Der Biergarten reviews
28Go for the beer, stay for the - well - the beer. My favorite place to have a private conversation in public and get a good beer from tenders that know the craft!
Great outdoor German style tab house with a great selection of beers. The have German themed food and all outdoor seating. The only complaint about this place is you are subject to the elements. Consequently, when it is hot or cold out, it can be a little uncomfortable.
A very well run beer garden. Open to the elements with THE LARGEST selection of German beers! Yet, if you are a slave to IPAs or other micro brews, they have your back!
The kitchen serves up a mean hot soft pretzel with herb butter and two styles of mustard on the side. Of course there is a series of German themed dishes for you to enjoy.
Prost!
When I drank, I looked up Der Biergarten. Since I was in the hospital, I have given up drinking.
German beers on tap, delicious pretzels, and a nice outdoor vibe. The corn hole area is waste of space, but otherwise a great spot for a drink any time.
They have my favorite beer on tap, Weihenstephaner. From the oldest brewery on the planet, dating back to 1000, no other beer can top it off.
Unique in Midtown, the all-outdoor Biergarten has an incredible German and US Craft Beer selection. Perfect for any day when the skies are blue! (Closed during rain) Definitely branch out of our beer comfort zone and try the daily special during happy hour, or ask the beer-tenders for a taste of their current favorite. Don’t forget to order a pretzel - the glasses here are huge! Easy to order a liter sized draft or 3!
Decent enough beer, sausage and a lively crowd if you happen to be downtown. Customer service was lacking during my 3 visits (1 time to the level of rudeness).
Definitely NOT a destination pub. Drive up to Katherin’s to experience good food and beer with a MUCH better vibe.
