Great food. I'm from the BAy Area (Nor Cal) and I'm real particular about my Seafood. If your ever up North, check out Barbera's fish trap in Halfmoon BAy

Awesome, awesome, awesome. This was so amazing and fresh. My daughter's had the chowder in a bread bowl, I tasted it and it is phenomenal. My mahi and wahoo tacos were showstoppers. My wife had salmon and fried scallop tacos both were outstanding. This is a place I will come back to next time I'm in San Diego.

3rd time around, always here for the award winning Taco. Added blackened seabass and fresh ahi sashimi to my list. Did not disappoint. Will be here again.and again.and again:)

Amazing tacos and fried fish. Definitely worth the wait. Line is out the door so be prepared for that. Fish counter also has a lot of options too.

Highly recommend the Classic Cioppino, it’s a MUST EAT! Lot’s of seafood and the sour dough dipping into the soup is very delicious!

The restaurant was pretty busy full of stress. The customer service was dissatisfying. The food wasn't seasoned well. I was lightly chastised for not calling in my order for take out by the waitress and I left the restaurant full of anxiety. I had to go to my hotel and decompress. My family nor company will not return.

The best seafood tacos I have had! So so good. My husband and I are from Indiana and first time visiting this GEM! Very long wait in line to order food but we weren’t in a hurry and loved looking at all the FRESH food they had on display! People were walking in and buying food to take home and cook; loved this aspect as well as ordering fresh and eating in the place! Not super big inside so seating is tight. There is a cute patio where there’s seating as well and tables inside.
I got the track taco and salmon taco as well as a bowl of lobster bisque.this would be my GO TO place if I lived in the area. Everything had so much flavor and could taste the freshness! My husband got a mix of all the fresh catches of the day as tacos and he enjoyed them all! When we come back to Cali this will definitely be on our list of places to stop!

Talking fresh local fish, prepared simply and super delicious.this place has generous portions and is priced perfect. The wait can be long, but the food comes out quick. Go and treat your special person!

I come here every time I'm in town. The swordfish is my favorite by far (get the lemon butter marinade). There's usually a line almost to the door so expect a wait, but the staff keeps everything moving very efficiently. You can also order take out if you want to skip the line. Parking is street parking so bring a few coins for the meter.

If you are looking for fresh seafood, keep reading. The only thing I struggle with here is WHAT to order! Keeping it simple, opted for an appetizer and 2 tacos:

Medium Shrimp cocktail - served with El Indio chips (winning combination), plenty of shrimp, diced cucumber, tomato, onion, and cilantro perfect for sharing or have it for yourself. Not to saucy, just right.

The Track Taco - fresh BIG pacific shrimp marinated in chipotle butter, topped with this really fantastic mango slaw. Topped with cheese and their homemade white sauce, tomatillo sauce, avocado, and a nice helping of queso fresco. *This will likely be a must have to accompany every order i have here.:)

Seared Ahi Taco - This is their standard menu item. You choose your fish, how you wanted marinated, and how you want is served. Taco was my choice today, with Lemon-Garlic Butter marinade. Seared Ahi was huge, i mean i'm really feeling like this was a super generous portion. Seared perfectly and super fresh tasting. Served on El Indio's corn tortilla, standard cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and white sauce. (They advertise 4oz portions for fish tacos).

Overall service was great, and expect a line - however once you order and sit - the food turn around is not bad at all. They have beers on draft, kids menu, and a host of other menu options so come hungry! Parking can be a challenge, metered street parking and at just a really funky road fork. This should really be at the top of your list for fast-casual fresh fish meals!

Here to see my grandson graduate Marine Corps boot camp. Everyone wanted seafood so I consulted Yelp and found this restaurant. So glad I did all 8 of us loved this fresh food. My son the Dallas chef was with us and loved the clams and mussels. I had scallops best I've ever had. Wish I lived here would come every week.

Incredibly fresh seafood (imagine that)! We made the minor mistake of coming on a weekend night, so the line took a good 30 minutes to get through. Definitely try the tacos, but you can't go wrong with a filet here either. Their chowder bowls are decent enough, but I'd recommend going up to northern California (e.g. San Francisco) for an even better experience in that field.

Nice place, waiting in a line for 20-30 min, waiters are not welcoming, when you r in the menu means raw. Nobody tells you. I ordered taco, had fried crab instead. Check your receipt before leaving the front.

This place is always delicious! We went on a Sunday afternoon early afternoon and it wasn't even that crowded which was really a surprise cuz normally the line is all the way out the door. I had grilled swordfish with the lemon sauce and it was incredible.

The BEST fish tacos! This place was recommended by multiple Lyft drivers as the best seafood in San Diego, they weren’t kidding! This place was small and cozy with a cute patio. We waited in line about 20 minutes, definitely worth the wait!

Line was definitely long. This seems to be a tourist stop for visitors. Tacos seem to be most popular choice to get your protein, perhaps because of the portion for the money. The ceviche was excellent and variety of fish was great. Casual eatery.

If you come by here and the line is not out the door then get on this. Just stop find parking and get some. Arguably the best in San Diego (Mitch's). Great lobster bisque, great fish tacos.
