The Chuckbox is a fantastic place to go and get a quick burger & fry meal. This place has been around for decades.
Plan on there being a line because this place is super popular.
They cook the burgers right in front of you over an open flame & the guy named Juan is still employed there after 20 years.

This place has been great for years. It is a craving that can only be satisfied by going to The Chuckbox. No substitutions.

We love this place place we go out of our way to eat here the burgers are great and the place is always clean.

This place is delicious! You walk in and order somewhat lunch line style. You can sit inside but the seating is limited. No matter what, it's delicious and you should definitely try it!

Filthy & overpriced with bugs & flys, we had to stand smashed in line watching our food cook, we paid $32.for 2 cheese burgers (on cheap bread), 2 onion rings, 1 soda and fry. Then we had to put our own toppings on and after that it was just plain burger & fries. We sat on hard dirty crates & tree stumps. Do yourself a favor & eat at a clean nearby Chilies or Red Robin were you can sit and order comfortably and be served in a better atmosphere by people who appreciate your business. I don't know why people frequent this dump with all the great nearby choices. This is the most over hyped dirty shack w very little parking & seating, I'm really baffled at the good reviews, if your a tourist do not waste your time & $ there is nothing to see here.

If you are ever in Tempe and want a hamburger that is out of this world, The Chuckbox is where you need to go. Unmatched quality, and a landmark in the valley. Businesses like this are still open post Covid because they stick to what they are good at, but don't take my word for it. Stop in and see for yourself! A+

I woke up this morning craving the best buger ever! It was a 5 hour drive from Las Vegas Nevada to Tempe Arizona, but it was well worth it! Only a Chuckbox burger can make me drive 5 hours. I'm just glad I dont live in New York City, or I'd be on a flight here to Tempe. BEST BURGER EVER! Long drive back, but well worth it.

Love this place! Would have gave it a 5 but they need to move the soda machine to a more convenient spot. Having to jump a chain and squeeze by people for refills is annoying.

It's a big grilled burger for a good price which is great but the service is non existent - bitter millennials that can't get a job after they wasted their time at ASU getting drunk instead of getting education. Just a guess but angery at best.

The burgers were fantastic, but the customer service was awful. Let me clarify, cashier Chris was rude and had an impatient tone throughout our entire visit. Made sure we understood that he didn't care that we had never been here before and after he asked what I was waiting for, and I said the other half of our order, he said he would bring us the sandwich. When it was done, he then waited a few minutes after the food was called to make sure we knew we weren't important, even though we tried to just go to the counter to save him the trip. Cooking and support staff were very kind and helpful.

Not exactly the best burger you will ever have but, it's a place you have to try when in Tempe due to the history.

Burgers, zucchini, an jalapeno poppers were great. No wonder this place remains popular. Bring your cash money.

Still one of the best tasting burgers you can just get real fire Mesquite Grill. Cooked in front of you. High heat searing. Simple bin good bacon man i can rave enough about how good of a deal chuck box is too. I often share a great big one with bacon with the g.f more then enough food.

I have eaten here a number of times. This is my favorite place to get a really good hearty hamburger. (Cash only) wait time could be awhile but worth the wait in my opinion.

Ive been eating at the Chuckbox since 1976. It grounds me to my college days and I come back everytime I come back to the Valley. An institution to old ASU days - thank goodness there is still a little of that to be found! Awesome burgers and o-rings!

Met Anne 44 years ago as we started our career at ASU. The ChuckBox was a special treat back then.and now, 44 years later, it brings back fond memories for us as we enjoyed a great hamburger.and French fries.

My favorite burger place! Burgers are always fresh and juicy and taste great! Zucchini and onion rings are yummy. Great service and nice quaint atmosphere.

Cash Only, you get to watch them make your burger and they have great Rootbeer on tap. Lunch for 2 less that 20 bucks. Great for students to walk to and have a great meal. Fun atmosphere and special offers on game days.
