Ramen Restaurant Daikokuya reviews
27Nostalgic more than Amazing the menu has few options But has allowed them to polish what they do offer. They keep it simple yet traditional and sitting inside takes you back to a different era.
Cash only but there's an ATM inside if you need it. Best ramen I've had, spicy ramen was just the right spicyness. Seats are limited but only waited 5-10 minutes during anime expo weekend.
My favorite ramen place hands down.
Super cool atmosphere, quick service (I went during lunch on a weekday) and great food.
Best ramen In LA hands down
Seriously worth the wait. It is very close to Tokyo style and even the service is similar to Tokyo. I really recommend anyone who wants to try Ramen for the first time to come here.
It is a small place but worth the wait. I would wait 2 hrs to eat here)
To begin with, the 45 minute wait. IS WORTH IT. The milky pork broth is heavenly. The robust pork flavor is essence of the soul. Tonkotsu in it's truest form. I opted for the spicy miso bomb, which added the right kick without being overbearingly hot. The melody of the broth/bomb duo is magic. Now, the noooodles. Firm, fresh and on point. The perfect vehicle for the magnificent broth. They blend as a perfect harmony of textures and flavors. The chashu is fabulous. Tender fatty pork that melts away when you place it in your ramen hole. And to top all this goodness off is a perfectly made ajitsuke tamago. Gooey center, and gentle flavor. To sum it up, this is one of the best tonkotsu in LA. Umai!
Average to below average ramen. The noodles were not made from scratch. The broth was quite salty. The egg was basically hard boiled. Long wait for nothing special.
Good food but poor service. The servers were extremely rude. Our server handed us the cheque halfway through our meal, kept asking us every 5 minutes if we were done even though we were clearly still eating! The service spoiled the mood and didn't allow us to enjoy the food.
