Our builder used Chas Roberts and they were able to come out and help us with warranty issues. My wife was concerned, because the filters look clean after 3 months. Chas Roberts tech came out and told us that the filter looks clean, but is dirty due to small sand like particles in the air in AZ. We are not from AZ originally and this was eye opening. Then he changed our fans to counterclockwise told us to use the circ option on the AC thermostat and even cleaned my living room fan blades for us. He also poked out the holder in the filter area so the filter will not clang up and down during use. I really appreciate Chas Roberts sending us a a great tech with 15 years experience. Federico Veloz was the man! He came last night to help us fix our AC. He knew right away what the problem was and took ccare of it in record time. He was wearing a mask too for both his and my protection from the virus. Five star for and the lady who answered my call. Thanks you guys.

I am writing this letter as a complaint. I'm an employee at Chas Roberts AC and plumbing in Tucson, AZ. Merely wanted to share with everybody how this company claims to take care of their employees, however just a few days ago five employees tested positive for corona virus at our Tucson location. Do you think HR or any supervisor at the Tucson location mentioned anything to the employees? Well guess what, they didn’t.employees that have caught the virus don’t get any type of benefits or compensation for the time that was missed. It’s pretty disturbing that the company treats their employees this way because we work our butts off the whole year and when we call HR “Claudia” has a response for everything but unfortunately it's not to resolve the problem. This company treats us as if we were another tool and disposes of us when we break.

I had Chas Roberts install two A/C units on my house. I had a single local guy come out to service them for the upcoming season and couldn’t do so because Chas Roberts put a lock (which they only have the key) where you put the gauges to check the coolant level. They do this so you can’t use anyone else to service your unit except them. I called them up and said they wouldn’t come out to unlock it. The new service guy needs to buy a key. The receptionist was extremely rude and refused to let me talk to a manager. I will never use them again, and I hope this helps others to stay clear as well.

Today is June 4th 2020. At 5: 45AM large company can with your company logo all over it turned onto Sahuarita road. This van intentionally cut off a motorcycle that was traveling the speed limit and almost caused a serious accident because motorcycles can not stop nearly as quickly as a car when traveling at a speed of 40 to 45 mph. This van then turned down onto wilmont afterwards. I have a family and kids to look out for so if you are conducting business in the Tucson Sahuarita area please conduct yourself in a fashion that doesn’t jeopardize my life.

I have a Chas Roberts system in my house. It’s 5 years old and I have had nothing but problems. I was able to troubleshoot my most recent AC issue down to a leaking evaporator coil, so I asked CR for a quote for a replacement. They told me they would not quote without coming out to diagnose and I would be charged $85 for the diagnosis. I told them I didn’t want a diagnosis, just a quote for a coil replacement. I was informed it was policy so I accepted. This was the diagnosis procedure that I paid for.

Show up at house around 6. Walk up stairs. Open closet. Tech, “So you just want a coil replaced? ” Me, “yes”. Technician begins typing into his estimating app on his phone. Tech, “That’s gonna cost $2985 to replace. Its gonna be $85 for the service call? ” Me, “. But you didn’t do anything? ! ” Tech, “I had to drive out here. ” As he peels back a piece of tape over some insulation and shrugs.

So be warned. They will charge you to come out and diagnose, even if you don’t want it. They won’t actually diagnose anything (or do anything at all really). And then charge way more than anyone else. Also, the technician just had a poor attitude in general. I understand you’re just waiting for the day to end on a Friday evening.but c’mon. You’re making your company look like trash.

Do not use Chas Roberts. Their equipment fails right after the warranty expires. Their customer service is miserable. They’re overpriced. And the workmanship is rubbish.

Very happy with my AC service on 04/10. The technician Francisco found a leak in the system quickly, repaired it and recharged the system with coolant. The whole time he was cheerful and polite. The AC works better than when it was new. Great job!

In the industry we refer to them as "chainsaw Roberts". They have absolutely no intention of ever setting foot back in your home for warranty, the money was paid and they are done

Amazing service! We have had a couple issues, not with the equipment but with the electricity feeding the unit. Their technion Fransisco came out at 10 PM to fix the problem and found a couple other issues, one that was potentially a fire hazard that the electritions never checked or missed. He then made some improvements in the air flow because he noticed a kink in a duct. I will always recommend them, thank you for your prompt and friendly service.

