Chuze Fitness, Tucson AZ

Very nice place for a good hard workout I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice gym to workout in.

It would be nice if they designated the circuit machines for the circuit only like other chuze locations, its extremely annoying and rude when your in the middle of the workout and others sit down for their own personal sets when the machines are in a circuit program

I have been working out with Jordan for a few months now and I have really gained a lot of muscle. He is also very mindful of an old knee injury I have and to make sure that I don't push myself to hard and cause injury.
I have had great experience with all of the staff at chuze and really enjoy going to the gym.

What can say chuze is the best, I have gym memberships to two other big name gyms and non come close to the equipment and staff

Love this place out of all the Chuze locations, even when it’s busy it’s not swarming busy. Machines are good and never broken which I can’t even say for LA fitness or planet. Could use another leg press and a normal smith machine that is stationary. The ONLY reason I’m giving a low score is because in the past couple of weeks someone has been bringing a toddler in who plays on the equipment and often screams at the top of his lungs standing in the middle of the grassy area? This week he did it for at least 30 minutes straight and could be heard throughout the gym. Everyone who didn’t have earphones in could hear it and it’s a huge distraction, plus I imagine a liability for the business as I know most places don’t allow small children anywhere near equipment. One day it looked like he fell while playing on a treadmill the girl watching him had turned on. Not sure if it’s an employee’s kid or what. For $22 a month I shouldn’t have kids distracting me from my workout.

The gym has handicapped parking available which is great for me. But the parking lot seems to run out of spaces during the weekends. The only option is to park across the street at the Fry's store.

There are 3 types of memberships available: basic, premium, and more. The basic is just basic use of the equipment. I have the premium membership which allows me to use the hydromassage bed, the tanning bed, the sauna, and allows me to attend exercise classes, visit any Chuze gym I want, and bring a guest (as a basic member) on the weekends. Quite frankly, I mainly joined to use the hydromassage bed. The more membership allows you to bring a guest whenever you wish and access to special exercise rooms. And the guest cannot use the hydromassage bed unless they pay the nominal fee.

The gym check-in can be done on your phone with an app or you can request a card to scan. Your guest will check-in on the computer. First they will create an account; which will make all their check-ins fast and easy.

This location has updated its exercise claases. They have added a Silver Sneakers class. They have a cinema which is supposed to follow a movie schedule. It's disappointing when the staff ignores the film and plays something else or forgets to start the film. It kinda makes sitting in the dark exercising alone sad.

But there are other areas to exercise. To listen to the TV's hanging above you will need a headphones that plug into the machine. There is no Bluetooth. I don't have Bluetooth anyways so I like the simplicity. I don't want to buy anything extra or get upset because my battery died. I just want to do a simple workout, get a massage, shower, and go on my way.

Overall I like the gym. It seems nice. I just wish that people wouldn't sit on equipment for over an hour watching TV or chating. I don't mind if you're using it. But you could sit on the sofa and have a conversation with your friend allowing other people to use the ab equipment.

This location does not have a kids area, a pool, or a smoothie bar. It is accessible on the ground level. However, there is a small elevated area that has ab equipment and a circuit which is only accessible with narrow stairs. There is no elevator.

Prices went up hella high no wounder every one is going to planet fitness cheaper and for the same stuff and a free guest unlimited not just week ends. I look forward to the free guest because I like company. Did a tour on both and i have made my choice.

This Chuze is my favorite. I wish they would build one in north tucson on the west. The Chuze Crew is so nice! The gym is always clean. Love the layout, although it is open, the way its laid out still makes you feel like you are seperate and have your own space. I also love the movie theatre! Thanks Chuze! Please consider north tucson on the west side near silverbell and cortaro!

It's a good gym you can't really fault it for much. It's lacking barbell benches and it's a fairly cramped gym but it gets the job done. Just go either really early or really late at night because it gets packed otherwise.

I love this place it's a great place to burn some calories. I have a suggestion for Chuze fitness you guys should probably open up another South Tucson location because this place is packed everytime I go in.other than that everything is smooth.

On new/different equipment n weights.packed during peak hours but typical at any gym. Best u can get for your money!

The men’s locker room, is the filthiest locker room floor I have ever seen!
I have belonged to many clubs in the past, but have never seen such a dirty, filthy, disgusting floor!
I have been to clubs throughout the country, and and this is the filthiest tile floor I have ever seen!
There is no oversight on the cleaning, and we cannot believe management is oblivious to it! You can plainly see that it never gets mopped! Will be changing clubs, along with others when commitment ends.

Very friendly staff, always sure to greet and goodbye. Very clean, not one thing I’d complain about at all.

Very nice staff. Clean for the most part. Those who hold premium memberships like to allow all their friends into the steam and sauna rooms.overcrowding everything.

Fun work out cheap staff is most of the time on the ball. Can't complain I guess you get what you pay.

This is a great place the only thing wrong with it is the music's too loud. The machines are great especially the sauna and a steam room.

I drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to this chuze location. It is always very clean. I also like that it has a movie theater, and infrared sauna + steam room (if you have the $20 membership)

By far the most important part of a gym is hospitality and they have mastered that by far and they are always eager to help

The only problem with this location is that is a small building, too many ppl, most of the time i have to park at the bank.and to do some of the classes you need to be there 40 mins before to get a spot.a lot of the ppl who take the class before the one you want, they take a spot first.

Very friendly staff great place to work out I highly recommend this gym and I tell all my friends about it
