Wagner Eyecare Associates reviews
24If I could give a negative star I would. I made a family appointment with this clinic and missed our appointment due to an emergency with our pet. I have continued to get delinquent notices as they charged us each $25, there are 4 of us, for missing our appointment. We were 1st time patients. I can't believe Dr. Wagner would want potential customers treated this way. I'm taking my family and business elsewhere!
I have been going to Dr. Wagner for 21 years and I absolutely love him! Dr. Wagner and the rest of the staff are very kind and knowledgeable. I refuse to go anywhere else!
I have been going to Dr Wagner for 25 years. He has always been very efficient in getting my prescription just right. Always a great staff. Would recommend anyone give him a try!
I hate writing bad reviews, but I want other people to know about our experience. Dr. Wagner was very nice and his exam was very thorough. The receptionist at the desk was very polite and welcoming. Things went bad when we tried to get our contact prescriptions. Despite wanting to renew the same prescription that I have worn and loved for years, I was encouraged to try a new brand of contacts. It was not clearly explained to me (or my husband who had the same experience) that we would have to schedule another appointment (which means more time off work) and return to the office to have the doctor see the new contacts. When we asked if we could just keep our old prescription, we were told "no". The staff won't write a prescription until we drive over there, pick up our old brand of contacts, wear them for a while, and return yet again for another exam. It's ridiculous!
I talked to the office manager today and he was quite rude. I was trying to politely express my displeasure and he got extremely frustrated with me and told me that he hoped I didn't return to the practice. I tried to explain that I've been wearing contacts for 20+ years and have never been asked to return to the office like this. He told me it was medical law and any office would require the same. I asked to speak with someone above him and he said the doctor could call me next week.
After we got off the phone, I called around to a few other eye doctors and asked their policy on contact prescriptions. All of them told me that I would not have to return if I wanted the same prescription and I was happy with my contacts. I will NEVER return to this eye doctor's office again. It's quite unfortunately because I liked the doctor but his policies and office manager ruined the experience and cost them business.
