Macayo's Mexican Table reviews
43DELICIOUS! This place does not disappoint! Everything was mouth watering! Their cheese crisp with salsa is sooooo good! I've been eating their hand dipped Chile Rellenos since I was a kid and they have not changed one bit! Still the best thing on the menu as well as their Mexican rice is to die for!
We stopped over at this restaurant for food. The service was bad and they messed up our order. When we mentioned it the waitress was really rude and told us they would charge more: only to get back and told us that our actual order did not cost more. Then the manager who also was serving carried the tray back over the other guests heads and they had to duck to avoid getting hit. I don’t think I am going back there again. The food was okay.
(Actually 4.5 *'s) Good food, good drinks. Definitely recommend. Sat upstairs near bar so didn't have to wait 45 minutes for dining room. Good service and waitress head good suggestions. Excellent Margarita's!
Food was fine, no issues with taste or quality. Love the salsa as well. The problem with this visit was the service. Our waitress was more interested in the weather (monsoon going on) than bringing food OR drinks in a reasonable level amount of time. Then we waited for an extra 25 minutes after we had finished eating before we ever saw her again to bring the bill. The food is the only thing that brings me back, but the service has been terrible since the "change in management" a few years back.
I really enjoy the menu, prices, and service at this restaurant. They have a nice atmosphere as well with outdoor seating available overlooking the waterway. They also have a full bar which doesn't hurt.
The food is a very good, I have been eating and drinking at Macayo's for more than 30 years and it is always good.
Had my wives' birthday at the Dobson & Baseline location, the staff were incredibly accommodating, courteous, and over all amazing. I have been going to Macayos for a lot of years and this was by far the visit bar-none! Do not ever question a trip to this establishment. I would give it infinite stars if given the choice.
Nobody makes a chimichanga like they do. The macaw inspired color scheme is gone (it should come back) but the food is still great.
I love Macayos. Everytime I go I dont even look at the menu, I just get the 2 green corn tamales with Baja sauce, calabasitas and a cup of chicken tortilla soup! So good!
No stars, worst ever, my husband and I frequent Macayo's however this was the worst visit ever. The waiter was harsh, my green chili pork had 2 large pieces of fat. The chili was very salty, one bite was all it took. I left the food there and took only the meat on my husband's plate. Beans were dry. We will not be going back. Had to give them one star to be able to post
I love the queso dip- I would go here just for that! Honestly, their entrees are a bit spendy for what they are. For example, $13 for a chimichanga.
Service was great, chips and salsa were best I've had in a while, and the green corn tamale was delicious!
Food is always good and the staff is as well. Sometimes you don't get the best server in the bar area.
The food was good not great the staff was friendly, but for a typical neighborhood Mexican restaurant that's not good if bankrupt you this is a good choice.
I just went here for the first time, and it was great. The chips and salsa was really good. Great ambience.
The upstairs was loud, the music we played on the jukebox was very soft. The soda was flat, food was average
This is one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants. The rating is based on the service, not the food.
I used to love Macayo's but I'm not sure what happened to their food. I just haven't enjoyed anything I've eaten there for some time.
Well, first off this was one of our old favorite places to go. Now after a 2 year absence it is now a major disappointment. Service was turtle slow and the soda was flat. Even the water tasted bad. We finally left after waiting for an appetizer à that took forever and not getting to even place an order.
I weep for what once was. Went for anniversary and menu was striped bare decor was "modernized" and food was tasteless.so sad
