Lee sexton - Mendoza I can count on. It’s after 7: 30pm and he returns my calls after hours and has my back.
I’ve had at least 3 different dealings with him while I’m trying to sell my house and he’s friendly knowledgeable and goes above and beyond.

I have been a resident at the Mark Condominiums for several years and have found our current staff from FirstService Residential to be the best. They are always cheerful and positive, and work hard to make sure the residents are well cared for. They listen to our concerns and are very responsive to our requests. The building and grounds are always well maintained. Our residents and guests are treated with the utmost courtesy. They have always gone above and beyond what is expected. I am very happy to have them managing our residence.

In my experience living in HOA communities and even sitting on the board that First Services is a class act. They are a larger HOA company with the proper amount of resources and expertise to manage any size community. They also operate like a small company in the sense of having assigned resources for your neighborhood. If you're looking for an HOA company give them a call. You won't be disappointed!

When I went on the board for the HOA at my condo, I wanted to learn more about the responsibilities of a board member and a greater knowledge regarding issues that are part of a high-rise condo. First Service Residential frequently sent invitations to our HOA board for educational meetings. I tried to take advantage of as many of these meetings as I could. I need to note that FSR was NOT our management company. Even though they did not manage my condo, FSR answered my extensive questions and, over a couple of years, I came to appreciate their knowledge and expertise. For example, they provided current information regarding building maintenance, board responsibilities and legal issues facing HOA’s. Recently, the board at my condo decided to see “what else is out there” in terms of a management company. FSR was one of the companies that my board selected to interview. FSR made a presentation that demonstrated their philosophy for managing a condo, the type of personnel they recommended and their expectations of employees and, because of the size of the company, their “deep bench” for handling maintenance issues and providing additional support and resources. Our board unanimously selected FSR. Because of FSR’s professionalism and expertise, we had an almost hassle-free transition from our previous management company. Our residents have been very complimentary both of this process and with how FSR facilitates Zoom board meetings. FSR did not inherit a problem free building. We have both maintenance issues and personnel issues that FSR has taken the lead in solving. I am extremely pleased that we have First Service Residential as our property manager.

WARNING ️ Watch out for these guys, they are shady to say the least, I know from my experience with them! If there was an option to give no stars or more of a warning that would be my choice. This is the most corrupt horribly managed organization I’ve ever encountered and what the homeowners/HOA in my community are currently dealing with is unbelievable, disgusting, and infuriating. The Scottsdale office ignores laws, are horrible to work with, their rude, and shady! If you are currently working with or thinking about onboarding First Service, I highly recommend connecting with your HOA board members immediately and ask to investigate where your money is being spent. Ignoring my advice would be a huge mistake and you would be ultimately lighting your money on fire!

Worst service, practically impossible to contact my community manager. I am being charged many un supported "late fees" due to a bad automated payment service.

I wouldn’t even give this business one star, but to leave a review, a one star must be given. This HOA Company is a scam. I can’t wait until my neighborhood lets this one go. Not only have I had multiple issues with Ellen, so have many of my neighbors. What does she do all day? What are my fees actually being used for? This company should be avoided at all costs.

I’ve never seen such incompetent people in my entire life. I own, and have owned, dozens of multiple family properties, lived in various communities with management companies, but I’ve never dealt with people as awful as the ones at FirstService Residential. Extremely unresponsive, do not provide full answers to questions, and downright lie about facts they’ve obtained. I cannot wait to get out from their management company! So many better options in the Scottsdale area. They should update their name to something more appropriate – Worst Service Residential.

Don’t even bother calling their customer service line. Absolute worst experience I have ever had. They never take responsibility and make you jump through so many hoops due to their mistake. For future home buying I will make sure that they are not my HOA.

This is the WORST HOA management company. They don't even have a phone number for the community manager. AVOID communities managed by them, and HOA Boards, why are you using this company? There are WAY better companies out there, do your due diligence and AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I came here to find out if our property was the only one so poorly run by this company and to my surprise they just seem to suck all around. I’ve lived in Papago park village for over 3years and we’ve have 3 or 4 property managers. They have an extremely fast and high turnover. I have to send a minimum of 5 emails to get anything accomplished and then they seem surprised when we show up to meetings complaining about how poorly run our property is. I will be asking the board to look for a new company to manage us at the next board meeting.

This company is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. They would have to be number one. With Global Water Resources and Electrical District #3 tied for second. That is really saying something. Because I would want to to force these companies on Donald Trump or Nancy Pelosi.

I was an independent contractor doing minutes for FSR. Was paid timely except for November 2018. Still haven’t gotten paid and can’t get the manager to even acknowledge me at this point. I keep getting letters in the mail and emails about paying to be a vendor! NOT HAPPENING. JUST PAY THE MONEY YOU OWE!

