Worst Financial Institution to have a loan with!
Their online portal is not user friendly. Can't get the website to work and register my online account to have access. I call ALL the #s available on the bill and some are disconnected and others when you pick an option as to how to direct your call, the call drops. Had been trying for a month to contact someone to set up my payments, called the # for the lady who did my "interview" YES, you have to get an interview done to get a loan with these people, even after they have all your info and have agreed to give you a loan. Even worse after you get your 1st bill they have to go over the loan "interview" process again to verify they have have everything and for you to have access to create your online account. I was told that unlocks something to give you access. Well what a shocker it didn't. I'm still trying to create an online account so I can have access to my loan. I wanted to set up AUTO PAY but you have to fax or mail the authorization form you can't do it online because their website doesn't work and even if it did that is not an option. So needless to say no online access and no auto pay set, will be mailing my payments like we did back in the 90s. What century are you living in Challenge Financial? Won't be here for long that's for sure and definitely not an option for my next vehicle purchase. Definitely wouldn't recommend!

I was 3 cent short they where calling me 30 times a day this place is a joke gave car back now calling me 50 times a day they say call them when you do they laugh in your face

This company wrongfully reported my car as a repossession on my credit even though I never missed a payment and never actually repossessed it.my credit is really messed up now thanks to this company. Nobody should use this company!

I have only had positive experiences with the staff at this local branch in Phoenix. I was concerned initially back in 2017 after reading the reviews here, but my experience was SO GREAT I felt it necessary to insert my opinion. I made all my payments early or on time, but when the time came that I needed some help they assisted me with deferring a payment to the end of my loan for a small fee. Every call to or from the office was handled with respect and great care. Every question answered thoroughly and professionally. They are a great lender, very transparent, and helped me raise my spotty credit rating through a fair car loan.

Hello everyone just want to take some time to let this company and the people know I really really appreciate all the help theyve giving me since ive been with them ive went through alot if personal situations to where ive needed help with more time on my payment theyve always tried to help me figure it out i thought i was going to lose my car but once again they came through to help me & my son get through this im not a person who take advantage of anyone so I genuinely thank you CHRISTINA & THE PHOENIX BRANCH for everything youve done I highly recommend this pacific location to anyone who is looking to be treated like a client that actually matters!

I don't mind dealing with Challenge although I can never make an online payment or the one time online payment. And Everytime I call, it's either busy or goes mailbox. But when I do reach a person, they are usually very helpful and courteous. However, I would rather just make my payments online and not have to talk with anyone.

I honestly would have to say I enjoyed my time with challenge financial. My account advisor Sandra has always been nice and understanding when I was late for a payment due to other things. She never was rude, now that shes gone our new account advisor Yvonne shes is just as nice.

Horrible service the person incharge of my acct. Sandra well Sandra got fired due to her not doing her so was replaced with another Sandra is what i was told by Chris so due to her negligence i had to pay extra its w/e cool but these people FAILD to advise me on whats going on and continuing add extra fees later to be told its my falt even if it was the employee's negligence.

My payment options have become more limited toward the end of my loan. I was able to pay online in the beginning of my loan without having added fees. For some reason that stopped functioning for my account and I havent been able to get that back on after several phone calls. I was on autopay for awhile though I was a couple days late on a payment a month or two ago so that was put on hold. The phone automated payment system has never been functional for me. The only convenient option is to call the number and have them take payment over the phone with a person. They charge $10 per payment this way. Otherwise I can pay on a card that I can use at family dollar or 7-11 but that is super inconvenient and I'd rather just pay the $10 then go out of my way somewhere else. I've never had trouble with the staff or people answering the phones, though if the company would correct the issues with online payments and automated phone payments so I could avoid extra fees on top of my high interest loan, I would really appreciate it and would have given 5 stars.

I've been with Challenge Financial Since August of 2017. Had Sandra pretty much since day one. And I will say this company is amazing for those with less than perfect credit. They always assist in making sure you set a payment arrangement. Considering they record phone calls I've never had an issue. In fact I've needed an extension a few times due to car issues and as long as you keep in contact an inform they are willing to at least help! Thank you Sandra for your hard work an always staying professional even If the stress is on the customers end. Give credit when credit is due.

