Apple Alley Bakery, Julian CA

Had the calzone, it was great! Quick service, cheap prices. Their pie was a bit mushy though. And I wasn't a fan of their crumb topping. The flavor was good but I didn't love the texture. It was good but not Julian good. That's only my opinion, I'm sure many people love their pie.

This business is in Julian, ca. The whole town is filled with bakeries that bake the best apple pies ever! You can alao purchase other types of pies.

My husband and I ate lunch here, great service, friendly employees and food tasted great, well worth the money.

The food was good, the pie was great, and service was out of this world! A "must stop" in a mountain town of must stops.

I lived in julian for 3 years and this is by far the best place for pie. Don't wait in the loooong line across the street. Do yourself a favor and get your pie (with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream) at Apple Alley bakery. They also have really yummy cookies and pastries if pie isn't your thing.

Went on Labor Day to this idealistic town. The mountain views on the drive up were beautiful. The Pecan apple pie with cinnamon ice cream was delicious! The line was long and it was hot, but once you tasted it, you knew why you waited for it. Ladies working were also tired and hot but still serving it up quickly.

Our trip was almost over and we hadn't had any apple pie yet! We heard this was one of the only places in Julian that used actual apples FROM JULIAN in their pies! So we just shared a piece of pie and it was very good. I enjoyed the ambience.

This place has been a staple for my family for 20 years. Their Dutch apple (apple crumb) is the best thing on the planet. A trip to Julian is not complete without a heavenly experience at Apple Alley.

And the owners are wonderful people!

Frequently has a long line, but that's because it's the best apple pie in Julian and the best anywhere. I have done side by side taste comparisons and I have often gone up to 60 miles out of my way solely to go to Apple Alley.

The service was great. The GF pie was way too sweet with a sand like crust. I've had better from Spouts. Very disappointing. My Husband on the other hand fell hard for his caramel pecan apple pie a-la-mode.

I feel like this place has just as good pies as Mom's Pies. Fun cozy place, gotta love the atmosphere.

Excellent pie, baked goods, ice cream, and everything lunch! VERY helpful staff with delightful demeanor. Would highly recommend to anyone coming into Julian. Try the many varieties of apple pie!

Nice quaint spot for a quick lunch. We ate outside in the back because we brought a service dog. Ordered the 1/2 sandwich & soup special which seemed to take a very long time to prepare (20+ minutes) despite not being crowded. Food was ok; nothing special. The hot mango apple pie with vanilla ice cream was a very welcome treat!
