Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que Hayward

The Hayward location is fabulous. All their people are very helpful and polite. They are doing a great job during the pandemic!

The ribs were a little dry and tough but the cornbread corn and mashed potatoes were off the chains

Food is delicious. We always order The all American feast. It can feed up to 4-5 people. The only complain is that they tell you to come pick up your food at a certain time and its never ready when you pick it up.

AMAZIIIIING SERVICE! Thank you Kaylee for your outstanding service late Saturday (3/14/2020) night. Very attentive, friendly and energetic! Such and awesome vibe. Food was very good as well, but our waitress stole the show! We truly appreciate your infectious smile in a world of horrible customer service trending. Atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome, I believe it was the manager on duty (?) has a whole party of at least 15 laughing for a while and every table within view or as we left restaurant had a smile on their face! Our first visit left an everlasting positive impression! GIVE THEM ALL RAISES!

My daughter and I went to Famous Dave for dinner, and we had the rudest and nastiest server I had ever met. She looked at at us funny I wanted to order a alcoholic drink and asked for her opinion on a beverage. The waitress rolled her eyes and pointed out a few different options. When she left my daughter and I left and ate dinner at Applebees. We had a beautiful time. I can't believe rude the server was. I am afraid to even eat there at all.

Absolutely amazing every time! The staff is the best always friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. The best bbq in the bay! Worth every penny!

Understaffed and the pork aliser was literally all fat, everything else was delicious but don't come here if your on a time crunch

Service and food was good. One of the costumers was watching a video on his phone with it blasting. Wish the manager would have said something to him.

Been here a few times on weekday evenings and it's not as busy as the one in Alameda. Food is just as good and comes out within a reasonable amount of time. I like this place a lot.

These guys have great food! I just wish the service was more consistent. Meaning it can get pretty slow some times. Other than that it's one of my favorite rib places.

When ordering online they are patient with you ordering & when I get there it's normally ready & still hot.quality!

We stood at the door for 10 min. Before being sat And sat at our table a TRUE 15min. We're never acknowledged once! This just after never being acknowledged at Elephant Bar accross the parking lot. We wound up at Applebee's the least if our choices and had spectacular service!

Service staff were pleasant. Establishment eating area clean. Ladies room was not. Food presentation was good but it arrived cold, green beans were blah and rubbery, ribs were not tender.felt like I was gnawing the meat from the bone! The slaw was decent. There was a diverse group of patrons during my visit so there appeared to be a lot of folks who thought Famous Dave's bbq was good. I did not.

Not a good experience. I waited a long time for my order to come and it was incorrect. Waiter checked in on me one time and I had to ask for a refill.

The food is delicious, but the service is extremely slow. It took well over an hour to get our food.

The beef brisket was delicious and so tender you could cut it with a fork! Service was excellent and everyone was friendly & courteous!

The food is excellent! The price, reasonable! The wait time is pathetic! I ordered online and was told it would be ready to pick up in 30 minutes. So, I was there in 30 minutes. But then I waited an additional 30 minutes before receiving my order. I don't know what takes so long! This is not my first visit. No, it's not because they are busy or short staffed! It's because they are slow!

I think new management and a different clientele have unfortunately caused the quality to drop. It used to be our go to place in Hayward. No longer.

Service sucked, it took them almost an hr to bring me my food. I went there last night with my family and everyone except me got warm food, about 25-30 minutes later my food came out after everyone else's, it was super cold, my beef brisket was well undercooked had to send it back and that took another 25 minutes. I am never going back their again. Worse please to eat at and I highly recommend going somewhere else, my family and friends and I won't be going back!
