21Dr. Mead recently performed a total left knee replacement for me. From my initial visit I knew I was speaking to the right doctor for me. He took so much time answering my questions and explaining the procedure to me and that was reassuring. However he asked ME why I thought I was ready for this surgery. He said it was a big surgery and it was important to him that he felt I was ready. I explained in length my pros and cons list and why the pros greatly outweighed the cons. He never rushed me, listened intently and when I was done he told me why he agreed and was confident that I truly was ready. The surgery went seamlessly and I started PT immediately. I’m hoping to never have to touch my other knee but if I do I will be right back at Golden State Orthopedics in Walnut Creek with Dr. Mead and his PA Katie!
