Called to ask about rentals and Jaycee was extremely helpful and kind. She helped find us the perfect property that fit all our needs. Excited for our upcoming trip!

Really awful and disorganized. Ask for unnecessary amounts of personal info, make you give cc info over the phone, all of which is very unsafe.
I see a common thread in these reviews that they don’t seem to know how to work through Airbnb or Vrbo.
They had an issue with my payment but there was nothing that said that on Vrbo. They never messaged me through the platform that I actually booked on, and were unresponsive to my questions on there.
They tried emailing me and calling me… both places I get a ton of spam. Not about to open something from “beach bums” when I never intentionally interfaced with them. They did not think to include the term VRBO or “Pismo beach” in their subject lines-
And when I called to sort this out they were rude, and completely unapologetic.
Don’t recommend booking with them OR using them for your rental.

When we reached, there weren’t enough towels or toiletries in either of the bathrooms. The heating system was also not working properly and was giving some warning signs. Seems like property management didn’t check the property before our arrival. When we called the property management office, they said someone will come shortly to look into it but nobody came. The next day when we called, they said nobody can come, it’s a holiday. The property management office also didn’t have an idea of where extra blankets were at, we had to do a treasure hunt. The property also didn’t look clean, was pretty dusty inside.

Had a bad experience. Tried to cancel within 30 days. Never heard back from them. Finally got someone on the phone who said a manager would call me back. That never happened. I opened a dispute with my credit card. They waited till my reservation passed to respond. So I ended up paying for the trip, cleaning fee, everything. No attempt to work with me. Just a big your problem not mine.

Be very careful.making long story short, this company promised us to refund our first night because of the evacuation notice we had, and later after few days called us and said we can not, due to misunderstanding! I told them I had 8 other people listened and witnessed what they told us and now they are lying that this was a misunderstanding! Also the property they gave us was in a very bad conditions, beds were perhaps 20+ years old and none of us could sleep on most beds.the bbq was also in a very unsafe condition, half of the rack although spilling gas, did not turn on, so we could not use it properly! Bad company! Bad company! Bad company! Use airbnb instead, at least they have decent people and a big company to respond!

Cute, clean place with extra towels provided if needed. Lots of space. Two bathrooms, two bedrooms. Some boardgames available. The two beds in one of the rooms were a bit on the smaller side to fit two grown adults.so one person ended up sleeping on the couch (we had 5 total adults). I think we could have fit that person in, but it would have been a bit squishy. It was a bit hard to discern where to park since there was an RV parked and few garages that we didn't have access to. And then there was some signage to not block parking.lt was a bit confusing, so we called customer service, but they didn't have any knowledge about our particular abnb location. We ended up just parking and hoping for the best. Some clear directions and signage would have helped a lot.

We LOVED our experience with Beach Bum Holiday Rentals. We stayed in the cutest condo in Pismo. It was clean, well equipped, and the company was so helpful & friendly. Next time we visit Pismo, no need for us to look anywhere else.we will absolutely be booking with Beach Bum.

We stayed at one of the newer properties in Pismo beach and we had a great experience. The management company did a great job communicating before the trip and called on Saturday to make sure everything was OK. The house was in great shape and everything inside was clean and functional. Overall a great experience.

Never rent from here. Super rude staff and were not willing to respond via airbnb which was super shady. WIll steal your money.

Never rent from here. Staff was super rude when we called for some help about reservation. Toned immediately changed when we asked for help dealing with a reservation issue and called us dumb.

Location and size was everything for our family just a few minutes from brother in law and a very short walk to the village and Doc Burnstein's ice cream. 4 bedroom for the 6 adults, a bed for the older twins, and futon for the younger cousins fit all 10 of us plus room for pack and play's for the youngest cousins. The patio was great, fully stocked kitchen, good showers and plenty of hot water for after the spartan race, washer and dryer.everything a group needs for an extra long weekend.

Great experience. Wonderful property. Friendly check in and easy checkout. Location is top notch. 2nd stay inside a year.

We had a great time staying in Pismo Beach at our rental. Despite being located right on Hwy 1/Dolliver Street, we couldn't hear any car noise and slept like babies. We walked to the beach every day with our surfboards and enjoyed our three night stay. Beach Bum was so kind and called us during the stay to make sure that everything was going well and if we had any concerns or needs. Late night key pickup worked super easily as did the key return. We will definitely stay there again or find another location with Beach Bum.

We stayed at 1872 strand way on the beach, Was charged $1300 a night for 4 nights, checked in for new years arrived at the house and it was a mess! The wood around the windows was falling off, duct tape on the window of the microwave, ice maker didn't work, then we went to cook dinner for new years eve and the oven doesn't work! The owners of this house just take every dime of rental money and keep it.they do not maintain ANYTHING! Then when you go to the office and let them know they just say "ok thank you! " we couldn't even cook dinner in a house we were paying $1300 a night for! Also when you try to leave a Negative review on beach bum website they block it!

I've got such mixed feelings on this one. The negative reviews are correct, but so are the positive ones. It's definitely a rental company working through AirBnB so it comes with the inconvenience of doing everything twice, and their properties were not 100% - I couldn't find the wifi code and didn't hear back via email until the next day. However, after some bumps that way, it was an excellent location and all my needs were almost met. I really enjoyed it, but I had to put in my own work here and there too. Worth it for a budget trip, but costs a little more than it should given all that. But I'd do it again!

Oh: and the front desk worker wasn't wearing a mask when we came in. So immunocompromised folks, please be wary.

Rented 1110 Dolliver St in Pismo Beach. There were several issues with the home: downstairs bedroom had broken lamp and ceiling lights/fan were not working, ice maker in refrigerator was broken, there were NO cleaning supplies available in the kitchen, and broken glass on the deck by the BBQ. I called Beach Bum about all issues upon arrival and had to follow up with them the next day before someone showed up. The repair man tried to fix the ice maker but wasn't successful. We had to buy a bag of ice. He had to take the broken lamp with him but was able to get the ceiling lights/fan working. HOWEVER, in the middle of the night, the lights flickered on/off and we were left with NO light in the downstairs bedroom. Most importantly, there was NOTHING for us to clean the kitchen/countertops. All we had was dishwashing liquid, sponge, 1 roll of paper towels, and couple dishwasher pods. How do they expect us to wipe off countertops/stovetop after daily use? ! We were there for 4 days! All contact with Beach Bum staff was unsatisfactory and the office was run by a young gal who didn't seem to care when I expressed my issues with the rental. I will NOT rent from them again.

Great, responsive company for a fun, relaxing vacation. Birds of a Feather, located just across the street from the beach is a great vacation rental with lots of little extras. Kitchen came fully stocked with spices and condiments. Family enjoyed Foosball, ping-pong and karaoke.
