at.

Run away don't rent here! The office staff is useless. I had wrong amount of rent on my bill in the mail and had to pay late fees because the office screwed up. The request for maintenance can take 3 to 5 days for someone to get to you. That is unacceptable that we have to wait that long. I've been without a.c. For months. After 10 months I got a a.c. Unit from flagstone. But they came in my apartment 2 weeks later and removed it without notice. Still didn't have ac. I moved apartment and my new apartment has roaches and a hole in the bathroom. I told them to clean it up before I moved all my stuff in. Two weeks later they want me to pay 1200 to move in again. I told them that doesn't make since I had my keys in hand we signed a lease why would I pay 2400 in the month of September to move in? Office staff couldn't give me a answer. But magic happens here alot cuz 5 min later the fairy God mother must have done something cuz I was able to move in. All in all its more of a headace to move here and live here just pay more to stay somewhere else. I have emailed and asked to speak to the manager and all I get is silence. It really makes you feel like you are not valued or important. I see the manager online more then in the office.

I am very disappointed with Flagstone apartments. I liked living there and it was perfect for me and my then six month old son. Anyone who knows me will tell you that when it comes to cleanliness, I am extremely OCD. Yet Flagstone charged me $685 dollars upon move out for cleaning feees and who knows what else. This was totally unfair and I have told everyone I know to NOT rent from them.

My first apartment and it’s amazing! Max has helped us so much. An amazing salesman and has turned into an even better friend. He seriously deserves a raise.
Everything works and if it doesn’t, it gets fixed in 1-3 days. Even maintenance is awesome. It’s a good community and very diverse. Even the kids are polite in the neighborhood! Don’t let the bad reviews fool you. This is an amazing and affordable place to live.

Clearly they are only receiving one star because I can’t do zero. They definitely DO NOT deserve the one star they are getting either.

I’ve lived at flagstone apartments for the last 7 months with my roommate. First & foremost, let me tell you how outdated everything in the place is. The oven barely works, the stove burners had to be fixed on multiple occasions (at times we only had ONE burner we could use), only certain buttons on the microwave actually work. But the cosmetic misfortunes are the very LEAST of your worries.

Let’s get to the REAL PROBLEMS.
There is mold growing on our air vents and certain areas of the floor in the kitchen and bathroom. (Which we also found out another tenant who lives here had to actually MOVE apartments because the mold was so awful creating uninhabitable living areas.)
Our A/C unit broke in the middle of summer. It took multiple days to fix & be able to have our A/C work at all. It ended up leaking & literally caused the compartment our A/C is held in to start detaching from my CEILING IN MY BATHROOM. I went to work one day & came home not able to open my bathroom door because the ceiling detached so much it was literally hanging there causing a blockage to ENTER my own bathroom. That has been fixed since, however, my ceiling looks absolutely disgusting til this day. The paint is peeling off around the compartment, I have staples & black foam still on my ceiling from when they fixed it. Oh & I had to clean my own bathroom afterwards. Drywall, dirt, dust & everything else was all over my floor, counters & bathtub.

Now, the latest “news” we were told we were receiving washers and dryers in our units. (Which by the way are in your closet, so don’t plan to move in with someone you don’t know or like because it’s literally in one of the bedroom CLOSETS) People for the last week have been in and out, tracking dirt in OUR HOME leaving things a complete disaster. Our toilet was put in my roommates shower leaving dirt behind for us to once again clean ourselves. Her bathroom ceiling had a huge hole where they were working & it was left uncovered for TWO DAYS. Exposing who knows what type of bacteria in the apartment. They had an inspector come check everything to only have him advise that everything was done incorrectly & it would have to be redone. Oh & we still don’t have the washer and dryers & it’s 8 days later. We found out this is just “preparation” & the actual washer & dryers haven’t been delivered & that we’ll be receiving another unwanted notice we get in our door for another week long project that will interupt living comfortably & privately.

The maintenance guys for the compelx are actually the only good thing about living here. We expressed our concerns & actually felt they cared about our situation. They’re more polite than the people working in the office that’s for sure. As for the customer service of the actual employees & their choice of contractors who do repairs, it’s a big fat UNSATISFIED in my book.

I could literally go on forever about all the horrible experiences & uncleanliness of my current living situation but I truly hope anyone who is thinking about moving into these apartments really thinks things through & believes all these awful reviews because these people are not making this stuff up.

I'm a current resident, and I find myself conflicted as to how to write this review. There are plenty of upsides to Flagstone: the building I live in is fairly new and in good repair, the staff are phenomenal (serious high-fives to Max in the office), the location is convenient (local food, activities, shopping, etc) and I enjoy paying a flat rate for electricity. There are swimming pools, everything is clean and well maintained and the maintenance staff really know their stuff. There are, unfortunately, a number of frustrations: our dishwasher has not worked since we moved in three months ago, and I am currently awaiting a replacement; the apartment had not been cleaned well before we moved in, and the air filter was filthy (we ended up buying our own just to expedite the process) ; the renovations are more numerous than what we were informed of before we moved in, and they are taking significantly longer than expected (this comes with its own host of problems, and a level of noise/physical intrusion in our space that we are unhappy with) and the prices are steep for what you get. Once the renovations are completed and the interruptions to our daily lives are minimized, this will probably increase to a four-star review, with price being the only significant complaint. Overall, I enjoy living here, but we will almost certainly move somewhere else when our lease is up.

Total bait and switch. I saw the listing on two separate web sites for the same price for a studio $623 but when you get there the prices increase dramatically. For a old version I was told it would start at $741 plus all utilities and electricity so about $891. Then if you wanted a studio that was renovated it would start somewhere around $930 plus utilities and electric so about $1,080. I like how they low ball people to get them in the office then jack up prices. Pretty sure that's illegal. Total scam! Don't waste your time.

You have no control over the temperature in your own apartment. The pipes are rotting so your apartment smells like rotting garbage randomly. It's impossible to get things fixed. They have water leaks that the tenants pay for. Now there are cockroaches everywhere because they are digging up in front of the buildings to put in washers and dryers that take up the entire storage for your unit. They don't care if you are unhappy or if you break your lease because they make more money from you breaking your lease than from good tenants who pay their bills on time. They raise your rent every time you sign a lease and randomly increase how much you pay for utilities. I will never live in an apartment again because of this horrible place.
