Benihana, Concord CA

Sat at a table instead of at hibachi grill and our table was super wobbly and waitress sucked. Simple request for drink before dinner with appetizers and then wine with dinner. Got drink one appetizer then dinner foods came before other appetizer and had to request my wine far into dinner after 2nd appetizer came. Ugh

One of my favorite restaurants. This one is way better than the one in Sacramento which is the WORSE. The manager, who is Brazilian, was very accommodating to a special request for a mother daughter reunion of 3 years. Even helping us with the setup and all. The place is always a great experience and of course we love the food. Highly recommended and great shopping is nearby.

Took us 1 hr & 45 mins past our reservation time to be seated. The fried rice with chicken made me feel sick. The tables are mostly grill but it was cold in there. The prices are pretty high.
Despite all that the other 7 or 8 with me had a good experience. They loved the food, liked the service, and seemed to kinda enjoyed the show.

My husband an I went to Benihana on 6/15/2018. Our wait time was approximately an hour WITH reservations due to the regional manager overbooking remotely. The restaurant manager, Shazam way absolutely amazing under pressure and the food was excellent.

Showed up at 5: 27 for a 5: 30 reservation then did not get seated til 6 after talking to the manager. Chef was great; food was good. Fun experience but timely wait after making a reservation was a let down.

Soto was the table chef for my birthday dinner held at the Concord, Ca location. He was entertaining, friendly and impressed our party of 10 with an array of unique tricks performed with a skillfulness and ease that can only be found at Benihana's chain. Definitely my favorite Chef so far. I especially loved the group photo from their photographer. I suggest the iced green tea for non-alcoholic beverage drinkers and if you do imbibe, half the table enjoyed the restaurants tropical take on the moscow mule.
