24 Hour Fitness reviews
23This gym is amazing! The Staff is awesome and the hours work with any work schedule! I love the price of the premium membership. What you get with it is so worth it!
Always an easy and friendly place. Everything is clean and never have to wait long to use tanning or the beds!
It's a decent gym, as far as gyms goes. Lots of free weights, powerlifting stations, benches, etc. HOWEVER, there are too many bros NOT WEARING MASKS OR USING MASKS AS CHIN STRAPS. These young guys don't understand the danger they're posing onto others. The staff is lackadaisical and only enforces masks at the door but once people are in the gym, it's a bloodbath of people spitting and coughing without masks. I tried multiple appointment slots to try to avoid this - 6 am, 11 am, 5 pm, 8 pm - but this has been consistent across the board.
This is nice club and good location to visit but management has to Be improve, people just want into to steam bath or sauna with shoes and clothing, No Lap swimming pool, only WALKING POOL?
Why don’t they divided into walk time and lap time just like club did?
Great gym for me. Clean facility and their staffs were nice. Machines were working well and well-maintained.
Live at 4: 04 AM gym is not opening after changing hours to 4AM-12AM. Stay away from both San Mateo gyms. No more 24 hours
Generally a fine gym, quite dark but has a lot of amenities. The crowd was pretty unfriendly - granted, you'll always have a few of those.
They advertise a 3 day trial, which is not a 3 day trial at all. You pay for a membership and have the opportunity to cancel. I also had to wait on the phone for 15 minutes, when I was told in person that I could call / email in (not the case.)
I'm new to the area and a friend brought me in as a guest. They tried charging me $25 for the day. Usually when you want people to join you don't crack them over the head. What a joke
This has never been the cleanest or the most organized gym (some may call it dirty and stinky). But it worked. However, they are going to take away the towel service. I have been a member here for 8 years, this it it for me. I canceled my membership.
Update: Staff is still cool, trainers still think they own the gym, BUT now they’re going to cancel towel service. What’s the difference between this 24 and the regular sport in downtown now? $20 more a month, and newer equipment that somehow is still always broken? This super sport is a ripoff!
Needed to find a class to kill some time in the early AM. I lucked out with an AMAZING instructor for a 6AM cycle class. This location could use a better space for cycle classes to make it a more intimate and strong setting. Would go back only for that class!
You cannot play basketball if you dont have friends. Pre-made team always takes court. I am waiting 3 hours.
The staff here are very awesome guys and very experienced. They always motivates you to do your best. Great gym. Give it 5 stars.
The staff come off as disgruntled, disagreeable, unable to multi task, and aren't very attentive. The equipment is sprawled out across the gym, not put away, and the bathroom supplies go unreplenished. This gym is cheap but there are better gyms in the area.
Unfortunately not a good place to work out. Overcrowded, takes hours to find a parking spot and staff wants to upsell you all the time. Would not recommend to buy a membership here. There are cheaper and better options available.
Wednesday is the best day to be there. Nikki, and Angie’s classes are on point! But they start too late. Sauna is roasting hot, pool is nice and cold.
There is ~NO~ WIFI at this gym. I wonder why. Also the parking spaces, on the west side are extremely small. Unless you have a Toyota Prius or Honda FIT. Standard plain Jane style.
Place location is an easy walk from my place, while in San Mateo, and like the parking, most places in San Francisco don't have parking, and or you have to pay for it. Others don't supply towels, and no hot water in showers. This place is kept clean & organized. But could use more of different types of workout/exercise machines.
The best 24 Hour Fitness SuperSport in Southbay/ Peninsula. The pool and spa are sparkling clean. Steam room produces good about of steam. I have never seen swim suit water extractor broken
Staff is polite. Licker rooms are well taken care off.
This place is a joy to visit.
Mike, a front desk person is rude, yells, unhelpful and disrespectful. My thumb print didn’t work and instead of manually checking me in which everyone else does, he told me he couldn’t do it and started yelling that I’m not a mama we. He is most disrespectful
The worst 24 hour fitness in the ENTIRE WEST COAST REGION. I have been to countless 24s and this one has been the only one to cause me issues. Staff is very negligent and immature. You can see them laughing and gossiping about clients who are trying to get fit. Disgusting experience! Not to mention they do not go into detail regarding the terms of their contracts upon signing up, which will cause them a lot of backlash with clients. TERRIBLE LOCATION.
