The food is average. They give you generous portions of fish, but quality and presentation are lacking.

Decent Japanese food at good prices compared to the rest of downtown

PSA: they are on vacation and closed till 12 Feb 2019.

2nd time here. Food is above average. Service is pretty decent.
Got "box D" and it was a TON of food for ~20. The tonkatsu was a tad salty and the teriyaki chicken was a bit sub par. Was too stuffed to try the salmon. Gave the Cali rolls to my kids.

I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for decades, although it has change ownership the food luckily remained the same.

Tiny quantify, sushi are just ok quality. We went for the Sukiyaki but honestly the quality was just average.

Good sushi, very friendly staff and prompt service! Price is comparable to other sushi places in downtown San Mateo, but this one seems to be the only one that's open in the early afternoon, which is a huge plus!

Food was good but lacking wait staff. Forgot to make one of our items. Fish was fresh. Sukiyaki was also pretty decent.

I highly recommend this place. My sister and I had sushi lunch here. All of our picks were delicious and freshly prepared. An overall great experience.
