Enterprise Rent-A-Car reviews
39Way less than average. Everything was great right upto deliverance. I got no local help and was routed to san Jose airport crew whom had to be the most rude un helpful rental ladies that were verý negligent even with proper paperwork established by their corporate office. I decided to walk and rent elsewhere.
Each I rent a vehicle when I go to the garage to pick up vehicle they don’t have what I pay for. I paid for a luxury car and they try to give a Chevy suburban or mustang. If I we wanted those vehicles we would have drove our own vehicles. They tried giving everything I didn’t make a reservation for. I use enterprise for work. So we rent often. And this seems to happen every time. The time before I ordered a luxury SUV. I called and asked that on the web site a luxury SUV is a q80 or similar and I asked what is considered similar. Customer service said Escalade. So I made a reservation for the luxury SUV. When I got to the counter at they ask me if I want to up grade for $25.00 a day more for the Escalade. I why should I be asked to pay and extra 25.00 for a SUV in the class I reserved. I had put in for satellite radio which was listed at 24.99 a week on the web site, the person behind the counter started to charge me $24.99 a day. He said I was wrong. No he was. I gave up and forget I don’t want it! Beware. I have reserved another car unfortunately it’s though enterprise again. I ordered a luxury vehicle, let’s see what they try to give me! I will post my out come.
First time renting out of San Jose airport. Usually rent from National, but Enterprise was far cheaper (even though they're the same parent company).
Friendly, not overbearing staff. Decent vehicle selection. Quick in and out, both when leaving and returning to the airport. Will use them again next time we're in the area
My work requires quite a bit of travel and as I started out at the beginning it was not obvious which companies to choose when booking trips. AFter many difficult experiences with a few different rental agencies I selected Enterprise as my choice for a trip and from the moment I walked up to the counter at the airport rental area to the moment I drove away, with a smile, the experience was a breath of fresh air. From that trip on over two years ago now whenever possible I choose Enterprise and have not once been disappointed. Having rented cars over 50 times now all across the country it is so reassuring to see that big E because I know the level of incredible customer service I will get is going to be awesome! That's not to say that things don't happen or its always perfect but even when things may not be sailing smooth the staff at every Enterprise I have worked with has always been polite, friendly and very positive! The experience means everything and that's why I only rent from Enterprise!:)
I can't say enough about how great ENTERPRISE is. My 9 year old daughter has been battling cancer for 5 years and has been undergoing treatment for the last 5 weeks out of state with little hope for the future. I flew out today to pick up my wife and daughter and bring them home because the hospital said she needed to drive instead of fly. I prepaid for a rental car with HERTZ before I came up. When I arrived they refused to give me a vehicle. Even though I prepaid, I still needed a deposit and they refused to accept anything other than a credit card. Even after I explained the situation and the reason why I was here in the first place. Here I am stranded hundreds of miles from home. They were heartless and did not care. I went to the Enterprise counter and explained to them what was going on. Even though they did not have many vehicles left, not only took care of me but they also made sure to match the cost. I'm so grateful for their kindness and professionalism.
I rented the car on 8/24 at 6: 12 pm and returned it 8/25 at 6: 59 and was charged 1 hour extra and 2 days of Customer Facility Charge and Vehicle Licence Recovery Fee. You would think that for less than an hour (47 minutes to be exact) you get a grace period.
The car was competitively priced and upon our arrival was ready for us. Very efficient process from reservation to return!
Great customer service. The young lady who helped me could not have been nicer. She took the time to help with my luggage and waited to see if I had any questions regarding the vehicle. Her level of customer service is why I always go back to Enterprise. As for the vehicle it was flawless.
Great service when picking out the car on 6th floor, rep was helpful showing features of the car. Return was swift and friendly. However, I feel that counter help should have explained the "gas" feature. Felt that I was ripped off, as the policy and "gas in car" feature was not explained, and I chose the wrong one. I paid for a full tank of gas, when my short trip did not use a measurable about of gas. Lesson learned.
They were out of cars when we arrived with a reservation. We had to wait longer because the cars they received back in stock were trucks or SUVs
Quick and easy to get in and out. Fast process! All the employees were very friendly, even got a nice upgrade for cheap! The best part, no high-pressure sales. That’s the quickest way to lose my business, but Enterprise has gotten really good about not pressuring customers into insurance.
Been a member for over 10years! My go to for a rental when I'm traveling or just want to drive something different and sporty.customer service is on point with no complaints in and out quick.
Very friendly and understanding. I rented a car via the Costco travel site, and the next morning when I started my car it sounded awful (even though it was a 2018). I drove it back to the airport and they exchanged the car with no issues (they too agreed something sounded wrong with it). They were very nice about the whole thing. I was a little annoyed because I originally rented a compact and ended up in a truck.
I upgraded my car to a sedan full size for the same price for a intermediate The service was quick and I didn’t have to wait
Really terrible car. Dirty, couldn’t see out the windows. Disgusting chunky something on the carpet. No key faub. Zero power upon acceleration. This was dangerous. I’d press the pedal all the way down and nothing would happen for a few minutes. I was really disappointed as a long time customer and member, to be given this car.
My first car was full of ants. When I went back to switch out the car the agent was unable to provide any accommodation (upgrade, free gas, etc.) to me for taking the time out of my vacation to switch cars.
I used the kiosk at the entrance which gave me time to review the prices comfortably and at my own pace. Then went to the 6th floor, found that all the employees were busy and had to wait maybe 4 minutes (didn't mind at all). I was greeted very nicely by the employee, I didn't get the small car I expected but was offered a nicer mid size car for the same price which made it okay, although I spent a little more on gas. Overall very happy customer.
The car I rented was not as clean as I would expect from Enterprise. This wasn't the first time I rented from them but it was the first time I had to clean the car myself. Otherwise, picking up and dropping off was very easy.
Pushy sales people, when I came back the guy that was supposed to check me in made me show a receipt to 'prove' that I filled the car up even though the tank was full.
On top of that, the rental car they gave me smelled like Indian spices and was beat up, paint had a bunch of scuffs and scratches and there was paint marker on the window.
Online reservation was simple, received an email about using the kiosk to get through more quickly, so I tried it since there was a huge line. The kiosk gives no option to search by reservation number, just by scanning your driver's license. It was unable to find my reservation, as was the same with the two people ahead of me. I resigned to standing in the line, with about 8 people ahead of me, which took nearly a half hour to move 1 spot ahead. There was exactly one employee at the counter, not a smart move on a holiday weekend (Saturday before July 4). In this time, I was able to call Enterprise, which informed me that my Driver's License Number was different on my reservation, an old ID from several years prior, and I've used Enterprise since then. That particular representative was unable to help me change it and attempted to transfer me, of course I was disconnected. I started digging through the website on my phone and was able to change my DL number on my account, tried the kiosk and was able to check in.
I headed upstairs to get the car, the guy that greeted me there was very helpful. He made several references to my Rick & Morty t-shirt. I decided on the 2018 Nissan Altima, a definite step up from my previous rental of a Versa.
I needed to drive to Fresno, driving through Los Banos. As is known, there are a lot of bugs in that area during the summer. The first time I attempt to use the washer fluid, it spurts out a few drops and then the car informs me that the washer fluid is empty. Inconvenient, as there are now smeared bugs across the windshield. This is actually the 2nd time I've received a car from Enterprise with no washer fluid.
Overall, the car was fine, clean, almost headache inducing new car smell, bluetooth capability, and decent gas mileage. If I hadn't been able to figure out the kiosk by myself, I'd probably still be standing in the line a week later.