Do not use this company. They will be quick to report negatively, and never report any duration of your loan. To provide you positive credit. It's 2019, stay away from predatory lenders.

Besides my high interest rates, Challenge has been nothing but great! I've never encountered a rude phone call. If I forget to pay they always give me a courtesy call a day or 2 after just to remind me and they always try to work with me.

This is by far the worst financial company I have ever dealt with. Every time I have called, the employees are rude! They give you the run around and they argue with you instead of helping. Don't do business with them!

I have been dealing with Challenge for almost 2 years now. And have had several issues with making my payment on time every month. All due to a job loss. BUT, it does not matter what my issue was, my obligation was to make a payment every month. All I had to do was CALL and talk to someone And EVERY TIME I DID, They helped me out so I could SAVE MY CAR! So it's puzzling to me as a customer how people could have a negative review.
I feel I need to give a shout-out to one of the reps that seriously, went way ABOVE and WAY BEYOND to help me save my car after I was late with 2 payments due. Instead of telling me there was "NOTHING she could or would do yo help. She helped me come up with a plan and a commitment for getting my loan up to date and current. Her customer service skills are exceptional and genuine. She made me feel like she really cared and was willing to help me. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I have a LOT to be thankful for and I am thankful to Lupe`Salazar and to Sara and to Challenge in general. I will definitely use them again for my next car loan.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. I have been financing my car for 2 months and I've already run into so many unnecessary problems. Just yesterday one of their employees "accidentally" typed in the wrong account number and charged my debit card $250. And on top of that when I called to fix it I spoke with an extremely disrespectful woman named Sophia who told me "It wasn't all that big of a deal and they wouldn't be able to prevent anything like that in the future". After being rudely hung up on I called back and spoke with a different lady whom I don't know her name. When I asked to speak with a manager she told me he was in California and he wouldn't be back because he was working at the corporate office now. So I asked for the corporate number and then all of the sudden the woman was like oh wait he just walked in I'm transferring you now. When I spoke with the manager Christopher I asked him why his employee lied to me and he said he didn't know. Then he told me that he could give me my money back but I had to send him an email saying I wouldn't contact corporate or file any lawsuits if they did but I told him no I refused to do that and I asked for the corporate number. Later on when I tried to call it the manager Christopher answered the phone.

Horrible company, rude employee's and they constantly break FDCPA laws. They give wrong information all the time. With so many bad reviews its surprising they are still in business

The staff are unfriendly hound you call you the day your payment is due it is soooo ridiculous and this was right after I paid in advance and more than was due unbelievable. I have had my acct almost 3 years and they still hound me. I may a few days or a week late at the most but it don't matter to them they treat all their customers the same like DOO DO!

So far, not good. I highly advise against doing business with this loan company. After only one day past the loan due date, not only do they charge a fee, but they also consistently call you over and over and over. They harass you to make a loan payment if you are less than 10 days past the due date. The experience I have had so far has been a nightmare. I spoke to an agent who told me that there were two ways to change your bill due date; the first was to set up an auto-pay for the date that you want it to start. The second was to pay the interest per day up to the day you would like to change the loan due date. I chose the first option and set my automatic payments up on the 22nd seeing as how the company's website allowed it. That was last month. After 1 day past the original due date, I received a call from someone who'd had the demeanor of a bill collector. They were very aggressive and quite rude. This agent informed me that "it's in the contract" and I will be charged a late fee regardless because I was technically still late. I asked him why I wasn't told that by the agent that originally gave me the instructions on how to change my due date and he said, "It's not the agents responsibility to inform you what's in the contract sir. " *stunned* Completely deceptive business practices.
On the contrary, the agent is a representative of your loan company. They are quite responsible to inform all customers of your policies and provisions if giving them instructions that would cost them a late fee or an extra charge. It seems to me that this company purposefully misleads customers to be able to charge more fees as to increase their profit Revenue. Judging by the other reviews of this company I'm not at all surprised and I should have read all of them before I did business with Challenge. I'm going to refinance as soon as I possibly can because this company is not a good company to work with. I've been in customer service positions for over 20 years and I've never seen such pompous and blatant disregard for the customers best interest.
Update Nov 14th 2018:
Come to find out this isn't even a bank, it's a collection agency. They prey on low income and high risk demographics by design.
