One of the best beef burgers I've had. Tender and juicy beef Patty, DIY for the toppings. Great place.

Absolutely one of the best burgers in the whole wide world, hands down.they cook them to order in front of your face to your specification. They have a huge condiment bar however, none of it is necessary because the burgers are excellent by themselves.one of my all time favorite burger joints.

Fast service, amazing food, and wonderful prices, best place to get burgers done right! No credit card accepted though so bring cash beforehand!

I have been eating here since I was in HS. I used to also eat the location on Scottsdale & Shea before they closed it. This place is a landmark and I hope it doesn’t go away because it would be a shame. There aren’t very many places like this left here in town. Flame grill burgers and chicken sandwiches are the best. You can’t go wrong with “The Big One” w/ cheese and grilled green chilies!

As a side note, it's cash only! But there is an ATM inside that only charges a $2 fee.

The food here is great, and the price is right, I like the open fire they cook on, gives everything a good taste.

Historic building. Seems only the prices have changed on the menu. With lots of newer options for a homestyle hamburger and a cold beer, it's nice to return to the old original.

You CANNOT go to Tempe, or an Arizona State University Football Game without eating at the Chuckbox. Hadn't been there in years but it was still good down home, stick-to-your ribs food. Totally full and added delicious condiments.

This place is just plain delicious. I had their Tijuana Torpedo which was huge, juicy, and sweet from their grilled Hatch Chiles with some pretty good onion rings. Bit of a funky line system that has you stand waiting in front of a flaming grill which is very warm especially after just coming inside from the summer heat, and cash only, but it's all worth it once you get your burger!

You have to experience at least once - burgers are don't but great, beware the snarky service. It's party of the charm, I guess.

I've been here countless times. The food is good, and cooked on their wood fire with the sort of ingredients you would get from the grocery store. So it's pretty healthy too.