AVOID ALL COMMUNITIES SERVICED BY FIRSTSERVICE.

In the past month alone, it's become obvious that FirstService is more focused on their bottom line than helping those who pay them direct. For example, their landscaping hires damaged a water spout at my apartment. Instead of informing anyone, they ran off, leading me to having to turn off my water until emergency plumbing came. After two days with a hole in my bedroom wall due to the repair, FirstService and my LL finally agreed to a solution.

Weeks later, the gate was broken for the millionth time - at least 5 days this time. Yesterday, my car was broken into and damaged beyond repair. When I called to speak to our property manager Rick, I was assured he would call me back within the hour. I called again and left a voice message. I still have no response for Rick. I'm not looking for any compensation - I'm looking to be heard. Shame on you Rick and FirstService Residential. If this deters one person from working with you, I'll consider this worth my time.

They are an absolutely terrible management company. Their automated system constantly stops working, you get no notification and late fees are tacked on. Then to come to my surprise a law firm (Maxwell and Morgan) is contacting me with additional fees.equaling over $3K.decide for yourself, but I think there are enough of reviews here to help you make your decision.

First Residential is a joke they managed are property for years and so glad we never have to deal with them again. They never answer calls never do what the board advices them and never take responsibility for there own actions. Do yourself a favor and dont even consider them as someone you want to run your property

As every other person stated, this company is full of employees that mislead homeowners, and give out the wrong information, leaving community members penalized for their incompetence. I moved into my community October 2018, and was told that I had a credit from the prior owners. I received a bill for the quarterly dues, and called in inquiring about the monthly HOA fees. She said I was up-to-date from the credit, and I would receive further instructions in the mail when I needed to pay my monthly dues. I asked if I could pay ahead since it was around the holidays, and she said that can mess up the billing cycle and told me to hold off. Come April 2019, I get a letter in the mail from their pre-legal department saying they are going to put a lien on my house if I do not pay my dues. Well how was I supposed to pay when I am a new member to the community and NEVER obtained any instructions on how to pay/grace periods/etc and on top of that told I was in the clear. The agonizing part is, the lien notice said they had sent out 10 prior warnings, which I’m sure they’re sitting on someone’s desk because I can assure you I never got one until 90 days had passed by. SO DISORGANIZED. Want to know what’s even more infuriating than that? I WAS IN CONTACT WITH MY COMMUNITY MANAGER! Isn’t her job to be like “hey I see you are paying your quarterly dues, but you have a past due balance on your monthly dues”? ! I received a paint violation in Feb 2019. I did my due diligence and called as soon as I got the notice to obtain the paint scheme for my building. The customer care did not know how to get me the information and instructed me to contact shaylyn Reynolds. I did. She NEVER mentioned a single thing. I have done EVERY POSSIBLE THING THIS COMPANY HAS ASKED ME TO DO! I get another violation notice for a lock that is on a water spout. It’s NOT even attached to my unit. What a waste of my time to take pictures, and email the community manager when it is not even on my property. They are so careless they don’t even know which unit is which. That’s how money hungry they are.
So come April 18th, 2019 I want the fees reversed and they say I have to pay in full before they consider. So I did. I paid $482.40 which is what the 3 customer care agents said I needed to pay to be cleared. Their recorded line said I needed to pay $482.40, and the ClickPay agent said I needed to pay $482.40 and I get a $15 fee to pay because it processed after the 15th. I called on the 18th of April and paid the same day so that fee would have shown since it was after the 15th anyways. Again, another mistake on their behalf that I’m penalized for. They scam people out of their hard-earned money and are probably laughing at all of us because there’s not a single thing we can do. You cannot tell me that they couldn’t have reached out to me via phone number, email, or certified mail.
Thanks First Service Residential for making it hard to put food on the table for my one year old son because you mislead community members. They have tact on over $140 in fees and I have to wait until May 20 to see if they will refund me, which at this point I doubt they will even though I have more than enough proof that it was negligence on their behalf.

BEWARE PROPERTY INVESTORS, HOA ASSOCIATIONS, & RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITIES! The numerous and ongoing negative home owner reviews regarding FSR including incompetent and unprofessional property management is a strong and consistent indicator to avoid entering into a business relationship with this subpar company. In addition to FSR's long term history and continuing pattern of substandard property management services, the company has poorly trained employees, a high turn over of staff, and egregious customer service!

FirstService Residential is the most inept organization I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. What a shame.because I love my condo and community, but the community managers are SO INCOMPETENT! They don't return phone calls, don't understand their own CC&R's, and GOOD LUCK getting them to assume responsibility for any necessary repairs. If this review discourages even one person from renting or buying in a FirstService Residential managed community, my job here is done. AVOID. AT. ALL. COSTS!
