I have made over 20 phone calls and my sons meds still haven't been filled. Really! Do they not know what happens when a client is off their meds! I have been calling for weeks!

I wasn’t going to leave a review but after seeing all the bad ones, I see it’s needed. This facility like so many others is under funded. That doesn’t mean though that you can’t receive help here. I would have never been able to handle my mental health, and get through my PTSD without them. If you are trying to get meds here though, you might be disappointed with your results. Because they deal with so many addicts (I am one myself) it will be hard to receive medication if it is a scheduled narcotic. If you are just trying to get your meds, you might need to go elsewhere. But if you are going through a mental health episode (like I was) I highly recommend it. I felt listened to and respected by everyone there. I am 5 years sober, with out a ptsd episode in years all thanks to their services. If you need help, please please please contact them. They definitely can help put you on the path to recovery. It should be stated though, they will only give you the tools to succeed. The rest is on us.

La Frontera owns real estate as well. They own Rally Point Apartments where I rent. La Frontera used my identity to rent an apartment in my name to somebody else. It appeared on my credit report July 2019. La frontera is using my health insurance to receive compensation for fraudulent insurance claims.la frontera appears to be defrauding the government on federal housing benefits.

When you need and ask for what is required from these establishments and not only to have to get to the place (R. A. PP) all the way on ajo and park. To have to then go from there all the way to miracle mile on the bus but dispite the circumstances to even go through once you get there. It rwally sad to see the help go down the drain. And if it is there its for selective pickings of the staffs inpaticular choosings. Thats why no1 is coming on day program angmore. Its not worth it. Then to get banned bcuzz you forgot or wasnt told you had a chore to do?, or if you sign up for the sonora and a change of plans happen with work or something. You get banned bcuzz you dont or cant make it even though you went to r.a. Pp.and then getting banned without your knowledge so seeing going people that can go and old people getting turned away from the truth.

This is more of a question for other reviewers. I gave it 5 stars based in the nice receptionist who was very courteous and empathetic over the phone when I explained my situation to her. I moved here from los angeles 6 months ago. I have been on xanax for 7 years now and have had absolutely NO problems at all getting this prescription from any of the doctors I have had there due to my severe panic attacks. However, I recently have gotten on access insurance here and I was sent over to one doctor at this facility on Broadway and Rosemont and she was a complete and utter nightmare. I explained to her the medications I have been taking for my anxiety and depression and not only was she insulting to me, condescending and wouldnt let me finish a sentence, she told me there was absolutely NO WAY she was going to give me my prescription for xanax even though I told her I have tried every other anti anxiety medication in the past and they didnt work for me and she even went so far as to call me an addict when I have never ever been addicted to any kind of medication or taken any substances in my life. This was after 5 minutes of talking to me My question is are the psychiatrists here empathetic towards their patients who have these conditions or will I be wasting my time going over here trying to get back on me since being diagnosed? I walked out of the other place in tears from this womans lack of compassion and her inaults. She even told me that nobody prescribes xanax in the state of arizona which is completely ridiculous if there is any truth to this

POOR RESPONSE TIME.

Like many of the other reviews of La Fonterra I agree the response time and customer service is lacking. The first appointment for my son was an intake appointment with a non-professional. This took about 2.5 hours. We were told we would be called with a follow up appointment within the next week. No response after a week so my son called. Finally some one called him back. Next appointment with another intake person not a counselor. My son drove and got lost called and let them know by leaving a message. We called every day for over a week and no response. My son was told they have over 100 clients per intake person. If I had know this I would have never gone there. I would not recommend this facility.

Been to la fonterra in Phoenix for in take 30 minutes tops to get seen been sitting at this one for 2+ hrs still waiting to be seen for intake for my children who are now crying that they are hungry. Ridiculous. Was told I can reschedule but it would be just as bad of a wait

Heard this place UNDER PAYS THEIR STAFF.it’s obvious, their therapists and case managers reflect their pay. If you want quality service go to elsewhere.

La frontera is a very helpful place I can't believe how many complaints I'm seeing on here every single time I go here three times a week, their very helpful and everyone is called on pretty fast including me. The staff is very good at what they do they've helped me and my husband out ALOT I wouldn't know what I'd do without them.

The caseworkers are the worse, last one was Micheal J Jeffery. He actually went as far as switching me to someone else, second time around. I couldn't find these guy in the building! Rectiption gave me wrong number because he was moved and not keeping information updated! Before that was problems with him fighting against me to help correct a medication issue, went in and I was correct doctor straighting it all out.
Remember call and report them for the incorrect behavior you see, caseworker taken longer launches, not returning emails or calls!

Please stay away from this place. I went in to get treated for anxiety, but it wasn't worth it. Not only was the staff unprofessional, but a lot of the clients are scary. My first time sitting in their waiting room, one of their clients (a man in his 40's) starts sh**ing himself in front of everyone, then starts wiping his feces on the chair. The two ladies at the front desk don't seem to care, then a male employee walks out and starts laughing. It took at least fifteen minutes before they send someone out to clean the mess and take care of the situation. My second appointment was almost as bad (and took 3 weeks for them to get back to me to schedule). There was a couple next to me, probably on drugs, having an argument. They were being very loud and the guy was threatening the girl, and bragged about stabbing his friend. He starts yelling and harassed some random guy who just walked in. I felt very unsafe. When I got called back to see the doctor, he was very dismissive, would roll his eyes, and tried putting me on more drugs even though I wanted to take a more natural route with a therapist. Needless to say, I won't be going back there. I wouldn't recommend bringing any loved ones there either.

Update: as of April 2018, La Frontera has really improved. They became more attentive and answered messages in a timely manner. Also, the receptions are always patient and friendly.

Worse than COPE. Can never get hold of my daughter's case manager or the intake department for that matter. Horrible customer service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I called them asking for help and telling them that I really needed counseling. This happened a few days ago and the recording said within that day or the next, and several days have gone by now. Haven’t heard from them. I guess they don’t want to help a person out unless one has a lot of money to give. Counseling shouldn’t be about making money, the value should come from those, one has helped.

Yes la frontera is an imperfect system. There are some issues however understanding is needed. There is a heavy caseload there. If you need help you have to assert yourself and communicate. There is no perfect system anywhere. My one complaint is front desk, they are quick to transfer to a machine than help with any issues. They are not able to address issues due to overwhelming clientelle. I find if you need immediate help, you have to go in yourself. Or call the hotline.

You literally wait and wait just for the receptionist to assist you. I have had the worst response time waiting for my child's medications to be prescribed. The pharmacy sends requests after request with no response. My child will go days without meds because of this. Getting an appointment scheduled with his med doctor for him is like trying to meet with the POTUS. Very aggrivating.

La Frontera (W Grant Rd and W 29th St) has been a good resource for our family for two and a half years. We have a wonderful family therapist and a good case manager who are truly interested in the welfare of our family and advocate for us at school, in their offices, and in our homes.

Save yourself the trouble and don't even think about being in this system. Go somewhere else. La Frontera happily will screw you over, cancel countless appointments, never give you the proper care, everything!
