I have never lived in a place that I hated so much that I cannot wait to move out!

I have stayed in three other Avalon communities in the past in Bay Area, so I decided to go with them when I moved down to Irvine. This community is brand new, but has been managed and ran like if the owner is about to abandon it.

Security:
None. The garage door is ALWAYS broken and non-operational, so any one can just come in. Also, there are always some sort of delivery person that brings food for people from China that is trying to have a baby in the US. I NEVER seem a security guard patrolling the building.
The lights in the hallway went out and it has been over 3 months and no one from the maintenance came by to fix it. The best part is.the sales manager also lives on the same floor with the broken light bulb. Please don't tell me you didn't see it. But this just goes to show you the "care" the staffs have about the company/building they work for.

Cleanliness:
You will NOT believe the building is only 1 year old, the common area is filthy, the BBQ grill is never cleaned, the hallway is rarely sweep nor cleaned. Also for some strange reasons, this building tends to attract a very "specific" demographic of people, let's just say they are from a very un-American country and all of them have dogs? So you ended up with dogs pooping in the hallway or dog urine around the corners doorways. And to top this all off, the building management and maintenance is not doing anything about it. Called about dog poop, and no one come to clean it up for days.

Wild Wild West:
Don't get suckered into by the "smoke free facility" sign in the building nor the leasing office. People smoke in the building and "all the time". Once again, no one is enforcing any rule or doing anything about it. You see cigarette butts everywhere, and the fire alarm also goes off at least once a week because someone is smoking inside. And give me a huge break management! You can even just walk around and see people leaving their "cigarette butt" collecting bottles on the patio or floor.and you are not doing anything about it? What other evidence do you need to prove that someone that lives in the unit has been smoking in this "smoke free building".
