Apple Alley Bakery, Julian CA

Always a "must go" place when coming to Julian! Typically one of our last stops before heading back home. Delicious pies on display by slice or whole with additional pastries available. Very relaxing eating area in the alleyway and beautiful when the apple trees on the fence line are in bloom. Their lunch special is a great deal! Just be there before 3: 00pm as this is when they stop serving lunch.

We came here for pie and hot cafe moche. The pie was excellent and so was the hot cafe mocha. The girls were sweet and efficient. I left my cashmere beanie at the table. We called them and they shipped it to San Diego without charging me. Thank you Apple Alley. We will definitely return.

We love apple caramel pecan pie plus I got hot chocolate for my kids and yhey even asked if I wanted milk so it wouldnt be so hot for the kids.great service! We go twice a year

This place is Amazing. I drove all the way up there from El cajon to get my gluten-free pies. They have the best pies ever.

Came here because they are the only shop we could find that offered gluten free apple pie. Showed up at 1045 and it was not busy. They offer a great quality pie! We will return again, and we recommend to all.

Fantastic pies, wonderful service! When the lines at other locations are out the door, apple alley often has a shorter wait and IMO much better pies! They’ve also got some gluten free options and sandwiches! Personally obsessed with the apple pecan pie they make, topped with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream.

I came here at the recommendation of the woman who runs the jewelry repair inside the Warm Hearth. I ordered the chili pot pie and it was delicious! I definitely recommend it. They also have a nice selection of baked goods, including pies of course. It's a lovely hidden gem with a lovely atmosphere.

Absolutely great pies and sandwiches including gluten free bread and two kinds of gluten free pies!

Came here based on a local's recommendation instead of Julian Pie Company. Was not disappointed

Ive been making trips to this apple pie shop for more then 20 years! By far the best pies in Julian.

Only place to go if you are Gluten Free. I make a point to stop by. Whenever I'm in the area. Their pie with I've cream.yum!

Never in my life I have been charged for a plastic knife. They are. 20 cents each. If you plan to visit take your own utensils or have some spare cash prepare to buy them.

I loveee the pies here, and on my past visits never had an issue with nothing, it was perfect. In till today. One lady a Brunnet one, came from the back to help the cashier, and she was just rude and giving a lot of attitudes to many customers. I usually understand the overwhelming of dealing with extra crowds. But no one was mean or rude, everyone was patiently waiting for whatever pie was left. We all understood that we needed to settle for what was available. My point is that, no need for rude attitude while you are being polite. I didn't even order the amazing cinnamon icecream that I love. I just didn't wanted to add more to the attitude.

Amazing cherry apple crumble pie; filling-crust-crumble were all awesome. Coffee was ok. New Year's Eve day the place was very busy! Hit them up for yummy pie.

My wife hasn’t had pie in 3 years since developing a sensitive to gluten and milk proteins.
Also got a gluten free slice of apple boysenberry (pictured) and a slice of apple pecan Carmel (pictured)

Best lunch deal at julian.whenever we are in SanDiego we make it a point to have lunch here.the pies are out of this world.would recommend this place.the employees are friendly and helpful.

Delicious pies! The gluten free apple and apple berry crumb pies are both fantastic options for the gluten-sensitive types. It can get crowded at times, but just a testament to the delicious product.

You can get sugar free pie here. And also regular pie. If regular pie is too sweet for you, come here. Good selection of all things apple. Non alcoholic, fresh cider, too.

The pie was delicious and gluten free! Customer service left more to be desired. But it was slow and we had the place to ourselves at 10: 30 am.

Their sandwiches are delicious, and the pie is fantastic. Much better than waiting in the lines at Mom's.
