Absinthe Brasserie & Bar reviews
33Very good food and drinks. There is plenty of non-absinthe cocktails for anyone tbat doesn't like absinthe too. The food was amazing. We got a pork so tender it fell apart when picking it up. Highly recommend for anyone wanting some bougie French-American style affair
Cute and cozy but always so busy. I'm very happy I was able to come here on a day when things were a bit slower. Really enjoyed the baked raclette and pretzels. Also was happy to drink a very good Austrian grüner Veltliner wine which coincidentally we had visited the Heurigen for the wine in Austria just a few weeks before.
Charming french brasserie in Hayes Valley. Best thing is the coq au vin. And if you don't order traditional absinthe as a digestif, you're doing it wrong
The hours allowed for a decent meal on our first day in San Francisco when not a lot seemed to be open.
I feel like this place has lost a bit of it's luster, especially at lunch. Menu is fairly standard. Cocktails are much more interesting than the wines.
Was so happy to stop in for brunch. Incredible service, and food is just as outstanding. Love the classic SF spots.
Loved this place.the vibe was spot on! The bartender knows the drinks and was an amazing spot to sit for a spell!
I was in town from Detroit visiting friends in San Francisco and they took me here to celebrate. I have to say that they chose wisely!
Everything about this place was excellent: the food, the drinks, the wait staff, everything.
Personally, I know I'll do my best to visit again whenever I'm in the city.
Highly recommended and thanks again!
Intimate French bistro setting with unusual cocktails, excellent french onion soup, and very fresh salad.
Wonderful imaginative menu and food. Even the drinks are fun. Great place to eat with friends to have a leisurely meal. Great location near many venues of entertainment and sites.
Classic San Francisco establishment but for the price there are a lot of other options in the area.
Went here for lunch. Staff, food, service were all great. On my list of places to eat in San Francisco.
Love, love, love this place! The servers are knowledgeable and attentive, and the food and cocktails are innovative and delicious!
