A&S Motorcycles BMW Triumph Ducati reviews
32 A&S is the place to go in Sacramento for European motorcycles. They sell and maintain most major European manufacturers, most notably BMW, Ducati, and Triumph.
The staff is knowledgeable and there are several customer-friendly amenities such as coffee, helmet/jacket storage, and Uber credits when your bike is in the shop.
They have small to medium sized apparel/gear department with reasonable pricing. There are often discounts available if you purchase or service a bike with them.
They also organize some community events such as group rides which I am less familiar with.
Overall, if you want or have a European motorcycle and are in the Sacramento region, I’d recommend that A&S is the first place you check with.
I bought two tires on internet (J&P Cycles) and A&S installed them on my Harley Dyna ($250 out the door). Treated well by service department-my second time to have tires installed-I will be back.
Got the part, works good, looks good service was good, and for that beast, well done in a time manner and thanks for using mail service.
Love my bike. Excellent facility regarding purchases. Sales staff absolutely no pressure and don't over talk you. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the finance guy. Very rude and ignores when you say no.
A&S installed a drive belt ($625!) and it needed adjustment the next time that I was in the shop (<3mo, 1600mi later), but instead of just taking the 5min to adjust it, or even asking if I wanted to pay have it done while it is in, they informed me at the time of pick up that it needed adjustment when my bike is serviced next.are you assuming I will be back?
My head bearings had been significantly leaking throughout the warranty period of the bike. I mentioned it on more than one occasion and was told that this is normal and would not result in premature bearing wear.at the first service that they saw my bike following the expiration of my warranty, I was informed that my head bearings needed to be replaced. "These bearings are simply a common wear item. " undoubtedly true: when they have been leaking grease for 36k miles!
Overall, service there has been a hassle, constantly overpriced, and I wouldn't recommend doing business with them.or maybe it's just me, since we all know that the cheapest part on a BMW is the part riding it.
Last month I had the pleasure of purchasing a 2012 Kawasaki Concourse 14 from A&S Motorcycles. Upon driving into the lot, not only was I impressed with the size of the dealership, I was amazed with the wide selection of BMW, Triumph and Ducati motorcycles; serious stiffy material! As I was perusing the wide selection of used inventory, I met Harrison Cole, one of the salesman at the dealership. I advised Harrison I had seen a used Concours on their website via Cycle Trader and that due to my height (6'5) I had a hard time finding a bike that fit me. Although I made it very clear to Harrison I was only interested in purchasing a used bike, he was attentive and asked me questions as to the type of riding I would be doing, my riding experience, how far I would be riding, what features were important to me and in general, providing me great service while not pressuring me to purchase a new bike or closing the sale that day. After a few days of consideration, I called Harrison, scheduled a demo ride and upon my arrival I noticed the Concours had been pulled out front, ready for our morning jaunt. After taking the Concours for a ride I was hooked. I then sat down with Harrison, made an offer counter to the asking price, Harrison took the offer back to his boss and it was accepted, well below the Kelley Blue Book price. Satisfied customer!
Thank you Harrison and A&S for a pleasurable, no hassle motorcycle purchasing experience. You made me feel like a valued customer.
Regards
John
I had my R1200RT shipped from Nashville to A & S. Tim, the Service Manager, serviced my bike, and it was ready to ride, as promised. It was a good experience for me.
My 2010 GS developed a leak in the brake system that was hard to locate, but the tech persevered and replaced the defective part. It took a few days for the part, but all in all, the work was done in a timely manner.
I have an extended warranty, but this part was inexplicably excluded, so the bill was about $400. A&S felt that wasn't right, so they refunded the total amount! That's good customer service.
Customer service is really hit and miss with these guys. I have had really good service on a few occasions and other times I get skipped on the list and have waited up to 45 minutes. Not sure how to make it better, but the randomness of the quality is a bit frustrating. I really like the parts and sales departments, but the service department check-in needs some kinda make over.
If experience matters, then this is the dealership for you. Randy and Jeff run a great operation, the shop is incredibly clean, and the team know their stuff.
Some of the staff could use some hospitality training or making people feel welcome. Got the snobby vibe. Except Harrison cole. Professional, friendly, makes you feel like family and want to buy. Other sales guys standoffish pushy. Demo day is really geared towards making a sale. The vintage bike show is awesome
David Morton is simply a first class sales representative. Purchased my first BMW from David. Love the new K1600B.
