Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, La Jolla CA

The coffee at Bird Rock is as good as any cafe in SD. The atmosphere is comfortable with the open air front. The new location in the Italian neighborhood makes access more convenient for anyone downtown versus trekking up to La Jolla. Food is ok. I recently brought back a bag of coffee beans in my checked bag. TSA searched my bag and it turned out the next person also had a bag of Bird Rock in their bag. Word is out.

Coffee was ok, but the wait was not worth it. Double espresso came out lukewarmin an order of four drinks. Prioritizing drink order and streamlining cashier vs.barista would go a long way to living up to the roasted bean's potential. A cool mission statement though.
