Macayo's Mexican Table reviews
43 Super good. Can't wait to have our event there!
Update:
We have now had 2 events here! It's my favorite! So easy, the staff is amazing.
Cinco de Mayo was out on the water and tonight was in the bar!
The staff does everything and checks in on the regular.
It really is one of the easiest events I host!
Thank you ladies!
The food was excellent, however the waiter we had was extremely rude, unhelpful, and not interested in helping us. I've eaten at Macayo's for 7 years and I have always had excellent food and service. I was extremely disappointed
I was with a party of seven close friends and family. I generally had a good time the food was good and we were all surprised how quickly the food came out. However towards the end our server didn't appear too much and I felt disappointed because I did want a second refill however none was offered. The customer service otherwise was alright nothing to write home about but nothing displeasing. The prices were fair for the food quality. Overall a good experience yet I would recommend some more proactive waiters and some more talking with customers.
My husband and I went for happy hour- and they took forever with his drinks and looked very annoyed that he ordered a second one only half way through our food, my husband went to eat his food and the silverware didn't even looked washed so he asked for a new one and she looked at him annoyed, and happy hour is a joke you can go to other restaurants and happy hour is a discount here no you have to order certain drinks and the waitress doesn't tell you this, food was okay would have been better if they gave you more time to eat instead of trying to empty a table
It was packed not that it's a bad thing, Service was fast and I didn't eat my salad but it was great later that night.
Made an appt that my family was on time for but still ended up waiting nearly 10 min for a table. But the great service made up for it and the food was very good as well.
Best service the food is most awesome. Used to live here and when I did it was the only Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Great atmosphere and the employees here treat you great!
Great place for lunch or dinner with family or friend's. Good food selection at a very fair price. Staff is friendly offering great customer service. Will make sure on my next trip to this area to stop by again for a good meal.
The food was great. The only problem was they took a bit to long with it but i guess because they were packed that day
Service was great but the food was.just ok.it's more like American Mexican food. Nice place by the lake.but sorry. I probably wouldn't go back.
Keep up the good work!
We haven't been in a while and we really enjoyed our return visit. Craig the new bartender upstairs was really great he hit all the marks and made all the points and really impressed us. We can't wait to come back. And we enjoyed the food.
I've always liked Macayo's. Then they closed the one downtown and turned into Woody's Macayo's. I went there once and didn't care for it. Which brought me back to this east valley location. The food was good, i got the chicken fajitas. But, the margarita was just eh. I ordered the cucumber margarita which, to me, would have like muddled cucumber. Instead, this tasted like the standard fare with a cucumber floating on the top.
Excellent food. Last nights service was exceptional! We ordered appetizer and it was delivered before we decided what to eat for dinner. Portions are large. Nice patio on lake.
A very nice setup! Upstairs, dowstairs, a lakeside patio! This kitchen puts out qiuck delicious food! Enjoyed it very much!
The spicy cilantro and cucumber Margarita was amazing and I don't like margaritas or tequila. I literally had two of them and they went down easy. Not to mention the food the food was great (im a food fatty) especially the tamale poppers
Poor service. Margarita was served on the rocks with no salt, asked frozen with salt. Vegan burro had sour cream, requested no sour cream. Remembered why I hadn't been back for three years.
For the first time, I sat at the bar and had a beer when I ordered take out. Female, alone, I felt awkward. I felt like I was inconveniencing the bartender, but he actually spontaneously apologized for not providing better service from the get go. I really respect someone who can admit error and it completely changed my opinion. From then on I felt welcome and if I forget to place a preorder again, I'd be willing to head back up to the bar to wait.
The food was delicious and service was quick and respectful. We visited during lunch today and I ordered a shredded beef Chimi. Barely made a dent and I was ready to explode, the best kind of Mexican food. My family loves coming here for the views and the Chimichangas
OUR new Macayos! When the original Woody's Macayos moved south on Central and modernized we went in search of a Macayo's that felt like Macayo's. This is it. Our server Kyle is wonderful and the manager Brian is willing to accommodate our silly old school requests. Worth the drive. Thanks guys.
Macayos used to be the spot.not anymore. Our service was good, except that our food had clearly sat under the warmer. The food just plain sucked. It's sad to see a once great place go downhill so much.
