Our Service Technician (David) was very thorough with his work, checking the HVAC system, including the operation of our thermostat and assuring that our vents were working properly. He took time to adjust the vents to provide the most efficient operation for the rooms located at the end of the ductwork. At the end he reviewed the operation of both the AC and the furnace. David also explained the the AC breaker box should have a surge protector - We agreed and he installed one before leaving.

I have used Goettl in the past and had no issues. However after scheduling them to come out for a leak this time, I would never use them again. Scheduled 3 times, and we did not change anything. They just never showed up. My apologies, they showed up once at 5: 30pm when they were scheduled to show up between noon and 2pm. The following 2 times they did not show up as scheduled. They did show up on a day they were not scheduled but since it wasn't scheduled, no one was home.

Goettl tech left me in a lurch, stole my flashlight and creepily invited me to call him in the middle of the night.

A month ago I scheduled routine rooter cleaning for my kitchen. I used the $80 coupon I received in the mail.

When the tech arrived he handed me a stuffed toy dog and a flashlight as a gift. He told me he was scheduled to do a home inspection that cost $129, not the rooter service. Confused, I listened while he hard sold me on signing up for annual memberships.all the while never asking about my problem for which I scheduled the service.

When I told him I just wanted my kitchen drain rootered, he then tried to get me to sign a $27,000 contract to replace all my pipes.

Whats more after the rooter I had a leak in the pipe beneath my sink, and despite being 1pm in the afternoon, he said he was going to charge me more than $500 to fix it (despite saying it would take him less than an hour and a half to do). When I asked what the breakdown of the cost was he told me he was charging me extra because it was not part of his scheduled event.

Of course I said no. I called Plumb Plumbing who arrived two hours later and fixed the leak at 1/3 the cost Goettl.

I was left in a lurch and to boot, as I showed him the door he took the flashlight he had just given me, while telling me to call him in the middle of the night on his cell phone if I needed anything done.

Goettl is not worth the coupon.

Our service tech Elias was friendly, professional and thorough. I feel confident that the job was performed correctly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Goettl to neighbors and friends and I certainly will use them again in the future.
Women often are ignored when service is explained. Elias looked directly at me while he spoke. It is so wonderful to see that, especially in a young man. Thank you Elias.

John G's first week on the job and he did an excellent multi-system check on my air-conditioner and attic blower today. Mine was a preventative clean and check but I feel much better knowing I am good to go.
John also talked to me about hard start system that could save years on my unit for a small investment.

Tried to make an appointment for an estimate on a new system and they literally wanted me to commit to the price range snd the replacement date before they would even set the appointment don't bother calling.

No. No, no no no no no!
-trust an HVAC engineer's perspective.

These Goettl folks wanted to charge me $335 to swap a schrader valve ($5 part, 15min swap) plus refrigerant - yes, PLUS refrigerant. Honestly thought the tech was pulling my leg. In addition, he kept pushing me to sign me up for a RIDICULOUSLY expensive annual protection plan for my ~14 YR-OLD A/C! The unit is nearly done-for, just needed it to get us thru Summer as we're replacing it this Spring. Took me for a complete moron I suppose.keep reading, gets better.

So. I paid them their $78 evaluation fee (there was no evaluation) in return for a non-functioning, plastic flashlight - Goettl, please be more environmentally conscious & stop wasting plastic.

While the Goettl dude was packing up, I called D&H Air Conditioning who showed up an hour later and only charged me $98 to swap the valve. $98. NINETY-EIGHT-U. S. -DOLLARS! Oh, they even waived their evaluation fee because they felt so bad about my experience with the hard-to-spell folks. SPOILER ALERT: D&H won my business for my A/C replacement in Spring. I guess you could say this was a good test. But I'm still sad about spending $78 on a garbage flashlight.

