Cole Hardware, San Francisco CA

We are so lucky to have Cole-Fox hardware in San Francisco. It's a real old school hardware store. The staff really know their stuff, and are very helpful in helping you get the best results from your projects. Don't go to the big box, go to Cole-Fox! I genuinely love these people.

Great staff who have been there forever and so know where everything is; and they have everything. A well curated collection.

Depending on your needs (basic needs only- anything serious you go to Discount Builders on Mission and Duboce) its adequate. Slightly pricey, especially with the advantage of location.

This is an awesome hardware store. They carry just about everything you can think of that a hardware store should have. Great customer service too!

Love this shop! Bit hard to find stuff inside as aisles aren't labeled, but the staff is super helpful. Good prices + convenient location in the city. Happy to have them in my neighborhood.:)

Awesome. Staff here is THE BEST. Always helpful and super efficient. This place is priced fair and has a huge variety such that I always find what I want. Way better to buy here instead of amazon as its local and quick. With that said, parking isn’t the easiest.so bring a friend to hang in the car in the alley while you run inside.

This place is great! They quite literally have everything! The safe are friendly and the store is a wonderful maze of fun that you didn't know you could have! Plus they have AC!

It's got a ton of stuff shoved into a tiny, hole in the wall type of place. I've been a frequent shopper here for a few years now & the only complaint I have would be that I love to look around at everything just to see what might be new at the store and I tend to be treated like I'm going to steal something! I can understand that security is important, but come on! Do they really need to follow me around so closely that if I stop walking abruptly, they bump into me?

Amazing, they have everything! I got a flat tire and was able to buy air compressor in the center of the city, wow!

Where to begin? I have come to absolute ly LOVE Coles on 4th Street. I am a full time handyman and actually visit the store every morning and spend about $100 a week. This place has the BEST people. Dave, my man, has become a good friend and is incredibly knowledgeable. Michael, Sharon, Polena, everyone is special and wonderful. Please, please visit this gem.
