I have no idea how this place isn't 5 stars. I have loved this place since the day I moved in. I keep my apartment on 68 degrees, I literally have no idea how anyone is complaining about AC. This is the best apartment for your money in tempe. The staff is amazing, I love seeing them on complex they are always kind and say hi.

Quiet community, everything you'll need is on site. Staff is super friendly and remember who you are. Great location, right off the 60, with lots of restaurants around and a fry's just down the street.

****NOTE****
This is a review only for 1 bedroom and studio apartments in the Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and Tempe area. If you are planning on getting anything else besides a one bedroom or studio apartment, this review may not be of much use to you. Also, a hint of advice, if you plan on moving anywhere into South Mesa, research CAREFULLY. There are a lot of locations with reviews that say they have bed bugs.

This review is for Flagstone Apartments and other apartments I personally viewed and rated. My experience with the following apartments rate from 1 star to 4 stars. Based off of similar apartments in the surrounding area, the following apartments are rated from least desirable (1) to most desirable (5). No location in this area reached a 5-star rating based off the rating system I personally use, being: Price, Likeability (Quality, etc.), Security, Location, and Long-term Living. Price, obviously being, how expensive it is, compared to others in the surrounding area. Likeability, being quality and how much you personally enjoy this apartment, the feel of it and could you see yourself living there. Security being, how safe do you feel there; is it gated, are there lights on the pathways, that sort of stuff. Location being how close it is to work, or businesses that you frequent, or how close or far it is from the freeway (this is a personal decision really). And finally, long-term living; could you see yourself continuing your stay there after your contract is expired, would you want to still live there.
Since this review is primarily about Flagstone Apartments, I will start off reviewing that, and later, I will review the other top choices.
Flagstone Apartments: (4/5 stars)
Price: 3/5 Likeability: 4.5/5 Security: 4/5 Location: 5/5 Long-term Living: 4/5.
This apartment scores 20.5/25 (B- rating)
I love being near the freeway. It offers a quick route to work and the grocery stores I like going to. Even still, Fry’s is less than a half mile away, and Target and Wal-Mart are both less than 3 miles away. This is a perfect location if you intend on frequently using the freeway. The security is also quite good, I feel safe walking to my car every day, and I hardly smell smoke or hear somebody shouting at someone. Besides the closeness to the freeway, the community is quite quiet. As for the interior of the apartments, they are nice looking. The appliances I received with my move in were literally brand new, I had to take the tape off the microwave type new. Brand new linoleum wood flooring, and all neutral colors from the floors, to the counter tops and the sinks. The apartment itself is obviously dated. It has popcorn ceilings, the cabinets are tiny, there is no actual pantry. The bathroom has a tiny toilet, and the tub/shower area has been re-caulked God knows how many times. Another thing is there is a roach problem. The roaches range from baby to medium-sized, but it is to be expected out of an apartment that’s been vacant for weeks. I bought some roach traps and roach spray, cost me maybe $10. I have only seen 2 roaches in the past couple of days, and I’ve only been here for a week. The exterminator also comes every Thursday to spray any apartment that requested it. But other than that, the apartment is likeable. The price is the only thing that messed with my emotions when signing the lease. The price I was quoted was roughly $975 for rent, water, sewer, trash, gas and electricity. The upside is that electricity is a flat fee of $58, so I can have it at 60 degrees year-round and that flat fee will stay the same. I can see myself renewing my lease here if the prices do not go up. Apparently, since they’re remodeling, I got a good deal on this studio, about $200 off. So, there you have it, my top choice is Flagstone Apartments! It is an overall good complex, just be prepared to spend a little extra for your apartment!

Great office staff. One week we had 3 things break or stop working due to current construction. After talking to the office, they were fixed immediately. They are also great host, with all the events lime movie nights they put together for their residence.

So I haven't moved in yet but so far the process has been great. Once I'm moved in and I have settled in I hope I can review again. This rewards program is something I've never had before so it's nice!

Never sign the lease before seeing the apartment you will live in. They never make repairs unless they are done not to last and will promise new carpet to replace the filthy one the previous tenant left. Pay your rent in person with witnesses or else it cant be found.

There is a lot fights and late night parties.

A.c. Is a joke.
Still charge full month rent even though ac was down for a month. I got my unit fixed 4 days ago. Will do anything to get money out of you. Lol

Save your money and go elsewhere! This apartment complex is horrible! I'm so glad I moved out. Their customer service is terrible! The apartments are way over priced for what you get. I had a lady in the apartment right next to mine, ask the office is they had a rack for her oven because her's was missing when she moved in, and they told her it's on her pretty much. Didn't even offer to get her a new one. Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. DON'T GO HERE!