Nutshell. Goettl seems to advertise an “honest, ” “friendly, ” & “family” approach to business so I totally gave them a shot. It was immediately evident they take full advantage of people who wouldn’t know any better. Fortunately, Tucson has OTHER amazing local businesses who are fully aware they can benefit from honesty. I suggest Goettl up their game. Or at least pull their commercials off the radio.

Goettl HVAC is the best, most reliable service company. My technician was Daniel, he had a very positive attitude, and after finding that my annual rejuvenation didn't find any problems, had great ideas to help keep my older unit running smoothly for a long time. I recommend Goettl to anyone needing HVAC service.

The tech Daniel was outstanding.
Was able to understand all of the things carried out and everything was done in professional manner. Trust these folks they have top noctch service and professional techs like Daniel.

I called Goettl AC because on there website they had duct cleaning. So the man over the phone takes down my info, quote me $99 for the service and at the very end ask if I happen to have a home warranty. My response is yes. He promptly state oh I'm sorry we don't deal with customers that have a home warranty. Really? If this is their policy that should have been the first question out of his mouth so he could not waste my time. I was calling on my own willing to pay and he just dismissed me. Anyone with a home warranty would know you call your HW for service which they then set you up with a company. I thought this was horrible customer service.

We are very disappointed with our service from Goettl Air Conditioning. We called on Saturday morning for an AC unit that wasn't working and got an appointment for Monday. The tech came out and said we had a broken motor. Thankfully it was still under warranty so all we had to pay was labor. Then, we were told the total would be $1,200! I asked if that was normal for a few hours labor and was told yes, that covers the labor and a guarantee and other places would be the same. (Oh and I didn't get a flashlight) Thankfully we decided to check out another place to get a second quote. The very next place we called said $275 to fix it.

Dont't waste your time with other companies! Go w/Goettl!

After 3 days of messing around with other AC repair/installation companies, I called Goettl at 7 am this morning. From the 1st customer service rep I spoke with to the sweet KNOWLEDGEABLE young man Tyler who came to our home 2.5 hours later, the level of professional service, was 5 star.

Though a very costly visit from Tyler, he never tried to sell us something above what we needed. He was personable, honest and, he really tried to find a team, for new installation today. (Installation is tomorrow morning)

Great customer service from the people I spoke to on the phone to the technician. The technician was professional, thorough and understanding. It was a bit pricey but worth it

Completely disappointed that they would not even come to give an estimate for a brand new A/C unit! When I asked to speak someone in sales or customer service they were just automated in repeating the same thing. I was really hoping there were going to be a reputable company to work with. Very discouraging. There's no way to get to the owner or a manager that I'm sure would be disappointed to hear this or maybe this is just how the company works. I'd rather support a company that cares about their customers.

The Goettl representative advised there were leaks in the coils and said we needed to purchase a new unit. When I asked how much that would cost, he said between $10,000 and $20,000. I was confused, and asked why such the range and he was quite vague and said there were different options. I let him know my bf had just replaced his unit for $4200 and he shrugged. I asked whether Goettl had their own brand of unit or why it was more than double the cost of the bf's unit -essentially, what made it better to warrant the cost. He said Goettl is a big company and that was his only justification. He told me if we ordered it that day, we could finance it for 10 years, and he could install it Monday. If we didn't order it that day, he wouldn't be able to install if Monday, but didn't say what he could do.

I asked he show me the photos of what was wrong with the unit. He pointed at the photos and said there was a leak. I asked where, he wasn't able to say where and I'm not sure if he didn't know how to address my questions, was refusing to address my questions or didn't know the answers, but his response did not instill confidence. I felt he was being evasive.

He charged me $79 and had me sign paperwork. When I review it, the paperwork said I had received a flashlight, which I had not. I would not recommend using this company. Their ads boast they care about people, but that was not the impression I got.

Very professional. They are very transparent about their findings and are never trying to sell you anything. The tech went above and beyond to get out AC running.

Friendly, fast and thorough. Very impressed that they take pictures and explain in detail what was found and not found. The tech was very knowledgeable.