Our air unit decided to stop working today before a heat wave warning for the area. I called to get some one and the earliest was the next day. I was glad for that. 3 hours later I get a call they can come in 20 minutes. Tech and and got us up and running in minutes. I am beyond thankful for their dedication to their clients and thankful they came out at night to help us.

Horrible horrible horrible. By far the worst customer service myself and fiance have ever experienced. My ac units are 5 years old and have 3 capacitors go out in the last 4 years. Every time they charge me an arm and a leg to put a bandaid on the actually problem by changing the capacitor instead of fixing what's causing the capacitor fail. Not to mention when I went out to look at my ac unit, there was wires left on the ground, the collars from the last capacitors they changed and they didnt put the caps back on the area to check the freon. They were left in the dirt. And then they proceed to tell my fiance in the most unprofessional tone possible, capacitors go out every year. Who knew right? Maybe? I'm not an ac technician but that didnt seem right. So I called the ac manufacturer and local ac companies who informed me that in harsh environments capacitors should last minimum 7-10 years. And them going out yearly isnt supposed to happen, theres another issue. That sounded more like it. If you're under warranty for parts, and doing it yourself voids the warranty, just because Chas Robert's installed the unit doesnt mean they have to do the warranty work. Which I also did not know. Or I would not have used them from the begginning. If there were negative star values I'd be double tapping them. Needless to say, I would advice anyone using Chas Roberts to work on their ac unit to find another provider. The Better Business Bureau is a great recourse.

Called them to do some exterior plumbing work and was advised that they do not do work in Oro Valley at La Reserve. Surprising, as they did similar work for my neighbor across the street. However, based on the fact that the work that they did for him is now leaking and the reviews that I have read, I think that I was better off going with a different firm.

Dangerous and stupid people. Just had on of these people driving at high speed. I tried switching lanes and he just floors it and comes at me with the company truck he was probably going 70+ in a 45. Real idiot.

Just purchased a CAP with the first scheduled visit today. Todd arrived on time, provided a/c maintenance and installed a hard start unit to the compressor. Wow what a difference! No more thumping and banging when the unit turns on and off. Todd proved very professional and knowledgeable. Very happy with the work to date.

Horrible. The technicians have no idea what they are doing and are not capable of finishing the work. They left us without a.c. Which was not working correctly, but was at least operational until they came to "fix" it. Tech was unable to do the work and said the lead tech would be there later to do the work. 24 hrs later and nothing. No a.c. And no idea when they will be back. Called and was told could be up to midnight tonight. Midnight? What planet are these people from?

Garbage Customer Service, 2 different service calls that I had to take time off of work for. BOTH service calls the technician was not only late but did not even have the common courtesy to call. I am only doing business with them because my home builders said they carry the warranty for repair. If you have the choice choose someone, anyone else.

Chas Roberts Heating and Air Conditioning repaired my unit yesterday. They came out within the promised time frame and Alberto, the Service Rep, was absolutely great. He stayed until the air conditioning unit came on, (he had to pour water on the unit for twenty minutes because it had become so hot.) It was nearly 100 degrees in the house. The price was reasonable and quoted up front. Thank you Chas Roberts.

Horrible. Technician says I need an ISO test and will be out in a couple days.work order goes in, Chas says I need to power off my AC for 7-10 days before they do the test!? Are you kidding me? So I called 4 other AC companies all of which laughed at that statement. I do not know what type of ISO test they are doing, but it is not standard for sure. Oh well, new company will be out to fix Chas Roberts mistakes. Nothing but issues since I have moved in and horrible service.

Horrible! I do not recommend. The tech that came was rude but that's not the worst part. He was in the attic for waaaay too long, went to check on him and caught him sleeping, even got it on video of him snoring! Called to complain and his manager never apologized, in fact he said I shouldn't have recorded him. Horrible all around. Never fixed the issue either. Never again. Do not go with Chas Roberts.
