Fwy 5S Rest Area El Tejon reviews
29Very good clean rest area. Much cooler than the upper north rest area. They have many stalls for both men/women. There are many vending machines, plenty of parking.
Nice spot for a break they have vending machines with snacks n drinks and a smoking area with benches the place seemed well kept and clean overall
WOW I got impressed. When I saw the bathrooms the were really clean and stock with paper and soap
El Tejon Rest Area is a very nice stop to use the restroom, stretch your legs and take a short break from driving. All California Rest Areas are always clean and stocked with supplies and well maintained. After driving for hours l always stop for a break, try stopping the next time you see one and take a short break.
Beautiful, scenic setting. Ample amount of clean restrooms. Excellent areas for relaxing with shade structures and picnic tables. Nice vending area where you can get a refreshing drink. And FREE electrical vehicle charging with state of the art rapid chargers! Almost your perfect rest stop. But no recycling? When your selling plastic bottles, you should provide recycling containers!
Good place to stop and rest up. Has rest rooms, vending machines, water dispensers and separate lay-by for autos and trucks. Pricy vending machines though as a single cold coffee cost $3.50 but also run by a handicapped person so bought two.
A fairly green stop, the restrooms were fairly clean on a weekday. Covid era precautions were being followed up to a point. Someone was there spraying various fittings and door knobs and the amenities dispensers.
This is a refreshing break from LA traffic after climbing the famous 5 route north called the "Grapevine". Clean, lots of shade and restrooms are clean & safe.
Bathrooms full of mosquitoes and other flying bugs. Workers there more interested in trimming bushes. This place was much better before remodeling several years ago
Nice place to stop and check out this historic landmark often overlooked. Too bad they're closed because of restrictions.
This is your average rest area that you see next to highways. It has average bathrooms and good parking. I mean it's a rest area bit much to say really.
Very clean and easy on and off for the freeway. There is a lot of parking but I recommend going to the middle to be closest to the restrooms. Garbage cans are available for trash and there must be at least a dozen vending machines to choose from. There is even an ice cream vending machine. A great stop after the long climb up the grapevine.
I was able to park sit, and rest a bit and think about how grateful I forget to be for a place to rest and call home and what I'm going to do to stay in gratitude. My car was dirty and I filled with suitecases and I needed a shower. So I was watched and the police say right next to me. Hard pill to swallow, but I get it. At least I got to rest.
During offtimes this rest stop is fine but peak times can be a nightmare with bad drivers and dirty bathrooms.
Clean restrooms with all the amenities, pet friendly walk spaces, trash cans and easy on/off freeway access makes this a great pit stop. There are also vending machines though I didn't check the selection
I mean it's your typical rest stop but always has plenty of doggy bags and that's usually why I stopped is to let my dogs use the restroom. The benches grass area vending machine area and pet area are always clean and well maintained sometimes the bathrooms can get a little messy but I feel like that's typical of any rest stop with so many people Travelers stopping at all hours of the day or night. It felt safe there even late at night
Nop restroom really bad and not clean at all. I think they should have a security guard at least during nite. I got scare in the lady's restroom by a homeless man.
Nothing much to write home about. A rest area with everything a rest area usually has. Nothing more that I noticed. Last one before LA, I think, so that has value.
Bathrooms were better than decent. 4 stars. Plus we got to witness the success of a traveler finally freeing the wheel with the flat tire of their vehicle.
